Hey everyone.

Brief summary: This is my first grow and I am currently 6 weeks into vegging. However, about 2 weeks ago, I noticed the floor of my grow set-up covered with little pests. The adult ones are about the size of a period, and the little larvae are about half the size. I asked around and I expected the worst and assumed they were spider mites. However, everytime I go in to check on my plants, I always just find them on the floor of the room or in my soil. I have not seen any on my leaves. I know spider mites are naked to the eye, hence why I am a bit unsure what they are because I can clearly see them.

Some of the leaves on my plants are dried up and yellow at the tips, and in one case, one of the leaves on one of my plants has become pretty grey and dry. (Could be due to feeding and/or bugs). I have not found any silky webbings, but I do not want to become too relaxed and assume that the pests are nothing. Any help identifying these soil mites will really help me alot.

Below is a close-up pic of one of the bugs.

I went to the hydro shop here and the guy recommended me a spider mite control. All I've done was spray the top and bottom of all my leaves. If they are not spider mites, any recommendations as to how to treat them?

Thanks once again everybody!

You don't need to post the same question in two forums.
This Question should be in the Cannabis Infirmary.

Is that a Mite Don't think so but what did he sell you?
See tiny little yellow spots on your leaves?
Any very small black spots Under the leaf?

Yeah, really sorry about posting twice.
He sold me SMC Premium Quality Leaf Wash.
There are a few tiny yellow spots on the top of some of the leaves.
Some of the dry leaves have very small spots, but they are not really black. They look more yellow-ish brown.

Check the undersides of the leaves along the main vein for eggies, you'll know what you're up against.I would just hang a nps for 24-48 hours and whatever it is,it is no more

same thoughts exactly. it doesnt look like a traditional spider mite, but 8 legs gives it away.

I was watching expedition borneo and they showed a spider/ant, lol, it had the body shape of an ant, but 8 legs and spider eyes, was really freaky, maybe that is a spider/cricket ot somethin, lol

It's too big for a spidermite.
But then mabe it's not the ones we see.
Don't know.. but it's good it's still in veg.
I havn't tried No Pest Strips but I know some sware by them.
Get rid of what ever that is and make SURE it's gone before you flower!
SMC Premium Quality Leaf Wash should do the trick.... I handwashed each leaf on a small clone with just water and h2o2 got rid of them.. but I wouldn't want to try that with a larger plant.
