whats happening bro! glad to see things are going good I just Chopped my Blue Mystic at 61 days  :yummy: :canabis: :yoinks: :friends: :hotbounce :jump:

That plant was looking sweet man. I think you're lens has oil on it or something because it's a little blurry in some spots...but other than that, I'm hoping mine looks just as good when she's done. Shoot me some nugget shots up close.

wassup mystic.. looking real nice!

i like that little cloner you have there.. is that just water they're in? Do you use an airstone in there?

thanx.
AW

What Up AW....Yeah, just simple air stones...hooked up 4 of them with a few tubes and t joints...nothing special. This time around I'm going to drill the holes bigger, but otherthan that, was happy. Mr. Postman's popsicle/ice cube tray method didn't work for me.

Have you ever just cloned in plain soil????

yeah the only successful tries i've had were in soil.. and lol i failed the Mr Postman popsicle thing too.. but don't tell him i don't wanna burst his bubble :)
i like that little setup you have... looks simple enough.. did you add any nutes after the roots set in?

I have some 4-10-3 Root Stimulator by Fertilome that I added 1/2 mL...just enough to give them food once the roots had taken off. I'm going try rooting in plain soil next time around. Did you just use a dixe cup or a 16 oz deal? How did you water/keep them moist?

i used a 16 oz cup and used a good amount of perlite with some foxfarm potting mix (the stuff in the red bag).
i had no prob keepling them moist with a dome and i watered them from the bottom when they neesed watering.
hopefully you're more patient than me.. i found myself getting impatient and digging them up to look for roots lol.
I've only done a few and they all rooted.. like i said it was the only method that worked for me.
A friend of mine just clones in straight dirt with no dome or misting at all... throws them under some ghetto 2 year old shoplights and gets 100% everytime for years lol. Anytime he comes over and sees my dead clones he laughs pretty hard at me and all the effort i put into cloning.

Sounds like me...LOL

Here's an update for all you out there...you'll love these pics.

I've sprouted 4 new "girls"...2 Durban Poison and 2 White Widow. The White Widow I have in flower now just isn't mom material...grew way too slowly, but it's budding nicely at least.

Here's some photos of the flowering girls that will be coming out of the cabinet in about 2 weeks to 3 weeks. I'm probably going to pull around day 60-63 it looks like.

Here is Blue Mystic 1...my most uniform plant. I've pulled some clones from this beauty and 3 of them just got put into the flower cab. I have 2 more clones from it still in veg.

Here is Blue Mystic 2...a Stretcher...but still a nice plant. I have 2 of it's clones in flower now. This girl is f'n stinky. Really can smell the skunk genes...crazy smelly. I'm glad I have this filter now.

Here is the crazy deformed in a way, Bagseed #2 - #1 got chopped due to hermie. Now this plant has grown slow, but has really thick "leathery" indica leaves and it's frosting nicely. This plant is about 2 weeks behind the Blue Mystics.

Now, here's a Bud Shot of some samples before and after drying a.k.a. defrosting in the Microwave...

I hope you enjoy. I'll get some more shots of the bonsai and my veg room next time.

Oh yeah, I also picked up some new potting solutions...IE grow bags. So far they are a pain in the ass, but I think I filled them too much...and I'm needing some 1/2 gallon ones for vegging, because the 1 gallon fill my cove up too quickly.

In any case, stick around! Here's the clones crowding the flowering cab.

Add on...I picked up Mexican Guano, Jamaican Guano, BioBizz Bloom Stimulator and a few other extras that should make my mission towards organic more of a reality.

Here she is...looking oh so beautiful

Here she is...looking oh so beautiful

As you'll see from the Cove Pics, I love you all so much, I moved all my stuff around just to get some snapshots for all of you...the pictures pretty much speak for themselves, but if you are blind, there are a few of the now braided branches and then some of the other branches getting bent backwards and then under the main stalk. It's going to be sweet....stay tuned....

pretty cool bonsais Mystic. I haven't really looked much into keeping bonsai mother plants.

Do you do any controlling of the root zone? I know in bonsai growing they trim the roots instead of up potting when root bound.

Yeah, this plant used to look like this...

So it's roots were spread out all over 3 gallons and now is in a 5.5" pot. I had to trim quite a bit and really this is not the "ideal" way of doing things.

What you really want to do is get a really nicely fimmed clone that has multiple tops and then just root the clone and bonsai from there. Depending on the strain, between 6-12 months, you'll need to pull the plant, chop the sides by 1-2" and the bottom by 2". Break up the remaining roots and plant in the same pot with new soil...and the process keeps going.

Whenever you want to rid yourself of the strain, meaning when better genetics come in, you just up pot the bonsai and let it veg out and flower. Just an easier way to keep your genetics. You can easily fit plants into a small space. For instance you could make a Large Tupperware Bonsai room if you wanted...and it'd be so easy to control temps and keep it contained.

You can also use bonsais for seeding purposes and not have to use up a ton of space. You can do a bonsai of a male, bonsai of a female and then put them in your flowering tupperware for bonsai's and let them grow naturally and seed naturally. Hardly any space used and still can get your seeds.

I'm high and rambling about all my cool ideas...I should stop now...LOL

Anyhow, to be honest, I'm still just scratching the surface on this whole bonsai thing and I'm not really impressed all that much with the Blue Mystic compared to others I've smoked (but not yet grown)...so that's why I'm doing the braiding etc. If I wanted to bonsai for clones I would spread the branches out, not bind them up...but it'll look sweet as hell.

Hope you're feeling better bro. Thanks for walking by  .

A Few Updates

A Few Updates

Hey everyone...attached are the new photos of the girls. The bud shots are from Blue Mystic 1 and 2.

They are already in the 2nd week of flush right now and trichs are almost all cloudy. There is only a few spots of amber...but not enough to even count. We'll check the trichs again tomorrow and see how they look. Harvest should be any day now.

Here is also a cab shot with all my now flowering clones in there. They'll love the extra space once BM1 and BM2 are gone.

Stay Tuned.

Sorry for the late updates!

Sorry for the late updates!

sorry for no updates yet...just been busy...you know how it is.

Here's the deal...I cut both Blue Mystics. Have been already sampling for about 3 weeks because my last stash was gone...SO, between the two plants I yielded 6.5 ounces WET. It's now in jars in their burping cycle...I'll take some pics in a few days when the big nugs are cured and I'll post some shots. It's smoking OK with a short...maybe...what now...um...3 days cure. Still a little harsh, but not so bad that it hurts...but it has berry undertones this time. YES!!!

I'm going to cure for about 2 more weeks on the big nugs, but will smoke on the popcorn buds for the next little bit. I'll let you know what the estimated dry weight was based upon a ratio factor...meaning...one bud weighed 1 ounce, so I'll weigh it after and then guestimate total weight. True stoner fashion. LOL

My dwarf White Widow...you'll understand when you see the pics...is budding nicely. The whole plant is 4 nugs, that's it!...but they are frosting up nicely.

The Blue Mystic clones are budding nicely and the new strains are coming along...we'll talk to ya in a few days!!!
