Mylar! Where do you get it?

well i just got back from the depot and i picked up some of that stuff pontiac posted. Im prolly gonna install it later n ill post pics of the before and after to show lightproofing difference

Homedepot DOES carry mylar

Its called "reflectix insulation"; its basically bubblewrap with mylar on it. Its very effective and better than regular mylar, imho. The dimpled surface increases surface area and reduces hotspots.

a 16 In. x 25 Ft. roll will cost $15
a 24 In. x 25 Ft. roll will cost $21
a 4 Ft. x 25 Ft. roll will cost $42

Installed this stuff and its night and day. The lights u can still see are from the lid which doesn't have any on it and the sides where my fans are. Anyone know how i can get the fans lightproofed? Anyway u can see the diff.

for real cheap, you can get an old cardboard box from like pizza or something and fold it to create a light trap.
