My Trudeau Garden 2020!!!

Seeds soaked in water march 5, planted out side in their forever homes May 20th.

Beds are 4ftx3ft and 2ft tall and its their first year made, its organically ammended and has had a SST and a compost tea. Topped with hairy vetch and crimsom clover and straw. And where started and tarped early in the year.

The strains this year are GG#4, Bluberry, Black dawg, and Snowberry blue... All the girls are from non fem seeds.

So did you start a bunch of each type, then select the best female of each at preflower? That would take quite a bit of indoor room.

There was a bit of a selection thats for sure starting number was 150 but 20 made it to be planted

Every evening it drops near 5'C the growth tips change to a purple hue on the Snowberry blue... The stem is a Dark purple, should be some nice colors come fall!!

Yep a Ontario grower, we just had a nice heat wave for the last week, and now a few days of rain and cooler weather ahead.

Can watch them grow in the heat!

Trying to keep it some what clean looking so the wife doesnt get pissy haha... Also some what trying to keep the girls below the fence on the deck so they are not visible from the road ( out of sight out of mind)

Little up date on the ladies!!! Pictures were from July 1st good ole Canada Day in the North!

Most are pushing 6ft diameters, im letting the cover crop go to seed so i dont have to purchase more seed for following years (price is outrageous in my area)

We have an other month of growth before flower starts which is awesome to have, will be giving a seed sprout tea some time this weekend ( when ever the seeds finish sprouting) corn, alfalfa, and barley.

Starting to notice a ant issue and will be dealing with that with borax and sugar pucks and other ant traps, will also be putting up second layer of trellis in the coming weeks and some privacy cloth for the neighbors a few doors down who cant keep to their own business.

Fucking Ants are persistent! They have burrowed in parts of the main stem of the plants, but i have been able to slowly diminish their numbers

Cover crop and mulch has brought in many worms which is awesome to see.

Going to apply a seed sprout tea tomorrow

SLOWLY getting the second layer of trellis net up, tallest part of the plants is reaching 8ft and all are over 6ft around!

We have had a very hot spell with no rain for the last 2 months which has been a hassle to conserve water!

Cant wait for the second week of august to see the beginnings of the next chapter!!

Okay this post is more so a question, bigger update in the first week of august!!

Im curious how many people have plant with a very tight stem structure, not the typical growth partern and no its not a re veg its grown like this fron a weee baby... I can see the bud structure being like 2 liter pop bottles due to close branching

First 2 are of the Snowberry blue very shaggy looking plant with a different structure then i normally see.

Last 2 are of a Gorrila glue just to show the difference and how much more "Normal" it looks.

Yes, we have had an extended drought & heat wave here. Your plants seem to be loving it. I am jealous of your exposed sunny grow area - much of my back yard is shaded most of the day.

Watch for PM btw. I have already had some - but then I always do.

Ample air flow, super healthy plants and some preventative foliar spray have kept it at bay so far!!!

Last year my cucumbers and squash had it and i think playing in the garden and the girls got it that way.
