damn bro your just making that the veg box!! I cant wait to see your flower box hahaha. What strains you using? Like I said it'll be another week at least til I get my box filled. Then I plan on vegging them under a 400hps for another week and then flowering those bitches!!!
UPDATE-Box is finished this weekend, all I need is....
*cut a hole for my vent and install
*hook up ventilation ducting
*Connect timer, light and fan
*Transplant Time!
Heres some of what will go, Remember there will be purple urkle and silver haze as well. Check out the blueberry, jedi, and white widow going in her too
Make sure to check out my grow box flower thread when ready I'm guessing it'll be up by sunday, PEACE!!!
caligreen nice setup man. The more and more that i look at it, it makes sense to use one for a seed starter and veg box ya know to save some space and separate the rooms. Thanx for the inspiration and good luck with your girls that u do put inside of it.
Hey ultimate and pursie how you guys doin? Thanks for chcking out my design process make sure to check the real box thread I got goin now!
Ultimatewarrior- That veg box you see is ILOVEHERB's veg box, he has like a basement where he grows for flowering I guess and it rocks! I am not that lucky, the box you see being built on this thread IS my flower box! It's ****ing sweet! I use a TV stand/closet thing that I built a stealth veg cab into and I love it. It's run with two heavy duty computer fans and another fan inside the box. I have flouro's in there right now each having 8,000 lumens so I think it's constantly around 8,000 lumens all the time. It does the job but I want to at least upgrade to T-5's becasue I have seen what they do and the are smaller so it's great for my veg area. Check out my stealth Veg cab

Pursie-****, the temps honestly aren't that great! The first day I had it running I swore it was 83 all day, and I can live with that....But now it's sayin it like 87 all day in there and that isn't pleasing...Not sure what I'm going to do, cuz I have a 6 inch inline fan in it and that should be ALL it needs, overkill if you ask me. I still have some holes I have to cover up, maybe it'll make the suction that much better although it's bomb already. Anyone got any ideas?
yea pursie it is cool. The room the box is in, is on a canyon, directly. Also the room has two windows that open in the direction the breeze is flowing in the canyon, it's actually the best airflow you could get in that room haha. I've been checking temps. daily and I think it's holding ok, it stays around 80 degrees when it's really hot I think it's hottest temp is like 86 so I might be ok....But it does get cold at night too... I don't keep the fan running at night now though will this be a problem? No air flow at night really....I know were talking mildew problems right? But I only have a few girls, not a shitload of bud so I'm hoping it won't make that much of a difference. Thanks for the help pursie PEACE
Hiya cali
If youre not in bud then fans off at night is ok.
I turned the fan in my room off during the night late in one of my crops , Got hit my mould and lost a few decent buds (which about now i couldve done with). But veg is ok. At night you could use a timer to turn it on and off in certain periods.
Hope it goes well. Mines nearly finnished, came in at 700Dx1000Wx2000H(mm)
whatup cali, nice stealth veg box, very sneaky. About your heat issue, what are your temps in the room the box is in, lowering those temps a couple degrees could bring your temps down inside the box. I think that is plenty of fans for that size box, I use a single 65 cfm computer fan from radio shack to cool my 150w hps veg box. I can't tell how your ventilation is set up so I can't really give any suggestions in that regard. Basically you want your exhaust to be as high or outside of the box, as far away from the intake as possible. You also want your ballasts to be outside the box, but your using flouros so **** that shit. Your just using this cab for clones and such correct? If you want to make it a full out veg box add a little MH light in there. I use a low wattage MH light for my clone/veg box and my temps are straight. A little heat will just make them stretch a little more than usual. Just keep it under 90 and you'll be fine.
What up killa thanks for stopping in, gotta let you know I've got two Sour D IBL sprouted about an inch outta the cup and the leaves are the smallest leaves I think I've ever seen! haha.
As for the veg box, The heat is fine bros, I have 3 fans in that little stealth veg cab! Two high powered computer fans, metal not plastic, I even have them on a speed control so it's nice! One fan is intake one sucks out and one pushes the air across my cab, pretty dank for a little veg cab. I will put T-5's in there later because those types of flouros are ****ing awesome to veg.
I can see where I confused you guys, I was asking how to control temps in my Flower box even tho I am still currently vegging at 15hrs of light on and 9 off I guess...I'ts making them want to flower but still veg. My flower box stay around 86 I'd say during the day, and at night I turn the fan off and its like high 60's. But I will need some small intake fans to blow around I think at night during budding, cuz I don't want mold, and my inline fan is too loud to have on during my sleeping time so thats a no....The box is in a room on a caynon, I mentioned this before, and it gets great breeze all day long, its probably a nice 70 degrees in the room at all times if that...Yesterday the box got to 95! But it was really hot out, the only plant that looks like it's stressin is the urkle from heat but it still is growing. I need to put them in flower, but the soil is still damp from the first watering! ****, so I'm waiting until they dry a little, and then I'll hit them with a shit load of flower nootes and also some grow big to get some nitrogen in the ground. Let me know what you think please, THANKS!!!
But what are the size of your intake holes and where are they placed.
The intake or passive intkae if you want,
should be larger than the fan hole so if you have a 6inch inline fan then the intake should be at least 8 inches, which should be at the bottom of the box.
I have a box that I built, 4ftx4ftx2ft. I have (2) 250w HPS for flower and (1) 400w MH for the once in a while that I veg in there. I have 2 High Pressure 4in 115v 40cfm fans for exhaust, and (1) 4in intake hole. I can keep my temps within +/-10* room temp.
This is an old pick(Better mylar coverage now) of my box with the front off, there is a panel that covers half the left front, screwed on, and then the second panel hinges to the screwed one. I usually run 6 plants.
Hydrofome420-For sure thanks bro, you know what though, I have a 6 inch inline fan, that has a 4 inch hole it's sucking through the light...The air comes from an intake hole at the bottom, it's about a foot long and 4 inches high of a hole to intake from. BUT at night I need fans, do I need a constant new flow of air so I don't mold? OR can I just place a small oscillating fan in there at night to move the air around? That's my question dude!
Hazy-Thanks for stopping by bro! Of course you can take some, and the purple gurkle, hit that shit MAN!!!!
D rock-PROPS DUDE!!! Thanks man big time, you got something I can check out??? Maybe it's on your sig I'll check
icky420-That's the kind of box I would for sure want if I had two 250's dude. You have a nice setup, and I bet you maximize your yields. Good work, I'll stop by your thread right now. PEACE
Thanks everyone, Please take this talk over to my actual thread, IT HAS BEGUN!!!
