I thought I would stop by because I have not been here in a while, and honestly Planet Ganja has been down for like 2 + days...

Here are some of my Strawberry Cough pics & macros..

Right now the strains I have in the garden that I have tried already are AK-47 Cherry Pheno, & Strawberry Cough (Kyle Kushman's Cut)..

I let the Biggie Small & White Rhino I had go, the ER was a nice yielder, but it choked me to death, so I opted to let her go for some smoother more potent strains...

I have a G-13 X Burmese that will be cloned soon, and then sent to flowering..

Some clones I just had root up are TrainWreck (Arcata Cut), Mendo purple, and GDP, I look forward to trying these new ones out!!

The purplish Strawberry Cough was because she had temps get down to 55 F on a few occasions, she still yielded well, and tastes great!!

Thank you JJS, and thanks for stopping by my friend!!
Always nice to see ya!!

Berry Coughin', thank you and thanks for stopping by, I will try to stop by and update, or post a few pics on occasion..

Those buds were taken at 62 days I believe, I normally let the Cough go 60 to 65 days....

everything currently in my gallery is cough, don't know exactly from where, and that grow did it no justice (lotto heat problems) how does your KK stand out against DP what to look for?????

The root structure on those looks kinda like KK's cut, not that one can tell from just roots, but the pic on page 2 of your gallery looks similar to KK's Cough, although I am unsure because I have not ran DP's line, I heard DP's line was ok, but a few did not like it much..

This Cough is easy to root up, she is a profuse rooter, pretty easy to clone...
It can withstand colder temps if it has to, and so far it has not shown to mind 85 F or so, my garden never really gets over 85 F..

She does not require a lot of N during Vegg, but I supply enough so that she has plenty to last her at least half way or so through flowering...
She like the nutes a little heavier in flowering, but still is a moderate feeder..
Give her a lil nutes & a little love and she will reward you greatly, I have gotten 4 to 7 ounces from 4 to 5 and a half foot plants... (3 to 4 normally from a 4 foot lady) & I mean 4 feet at final flowering before harvest...

I have a smoke report on her at PG, I will have to bring it over here whenever PG is back up...

I do say she is a keeper!! :D

Yes, this is very easy to clone..... The sole survivor of my 90+ temp stretch... she still put out some nice buds going through all that.....

man that KK cutting is comething I have been after for a while, any clues as to how you came about it?

In any case KICK ASS, I bet that shit tastes real good witha 90+ day cure.

I found one pic of the Cough in Vegg about 7 or 8 months ago, for some reason I cannot find many vegg pics of her :(

I did find 2 older shots of 2 Cough clones that rooted up in my DIY bubble cloner...

Thanks again Berry_Coughin', I hope your buds end up just as pretty, as long as the end result gets you stoned then one is still pleased, nothing like growing your own smoke :D

The Cough does take a beating, temps, nute burns, and deficiencies, and yet still the end result is fairly pleasing, she really is a lady I'd recommend for newer to growing indoor growers, it has a high yield, great tasting smoke, and packs a pretty good punch, I give her a 7 out of 10 potency wise...

Kinderfeld, thanks for stopping by, and welcome to the thread!

The KK's cut is semi sacred, and was obtained by a good friend that passed through town last year...
It is a cut only strain, there are no seeds from her, unless they are DP's.. but that it not true Cough IMO...
Although I hear it is all right if ya get a pheno that does not hermie late in flowering...

I think I heard a few phenos from the DP hermie, don't quote me on that though, lol

She is great with a cure, but after a 60 + day cure she looses a great bit of the Strawberry aroma and flavor a bit, and then just smells sweet & floral..
Kinda like the Cherry pheno AK-47, just not as harsh..
She is still enjoyable smoke either way though!!

I love the Cough after a 30 to 60 day cure, it is still a bit flavorful then...

Just wanna make sure I clear up what I said about DP's Cough, I do not know a lot about it, so it may well be from similar genetics, I am not totally sure about DP's version, wanted to make sure nobody thinks that I mean the DP's version is fake...

passion, if its a cut only strain why doesnt someone just make seeds? cant you just use the rodilization(sp) method?

I am not great with breeding, I know the basics about it..

Are you suggesting light stressing them in hopes to get seeds?

I really know little about breeding, but have studied a little in the past on OG about it...

What exactly is that method vinivici?

I think I read that light stressing them would possibly give you seeds eventually if they hermie, but I also heard that they all could be females that could hermie in the future..
I am not sure what of this is true...

Is there a way to get an actual male from her without causing the genetics to take on a trait to hermie...

I know that some also say that they will not carry the hermie trait, I remember arguments about this at OG...

Here is that Strawberry Cough report I posted at PlanetGanja.

Breeder: Kyle Kushman (High Times Editor)

Lineage if known: N/A

Vendor: N/A

Type (sativa/indica ratio):60/40 or 70/30 I believe, unsure..

Females tested: subjects were clones only, as this is a clone only cut..
Variation: N.A

Indoor flower period: 55 to 60 days is recommended, but I accidentally let one go 73 days & it was still a great smoke!
I recommend 6o days if you want a lil more heady high, 65 to 70 if you want a little more body high to her..
But in diff conditions, with diff variables your results may vary...

Outdoor harvest time: N/A

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
==================================================

Stretch in Flowering: About 45 to 50 %, when she stretches she does it 360 degrees around, this lady can get quite bushy if in a 15 to 20 litter pail, but also does well in smaller pots, the smallest pot I have flowered the Cough in is a 10 inch pot, the lady was around 2.5 feet when finished, and yielded a little over 2 oz's ...

Plant Size: Vegged plants are vegged for 2 to 3 weeks from when the clones root, 4 if I want to get a good 2 foot or taller lady to go into flowering, I normally have my flowering ladies around 4 or so feet tall, some have been 5 feet before..

Plant Structure:
Bushy, a beast if in a big enough pot, she is good for light LST, and or bending and tying techniques...

Bud Structure: Very dense nuggets, even the popcorn bud areas get nice and thick, if you allow those bud sites to remain that is, some trim them off late in vegg, to early in flowering in hopes of getting more energy focused on the main cola areas...

<> Ease of Growing: 7

<> Ease of Cloning: 8

<> Yield (watts): N/A I do not keep scales so I never weigh anything.. She is a high yielder IMO..

<> Odor Level: 6

GROW Method: Soil is Experts Pro Gardeners Mix, along with some added Perlite, Worm Castings, Kelp Meal, Dolomite Lime.. occasionally a little blood and bonemeal is mixed into the soil, it is used a little the last two weeks in flowering when I cut nutes, of course till then it is only partially available, you have to love waiting for your nutes to break down and become chemical :D

I add in the organics so later on they become available, then I can cut nutes for a while, and just mix water without nutes to give them for a week or two..
Until those nutes become available in Vegg, I use a mixture of FoxFarms Grow Big (nute ratios vary, the Cough is a light to medium feeder depending on height in Vegg), an occasional 10 to 15 drops of humic acid every few waterings, blackstrap molasses is added every few waterings also, but it is more so used in flowering...
I also use a tbs. or 2 of Earth Juice Catalyst every few waterings in Vegg & Flowering...

More on flowering nutes, I mixed a cup of powdered kelp meal per each 2 cubic feet of soil mix (I go a little light since I feed through teas also)..
In the occasional teas I use 2 tbs's of PureBlend Pro for Soil, 1 tbs of blackstrap molasses, one tbs of liquid kelp meal, and 1 tbs of Liquid Bonemeal...
I like the liquid bonemeal because it is 0-12-0, a good dose of P for those mid flowering feeds..

Extra notes on Vegg, she is a light feeder at first, then becomes a light/medium feeder until flowering..
In flowering I go light nutes the first 2 weeks, then medium strength (every other, to every 3rd watering nutes are used in tea form) for about 3 weeks, lighten up on the nutes a little the next 2 weeks, then I cut nutes the last 2 weeks, 7 weeks seems pretty good for this one...

1. Visual Appeal: 7 The buds get a lil tiny bit purplish if the temps get below the 60's for extended periods of time.. Purplish or not the Cough buds are beautiful, when cutting them up to roll it is like cutting up hash, I always have to scrape the lil trich dust I get on the table into the blunt, (when I smoke blunts) there is always a good little bit of the trichs on the table when cutting up a few buds..

Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
7
Beautiful dense buds, almost a shame to smoke them they are so pretty :D

2. Visible Trichomes: 8, trichs galore!!!
Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.

3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for a more precise report. Leave these fields blank if you do not have a powerful magnifier.

Clear: 45%

Cloudy: 45%

Amber: 10%

Dark:0%

4. Mark with X the colors that are present in the buds or for a more detailed color analysis rate presence on a scale 1-9 light-dark.

Green: X - 6
Gold: X - 2
Blue:

White:
Red:
Rust:
Orange: X - 3

5. Bud density: 8.5
Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense. For samples that are
not in their natural state leave this field blank.

6. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the aroma of freshly broken bud where a one indicates a subtle presence and 9 indicates a pronounced presence. Delete the existing space when marking a descriptor in order to maintain the columns in alignment.

comment: Smells nice and Strawberryish even after smoked, the smell in the room smells like skunky floral strawberries, after a good cure the aroma decreases & the bud tastes less strawberrish & more floral, it is still a great tasting smoke, I honestly sampled a bit uncured, and it still blew my mind!!

7. Aroma: 7
Rate the aroma from 1-10 repulsive-delightful. Use freshly crumbled
bud for best results.
A nice floral/strawberry aroma late in flowering, and when smoked before a long cure, after the long cure the strawberry flavor goes away a bit, it still tastes great though, the sweet floral taste takes over after a cure of a month or more..

8. Seed content: 0
Rate seed content from 0-10 none-fully seeded.

9. Just picked: / Weeks cured: 8 weeks cured.
If known enter the number of weeks your sample has been cured.
If desired repeat SSR after an additional two weeks of curing.
