I put in a active intake, to lower the room temp!

The active intake is doing it's job and the temps have droped a few degrees, that should be enought to keep root rot away and the clones have started showing new growth.




Finaly I got around to build this NFT setup, it's the early tests of a new Tube setup im designing for future use. Im still waiting on a rubber ring for the fittings, so this tube got the fittings glued on.

Right now the pump is running 24/7, with a coldmister supplying the root's with moist untill they are growing well into the mild nutrient solution.

I build it to test my Grapefruit Bowl clones, but when I got around to placeing the clones. Only pheno 3 had rooted well, pheno 2 had no roots and all of the pheno 1 clones died. So I guess I got to make new clones and give em a better place to root this time, I did'nt use any bottom heat and they where the last bath of clones I made last time, so they got the worst spot under the clone lights.

But 3 clones of pheno3 went in the setup and I filled the rest of the spots with Afghani #1 clones, that way I will have a little different smoke around after I harvest this room.






Now im gonna make a bunch of new GFB clones, root em and put em in the big room when the room and clones are ready!

Thanx alot my friend, good to see you again. It's been so fucked up I would'nt know where to start and where to finish. 2007 have just been loads of bad karma hitting me and I don't really understand it, but it's life and u got eat the bitter pill's along with the sweet right!

But to start out I had a visit from some buklers, not knowing what they broke into and lucky me we stoped em before they found a grow. Never the less I cleaned up and that was good, as 10 min after I removed 67 full flowering plants from my domain the cops showed up. Since I had ppl shooting at my windows, most likely the burkler we beat up who came back. Dunno what's in that idiots mind, ofcause he get a ass wooping when he's busted in action, he's a burkler and he want revenge?

Lot's of family trouble, lady troubles, I just lost a friend who died in a car accedent at jamaica, last weekend someone tryed to steal my car so it's fucked up and at the garage and I need it friday as im going on vaca.

I could go on and on, with shit like my old partner ripped me off for 300 grams of weed and my stach boxes and now he's hideing in germany. I would stay ther if I was him, as im looking for him and he will have his in return when I find/get him.

Trying to get it all behind me tho, looking forward ad trying to make the best of the day!

Well wally it's part of life to have rugh times, I bet we all have our sour moments and sweet once too for that matter. I try to look at things and put em in perspective, then everything could be a whole lot worese.

I got clothe on my body, a place to live, a car (it's old and cost me alot but it's there) and my kids are healthy so I guess all in all I should'nt be complaining too much.

I think I will flip the Pine O into 12/12 at the end of this week, giveing them 2 weeks of veg in total and then it should be all right to flower em.

All right To day I got a whole new topic for my garden, I don't think I posted anything about it yet. I just talked with GN as far as I recall asking if it was okay to be talking mushroom growing here, he was cool with it and then I closed shop more or less and never got around it again untill today.

I alwasy have a problem with geting rid of my stalks after harvest, I used to grow alot of magic mushrooms years back. I never did much reseach as it was before I knew of the internet, I just met a dude at a party hooking me up with spores and a oral eksplanation on how to do and a napkin with a list of stuff I needed.

So my idea is to grow mushrooms on my stalks, so for this purpose I would need a wood loveing mushroom. What would be more perfect then P. azurenscens, it's the most potent mushroom around and it's a wood lover.

I was gifted a handfull of mycelia from a NON sterile P. azurenscens culture from a fellow mycologist I helped start up years ago, so that was really cool to get such gift in return. He spend 4 years working on "finding" this non sterile culture that will grow and fruit outdoors, now it's just a good question if it will work for me and my canna stalk media.

To inshure I did'nt kill my new culture I started up a few pot's with regula wood media for mother mycelia, so I would have the possibility to try different medias if the first don't work.

I started up other pot's with other wood medias, fresh beechwood works really great.




Now Im secured a steady supply of mycelia for inoculating differnt spawn medias, so I made a spawn media mixing Canna stalks with composted straw and cow shit. Inoculated it with a handfull of Ice cream sticks




Now we are ready to spawn the first canna stalk media, so I found this old clay pot I made many years ago in school, in 9th grade at art class or what it' called. Anyway I never used it as the clay glazing, went wrong and it slowly leaks water and therefor leave marks, but its perfect for this purpose.
I coverd the bottom with a mix of cow shit, straw compost and clay pepples.



Got my bag of chopped up stalks, I got to get a wood chipper for this as it was a pain to chop it by hand with a stalk scissor. Then I made a bed of stalks around 4-5 cm thik, spredding it out and pressin it with my hand.



Then I emptyed the spawn culture into the pot and spred it out, breaking it a bit apart to level it out.




The last stalks where used to cover the spawn culture with 5-7 cm of stalks, leaveing enough space for atleast a 2-3 cm layer of compost.



I coverd the stalks with the same compost mix as used before, moistured it and coverd it with a plastic bag to keep it moist.




Now it's gonna be interresting to follow the progress of the mycelia, its gonne be atleast a little slow at first as the stalks where dryed over a long periode. Next harvest I will try with fresh stalks, but I still think I will need a wood chippper if this works at all.

Today I switchd the Pine O's into 12/12 and gave em a new nutrient mix, im running low on nutrients and as im kinda broke I desigded to see what I can do with what I got.

So they got some H3PO4 to lower the pH, nutrients I added 2 parts 14-3-23 + micro and 1 part 0-6-5 ripen from GH. Hopefully I don't have to finich my plants with this, but it should be all right for the first weeks of the flower cycle.



Then I desided to flower 1 of eatch of the 3 GFB mothers, im gonna take a bunch of clones of em tomorrow or the day after. Then put em in next to the Pine O's i just switchd into 12/12.






I also took the waterings down, I started out with 15 min on and 45 min off. Now thye will have 15 min on and 2h 45min off. They look a bit overwatered, so less watering should be in place.

All right been a bit buissy lately, there have been a few issues with the garden too. I did'nt have nay pH and Ec meter, ending up damageing the Pine O's with to low pH.

Last week I got my pH meter calibrated and now it works again, got a cheap Ec meter from a friend and spend the past week getting the plants back on track. They are peaking up and everything is'nt lost, theres still hope for a desent harvest in another 50 days or so.




Gave em a fresh nutrient solution today, with a extra shot of Epsom salt.

worst grow ever, but a few of the planst are peaking up and packing lot's of trichomes on the little bud they are building.

There will be a little weed, hopefully enough to get my by to the next harvest. Deffently not enough to get new supplys and that kinda blows, I need new 400 Watt bulps and nutrients. Im gonna switch my verticl grow into 12/12 next week, takeing new clones for this room today I think and harvest the pine O's in 3 weeks or so.





I made a Big DWC tub this week and filled it with clones, just to find out 2 of the 3 pheno's where male????? I don't know what happend during the sexing of the clones, but I deffently fucked up
No flowering plants in there, so no damage done besides I now only have one female pheno of Grapefruit Bowl and a waste of cubes and time spend on makeing a whole bunch of male clones.

Removed the males and filled the spots with Afghani #1 clones, but they will need a little veg time to recover and grow back into healty plants.

Thye look like shit hehehhee small littke ****ers, undeveloped and some of them ain't packig any buds at all.

Truly the worst grow I ever done, maybe I have done worse as I remeber killing plants nd these aint totaly dead but really. If I was'nt broke and out of smoke, these plants should have been riped out of the system and started the grow up again with new clones.

So thats the plan now, I have clones rooting and as soon they have rooted I will harvest this sorry looking grow and start up again fresh.

The trichomes are not even started to ripen, I have not been able to find anything but clear and a little milky trichomes. Not ready to harvest at all!

I guess we can't be awsome and have the best succes all the time!

Hey again here is a small picture update on the basement room

The seedlings have'nt had it to easy and some of them have some pH and nutrient issues, but im takeing care of that and started akeing action when I moved em to this room.

On the pic's it should be viesable that they are growing more green, loosing the pale yellow shade and retriveing their green color.



The Master Kush have started growing and it's a prety fast growing indica id say, but let's see how it will play out in flower as I think it's fast growing. The papaya have'nt showed much change so far, the clones I got in reveg i the mother room is very slow too.





The Pine O clones look like they are doing fine, not much to say about em besides they look good and like they are starting to grow.

Here it's going all right, the small room looks all right.



The Seedlings are still looking yellow, most of them and some are looking fine. I used 2 different soil mixes for them and I guess the one was to hot or the pH just ****ed up easyer in the other. I thnk Im gonna transplant em if they don't peak up more, they are getting behind the two big once.



The Master kush in the back are growing fine, the single Grapefruit bowl on the right front looks a bit pale tho.

The papayas still looke like they are fighting some Reveg, the clones where taken from a papaya in early flower. But they are growing and thats what matters, then I'll see if I just need to take some clones from em when they have started to grow or if I can flower them when the rest fo the plants are ready for flowering.



The Pine O on the right in the Ebb n flood setup is setteling in, they look like they are about to start growing for real. Hopefully thye will turn out better then the last Pine O grow I did, well better then the last two Pine O grows.




In the Big room it over all looks good, the plants are growing well and soon they will start to show flowers, the first pre flowers have been there a few days now.



The afghani #1 is doing great, they are even growing a little faster then normaly id say. A slow start and then they kicked off and have catched up with the grapefruit bowl next to them, the GFB can still outgrow the afghanis as they don't streatch much and are a prety compact strain. I have no idea about how the GFB will do in flower, how much it streatches and fatten up ect ect.


The GFB on the other hand is looking a little sick, im guessing it's Mg lockout becuse of a too high K. They are fed the same as the Afghanis, they are in the same setup where the pH is between 5.8 and 6.2 and ec is now 1.6 taken up yesterday from 1.2 and I have been giveing them extra micro nutes the past one to two weeks.




In my vertical room I feed the afghani and GFB the same nutrient lvl's, they are doing fine and the only difference I could find is that I use two different Grow nutes. In the room where I have problems the K is higher, then the nutrient used in the big room.

What do you guy's think of this, am I on the right track or could it be something else happening to my plants. Someone mentioned over feeding, but I don't think so really. Id be happy on some input on this

No worrys mate im not letting that go, but the last two Pine O grow's I did have failed on me. First because I had to close shop and they where ripped from the setup, bagged in bags and stored in the dark for 3 days and replaced i a new setup. Got 0.5 gram per watt tho, the last was a total disaster after I messed em up with too low a pH.

Now im trying again and seeing if im just been followed by bad luck or what's going on, my mother plant look health and grow's well.
