My local buffet just closed down. Chinese food is not as popular as it was in the 80s and 90s.

Yea bobbles, I didn't want to rain on the thread but I feel the same way after talking to a friend in the restaurant industry several years ago.

Haven't been to a buffet since and won't ever go again. Still have fond memories though.

the chinese all you can eat buffets are a NO GO area for stoners, unless you have extra cash for a cab n someone to haul your overfed ass to the couch. besides that o, what a joy...

I went to a chinese buffet in Xinjiang once,place called kashgar,it was a 12 course meal,every single dish including the watermelon was fried in batter,yuk! If you ever find yourself in spain they are a big thing there,up and down the costas Woks are springing up,nice food,dirt cheap eat-all-you-can

Best Chinese food I ever had was at a place in Trujillo. It wasn't buffet, but the servings were massive. They also kept loading us up with rice wine.
