My new grow...Aurora Indica and Magic Bud

Welcome all...

I have 2 Aurora Indicas from Nervana, and 2 Magic Bud from Paradise Seeds sprouted at the moment. This is a personal stash microgrow, and during vegg im using 3 lights total. 2X 20W 6500K cfls, and one 32W spiral cfl. The total lumans is 4800, and total raw wattage is 72. During flower Im going to switch to 4X 20W 2700K cfls. Ive obtained a unusually large yeld last time in this cab, with very minimal light, and no mylar as well. Im going to vegg these strains only 2 weeks on 18/6, and then flower for 60 days on 11/13....

YG, here is my last grow.http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=24213&page=1&pp=15, I had a 50 dry gram yield of my jock horror last grow, with 80 watts combined cfls(2 2700k, and 1 6500k)..I hope to get more from these strains, which are mostly pure indica.. Im stoked mostly about the Magic Bud from Paradise Seeds,great genetics..Here is a low quality nugg off my last Jock Horror harvest....








Hehe, you can grow some good herb with Cfl's, we Cfl growers overcome the myths..hehe.more to come..peace

Hey Herb. Lookin' good. Glad to hear we've got another farmer toiling under CFLs. I have a vegbox with a similar setup to yours. It has (2) 20w and (1) 30w spiral. I agree with you. Those lights can do a lot of work if used properly. In my main flower box, I have (2) 125w red spectrum cfls.



Instead of painting the inside of my box white (and making a huge fookin' mess), I bought some white poster board at Wallys and stapled it to the walls.

Anyway, to get back to the Aurora Indica. I'm also growing a few of Nirvana's magic beans. I have 3 Blue Mystic at 24 days flower, 1 Shiva at 17 days flower. In my vegbox, I have a 4-week old Ice plant and a 4-week old Aurora Indica. I want to take a few clones from the AI before I flower her. I've heard many good things about this strain.

Here is a quick update, they are growing nice and healthy. Ive changed the lights a little ive got 2 20W 6500k cfls, and 2 20W 2700k cfls now in a /\ shape over the plants. The 2 bigger plants are my Aurora Indica, and it seems I have 2 phenos indeed.The A.I in the back has way fatter leavs, and a smaller compact stature also, and 2 smaller are the Magic Bud. I know I should put the mylar back up, but im just going to do this grow without it and see what happends..Ive started to give the A.I's some light nutes since they are large enough now..

Well..this is the growth after 2 weeks from sprouting..The 2 Aurora indicas are huge for 2 weeks from seed!! The 2 magic bud are growing alot slower, but its exactly what i needed because they are going to go outside soon.

AI is a pretty decent plant...i personally dont feel it compares to nirvanas White Rhino, but a hearty plant at that. One thing i've noticed with AI in my couple experiences with it is that it seems not stretch much..and seems to put on buds fairly slow..only to have them really explode in growth around the 4th week in. -Opt

Many thanks guys.. I think the White Rhino is a better Nervana strain also. My friend is growing it out, and its a Killer stone. Well im glad to hear that my A.I will stay short and squat, these cfls seem to be keeping the node spacing nice and tight for the most part. Im really trippin out about how slow these 2 Magic Bud(From Paradise Seeds) sprouts are growing compared to the 2 A.I.But oh well.lol

Im definatly going to put the mylar back in this cab, solid advice indeed. I think im going to also try and maximize the lighting as well. Acually I really need to get a nice HPS and a C13 cab and go all out!!!Lol. But this is what I have to work with until I get some more fundage, as im a broke ass college student...hehe

Ok, this grow has been changed slightly. Im going to maximize the lights, and ive created 2 compartments..






I think im going to make some changes tommorow to the cab.
