I agree. That strain is faster than anything I have ever seen!! Pretty interesting results may come from breeding her. I think HC is the holder of a very special strain there. This grow has been Rock Solid!!!
It is a strange little strain isn't it. Not a bad find from bag seed 8 years ago. I am very tempted to try colloidal silver or gibberellic acid to obtain feminized seeds but am not familiar with the methods. Mind you I am reading all the colloidal silver threads. It would be nice to have seeds in case of a catastrophe, disease or spider mites. I have managed to fend off a couple of spider mite attacks but only just.
For some protection I have given clones to friends in different locations. They are not crossing it so we can maintain the special characteristics. I have thought of breeding it but I would need a very special male, I don't know what though. My friends plants behave exactly the same way, short, fat leaves, very close node space and total indica couch lock. They grow with a variety of methods.
This shit is as good as done in 42 days but on this grow I will take it to 49 days, maybe more, just for a laugh.

I watered it before I put the clones in, shaked out the excess and haven't watered since. The tray is not sitting in water, it is in a plastic crate floating on water heated to 24C or 75F in another crate. My heat mat shit itself a while ago and this seemed like a good alternative to provide bottom heat to the clones. Cheaper too, it's just a standard small aquarium heater to warm the water. Mind you I have never used sphagnum moss for cloning before, just thought I would give it a go. This method has worked very well with coco/perlite and jiffy pellets or rapid rooters before.
I like trying new things even though the tried and trusted work.
barlas, they might all just drop dead, who knows, never be afraid to try something different, the world would be a boring place otherwise.
This gives me enthusiasm !! I was the same, slowly shorting the day the way nature does it,But a little quicker to hasten the plant to ripen quicker.just wanted to throw this in...
a friend of mine was telling me that in order to "hurry" on a strain for finishing, you might want to consider playing with the length of photoperiod during flowering, although naturally, yeild will be affected.... here's a quote

The grow area smells of heavy licorice, a beautiful smell over powers and pervades the nasal passages on entering. Every touch leaves a trace of this smell, the girls are at their prime.
No such thing as a fat little top cola on these girls. It covers top to bottom, even better in single cola style SOG.
A TRUE SOG PLANT, IDEAL
NO DISEASE, NO SPIDER MITES
I could easily cut these down right now. Trichomes are good to go, for my liking that is, all milky. But I'm going to amber them up a bit
Out of 53 clones I took, 4 are now dead. But roots from some are coming out of the bottom of the tray, so that appears to be working. I only want 36 healthy clones.
The timing of harvest to clone and new SOG run is going well.

By doing 18/6 and 12/12 for the light regime we are playing with the length of the photo period. Grow and flower. By doing it this way we control the plant. Nature takes a bit longer, a lot.

I was just wandering who else gets this sort of growth on their plants. This a flower forming on a fan leaf at the axial where the stem meets the leaf. I think it is called a flowerlet. If you do get it, what is the strain, sativa or indica. It is quite common on my indica dominant strain and develops on many fan leaves in late flowering. That's why I don't do a meticulous trim like some people.

PUT THE DOME ON IT FOR A LITTLE WHILE.

Yes, I figure this will be a long process, the re-veg process, cloning a leaf, WTF, you can't clone a leaf, maybe you can.
Some how I don't think this will work. But we'll give it a go.
