MY LITTLE SOG GOES 1000W

Thanks gtgio, what part of Canada are you from? Some years back I spent 3 months in BC skiing and cruising around. Sampled some fine BC bud...good times. Can't send the seeds I'm afraid....be careful mentioning that cos some moderators consider it a TOU violation.

I'm down near Toronto, the skiing here isn't quite as fine as in BC, but I'd like to think our bud rivals it :skiiing:

Your threads have inspired me to make my next grow a small 9-plant SoG, 400w. Hopefully it'll turn out as well as yours have

I love SOG grows, big or small, it seems to be a very efficient way to grow. Who needs veg time?...I don't. All you need is mother plants and a reliable cloning method.

Go Toronto...I'm sure your bud is just as good as anything grown in BC.

TIME FOR A SEED RUN

TIME FOR A SEED RUN

The males have dumped enough pollen now so it's time to put the High Country Indica feminised and 2 local sativas on to 12/12.

POLLEN COLLECTED FROM A CROSS OF HC INDICA AND A THAI SATIVA

MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR MY NEEDS

AN HC INDICA GIRL WAITING FOR THE POLLEN

AN HC INDICA CROSS, SEX UNKNOWN

So the HC Indica x Thai shall be crossed back on to 4 HC Indica feminised plants. Not only will it give me a new plant but plenty of seed for future experiments.

Hopefully the stable characterics will be passed down and we'll have a nice little hybrid to play with.

I'm still keeping a few HC Indica mums that will not be hit with the pollen. These will have to be isolated.

Cheers.

damn HC!!! look at all that sperm

Yes one Q, it is quite a lot. The male plants were quite virile. They have done their job and are now in the bin. Give it a couple of weeks and the pollen will be put to good use. I'm after 100's of seeds.

A SOG will have to wait. It's just too difficult controlling temps with the big light in the middle of summer. So now I'm just mucking around.

A new indica-sativa cross, back crossed to retain stability.

Then again it might just be crap...but I don't think so. I have sampled the sativa many times before...a typical rush...but now it is being mixed with indica couch lock...a very reliable, stable, fat leaf indica.

High Country Indica...I might call the new strain Mountain Mist.

6 DAYS INTO 12/12 OF THE SEED RUN

6 DAYS INTO 12/12 OF THE SEED RUN

6 days into 12/12 and I still can't determine the sex of the HC Indica x Thai cross. No pistils or balls evident yet.

HC INDICA X THAI...I'M PRETTY CONFIDENT IT'S A GIRL, GIVE IT A FEW MORE DAYS AND WE SHOULD KNOW

picture.php

2 HC INDICA GIRLS ON THE LEFT AND 2 HC INDICA X THAI ON THE RIGHT

picture.php

The 2 HC Indica x Thai are growing very vigorously and tall compared to the HC Indica girls. Looks like they have retained a lot of their sativa traits.

Hopefully the 2 crosses are girls. I know the indicas are girls...that's all they can be.

So give it a couple of weeks and we should be able start the pollen application on all plants, 6 in total. This should produce a plentiful amount of seed.

So what have we got here.

HC Indica x Thai male pollen. This will be crossed back on to 2 HC Indica x Thai(if they're female) and 4 HC Indica feminised plants. So the end result will be 2 different strains. What the differences will be I have no idea. The sativa does appear to be quite dominant.

By the time these seeds are produced it should be cool enough to crank up the big light

YEH...IT'S A GIRL!

YEH...IT'S A GIRL!

Just got home from work and checked the plants.

2 HC INDICA X THAI GIRLS...NICE LONG WHITE PISTILS

picture.php

So that will make it 6 girls to get the pollen.

I think I'm going to get a lot of seed if the pollen is OK.

Nice work being done by the way,

NEARLY TIME FOR THE POLLEN

NEARLY TIME FOR THE POLLEN

So, we are nearly 2 weeks into 12/12 and all plants are showing their female sex in the form of white pistils developing. They are starting to stretch, especially the HC Indica x Thai.

THE 2 LITTLE HC INDICA GIRLS ARE DWARFED BY THE 2 CROSSES

picture.php

Note the completely different leaf structures of the indica and the indica-sativa cross.

The indicas retain there normal short and stout structure, the sativa crosses are going big.

HC INDICA, VERY TIGHT INTERNODAL SPACING

THESE GIRLS ARE ALL GOING TO GET PREGNANT SOON

picture.php

Give it a week or so and pollen chucking will commence.

New strains will be born.

I have isolated a few HC Indica mums...they're staying virgins.

the cross looks beautiful mate :)

love the leaf structure

It's a very vigorous cross shroomy retaining a lot of sativa traits. It appears to be more dominant than the indica...but hopefully the stability of the indica will be passed on. The last thing I want is something that hermies.

I'm confident.

:good: Sweet mate :good:
Always love the look of your High Country Indica Genetics :canabis:
I think you'll end up with some amazing crosses my friend, Good Luck with your breeding, I've been doing quite a bit of pollen chucking myself (sick of paying for genetics to not have them arrive) so far this OD season with a Princess13 male I have got at the moment, he's been having sexy fun time with the gals :bigeye:

HC in my opinion id be back crossing the the cross back to your beautiful pure indica to try and give a better indica/sativa ratio... I have found the sativas are very dominant in my crosses i made last year.

Boom keen to see what this stud is going to produce mate :)

Yep...if you have DGS stock...keep them going.

Fuck my plants, they'll look after themselves.

I'm going up to the high country tomorrow...a little bit of flyfishing, rainbow and brown trout...maybe a deer...and pics of the high country posted on another oz thread.

That's what I'm doing - 6 plants

HC INDICA X THAI male X HC INDICA - 4 plants
HC INDICA X THAI male X HC INDICA X THAI female - 2 plants

I've never done this shit before...should be fun.

Still way to hot to run big lights in a SOG. Besides, I get enough in one SOG to last a long time. The 400W puts out enough heat, let alone starting up the 600W or 1000W.

The SOG can wait...time for a new strain.

Cheers.
