hey high country! how's that leaf clone going mate? any further developments?

It's actually looking like death is near. I'll put up a pic in the next couple of days, my weekend. Might try it with a fan leaf off a vegging mum and see what happens.

LEAF THING, CLONES AND SOG UPDATE

LEAF THING, CLONES AND SOG UPDATE

Well the leaf clone was potted up and is not doing particularly well. I will give it a week or so then decide on its fate.

LEAF CLONE LOOKING A LITTLE SICK

picture.php

In the mean time the normal clones are 3 weeks old and firing along. 62 out of 62 have roots. That's a 100% strike rate in the sphagnum moss. I am hand feeding them with veg nutes at 1.0 EC. I will use some of these for new mums. The ones I have now are looking a bit tired and old. The rest of the clones can go to friends.

100% STRIKE RATE, ALL HAVE ROOTS

PURPLE STEMS, A HEALTHY BUNCH OF GROWING CLONES

Back to the SOG. The girls are ticking along nicely and starting to develop the normal curled up leaves. This is not a nute or pH issue, the plants just do it all the time. It is a funny little trait of this indica.

SOG, NOTE THE CURLED UP LEAVES AND OCCASIONAL SINGLE LEAFS

Changed the res, kept the EC at 1.8 and pH at 5.8. Both levels are now a lot more stable. I think the stretch has just about finished.

No worries shroomy. Just a 3x3 ebb/flow tray sitting on old recycling tubs. 100 litre res underneath, 24V Waterwerks 1000 litre per hour pump, yes that is spelled correctly, 2 air stones, water heater set at 24C, 13 mm inlet hose, 19 mm outlet hose for the ebb/flow, Sylvania LU 1000 GRO HPS lamp.

THE MUMS AND NEW CLONES, UNDER 430W SON T AGRO

picture.php

There are at least 100 new potential clones off those mums, then I will retire them to go outdoors. The outdoor grow is currently postponed due to heavy snowfalls to low levels. I'll get some pics up tomorrow of this situation. All potential grow areas are basically white, buried in snow. Putting them out in -6.5C conditions is probably not a good idea!

G'day Darwin, we've had over 1/2 metre of snow in 24 hours. It will not disappear fast. I don't care, the skiing is great, the plants can wait. Hope your harvest of those plants of yours is successful this weekend.

ah that's no good mate, oh well skiing sounds good until you're able to get them outside :D wish i lived closer to the mountains! trade off i guess is living a 200m from the beach though it's useless at this time of year without a dry suit down here haha. cheers mate, i'm expecting 2 pounds from that micro grow beauty! hope she doesn't disappoint me hahaha :D

ps. the leaf clone might still be good if those calyxes on it stay healthy, they're green and obviously full of chlorophyll to be so coloured and will keep photosynthesis going even if the leaf does. :D hope it takes would be awesome to see

I've thought about CO2 and that's as far as it got, I'm not commercial, I don't need mega growth rates, this is enough for me.

good answer mate :gday:

I'm considering cO2 for me and missus, we are not commercial in the slightest but god dam can she smoke... I dont smoke these days as it causes me more paranoia than it is worth to be %100 honest.. I in if for the love of the plant and relaxation is gives me raising something from its veg to its flowering... and that is afeeling no medication could ever give me :dance013:

I'm considering CO2 for my missus too, but she looks at me with those big brown eyes and I just can't bring myself to do it.

haha

Anyway thanks for the honesty mate.:tiphat:

I have a smoke and it reminds me of the beauty of life, but what's important is that life always remains beautiful, and you don't need to smoke to get in touch with that. And sometimes having a smoke can make you forget that - it's about finding your own balance.

But I'm fucked if I can talk to my missus when she has a smoke, so I have to have one to keep the communication alive....that's my excuse:)

CO2 and O2 are free, it's in the air we and the plants breath. I don't think supplements are needed, but some people may disagree with this.

OUTDOOR OPS PUT ON HOLD

OUTDOOR OPS PUT ON HOLD

Well my cunning plan to put a few plants outside are kind of on hold for a little while.

THE HIGH COUNTRY IS WHITE AGAIN

picture.php

Nearly 2 metres or more of snow kind of makes it difficult. Never mind the melt begins next week, Spring.

Water will be abundant this summer in the high country.

I'll just have to wait, like cloning, patience is required.
