Thanks grouchy.

I'm kind of in a dilemma.. if I'm building a veg/flower box.. should I still do veg/flower in my PC case? or just veg then put them in the flower box.. ?

One idea would be to veg two plants in pc, two in veg chamber... then put four plants in the flower box. Would four plants fit in a 13"x13" space comfortably?

Another is doing seedlings in my case, then move them to the veg chamber, then to flower..

Lots of combinations.. anyone else have any ideas?

Two separate scrog flower rooms. Take clones from your new pc mother/clone box and stick into one of the two flowering room. Run 18/6 till room is getting full then flip to 12/12. Repeat for other side. Run your 12/12 opposite of each other so that they don't heat each other up and you always have plants to play with(I hate waiting for my lights to turn on). Stagger the harvest to keep constant supply.

See, I didn't think about that because when I think flowering... I'm thinking 12/12. So I can get growth with a red spectrum 18/6... ? I just keep picturing them not getting any larger once they leave veg (as I've never done this before).. I like your idea. Better utilization of the space.. what do you think about a 70w hps for each?

I veg with a 70w hps just fine. It would work for filling a screen very well. You can even curve your screen up on the sides to get a larger screen in there too(Make it like a half-pipe).

You'd be fine if you did that since you'd be surrounding your girls with light penetration shouldn't be a issue. I fixed my problem of lower buds being fluffy when I covered the walls and ceiling with mylar...

no real need for a vscrog in a 70 hps, could just put the cool tube vertical and grow like 8 plants around it, 70w only has a distance of like 6 inchs of good light, my 70w is 2 inchs in dia i think i'd want a 4 inch cool tube, which would leave you with around 4.5 inch of space around the tube

Do you think there's room for 8 plants around it.. in a 13/13 space?

If the 70 watt HPS were in a 4" cooltube like mrred suggested then you could fit 8 4" sqaure pots in there just perfectly. The light would need to be positioned pretty well in the direct middle of that 13" x 13" square so you'd have 1 row of 3 pots on the left and right of the tube and one plant behind and in front of the tube. Basically it'd be like having 3 x 3 grid of pots but the pot in the very middle of that grid isn't actually a pot it's your vertical light. The small pot size will also help to keep the plant's height under control.

Sounds great. How should the cooltube be positioned.. with the bulb screwing in upside down, with the cooltube flat on the floor.. (with a round vent on the floor to bring in air).. and flexible ducting going from the bulb socket back up to the top back, where it exits through a powerful 120mm fan.. that's what I'm thinking anyway.

This is what I'm picturing.. the light traps/vents are PVC elbows.. both going out the back, connecting into one.. then to a 120mm fan.. (or possibly something stronger if the carbon scrubber is going to be attached).

Passive vents from the bottom, flowing through the cooltubes..

Passive vents on the floor

Room around the HPS's for plants, 3 on each side of the tube, one in the back, and one in front..

Hmmmmmmm

Now I just need to think about how I'm going to veg this many plants... or how to get the rotation started.. I don't know how many I could do in my PC case..

Now that is looking good!

I would move the passive intakes for the room up onto the walls so you don't lose floorspace.

My case uses a 120mm fan cooling a 70w in a cooltube and I put the plants right on the tube without them burning.

Could you build some kind of fake rock cover around your ballasts and use them as heat rocks for the lizard?

If you put one plant in to each side of the cab each week you should be able to supply your needs for fresh cuts with the pc case. One in, one out each week and eventually it will fill up and start pumping out the weight.

Tell your girlfriend I am sorry we took over her cab but she can still water them if she wants.

looks like you need to provide 16 cuttings over a 2 month period, you good at cloneing? doesnt seem like alot to me or 16 seeds, theres some good seeds on seedboo for like 20$ , get 10 seeds plus 5 freebies, 12/12 from seed then you only need the 1 clone for a while till the seeds show sex, then reveg the best of the bunch

- I moved the intakes from the floor, to the back walls. (thanks grouchy)

- Also, I was Home Depot tonight and was looking at different PVC fittings and what not, and if I wanted to hook both exhaust vents to one fan, it is going to be a massive pvc monster.. I put the fittings together there at the store, and it was going to stick out a lot further than I want it to.. I figured it'd be easier to just run two fans. Noise isn't a big concern.

- Also, I came up with a way to mount the fans to a circular fitting.. I'll post some pics later

Haha.. its a possibility. How much space are my ballast going to take up? I was thinking about mounting them to the back of the cab.. down low where they can't be seen. I have the room since the cab is caddy cornered.

Haha she told me that my job is putting the cab all together.. and she was going to tend to the mj.

I have no experience cloning.. I'm a noob! This may sound completely stupid but I heard something about how you can't clone feminized plants.. Goes to show I don't know jackshit about clones, or revegging.. etc. Any helpful links?

I've decided to lower the exhaust fans down to about half way down the cab... and run a 90 degree pvc out the back.. pointing to the floor... so all that will be visible will be the fans on the inside.. more grow room. :D

Sweet man! I've actually read that thread before.. It's bookmarked now.. When I have plants to clone I'll definitely try it.. thanks bro.

You want the hole/duct/fan/exact location where air is leaving your grow space, to be as high as possible. You could have your exhaust hole halfway down the cab, but if it has a pipe/duct leading up, inside the cab, to nearly the roof, then you achieve a similar effect, although you are then fighting heat trying to push it down. Heat rises and exhaust at top is the first rule in the book.

I don't know how tight it will be with these square pots, but you may want to raise your intakes to just above the top of the pots level.

I really like how you photoshop your ideas bro, makes sense! Keep it up
