My Double Purple Doja Grow

As some of you may have noticed I've been DESPERATE to add some color to my mix, but the last try failed. 100% Germ Failure , although the Golden Skush and Magical Mystery Mix took off like champs. 9 out of 10 G.S. popped, 1 mutated and died later and 10 out of 10 MMM popped and took off!



The ones I paid for on the other hand popped and died in the same environment... 24 hour soak, paper towel method, 80 degrees temps. All DIED. Now given I am a dumbass and tried to germ them all at the same time, BIG MISTAKE. I have popped literally hundreds this way and never had such a magnificent failure. I will NEVER do that again

I have even made and grown some Lifesaver F2's, Lifesaver x Affi and Lifesaver x Jack seeds. (in the picture on the right) Never had this kind of problem before and hopefully never again.

SOOOO I went ahead and ordered Double Purple Doja from SubCool at Dr Chronics site (no offense Gypsy, I love you in a platonic way!) and got them today!!!

So I am going to track their progress in this forum and post pictures as they grow.

The first update should be in a couple days...

man i will be watching this one, been waiting for some one to do a report on this strain....i would loved to have had some of sub's black russian but at lass he will not be producing any more, what a shame.......i do how ever have some black cherry and the candy mix which i think will be a very interresting grow in its self.....

FINALLY got the seeds in my hands! I dropped 3 of 10 in water for soak late last night. Will do a few at a time, so as to keep them alive. Updates as they progress.

Good luck with the DPJ. I've also been waiting for a grow report on this. He says it's supposed to be better than Black Russian, but of course he would say that. We'll see...

3 popped and are now in 32 ounce cups!!! YEEAHHH!!! (pics tomorrow) 4 more soaked, only 2 popped so far they will be planted tomorrow morning. The last 3 right behind those have popped and will be planted tomorrow evening.

I've got 5 DPD going, 1 confirmed femlae so far. 4 weeks from seed, Happy Frog soil, topped above 4th node. Under dual 400w, 1 HPS 1 MH on a 4ft hydrofarm track.






Lets hope for lots of FEMALES.

Well the update is late, but here's the scoop. 2 never popped open.



8 popped and germinated, but one never grew more than the first set of leaves (upper left hand corner).



I use the paper towel method with a 24 hour soak. I did 3, then 4, then 3 and potted them all within a day of eachother. So 7 good plants so far. One is slightly stressed, but I think she will make it.

They have purple tints in the leaves and stems, so I am pretty excited!

More to come as they progress...

Sack: I have seen some pics over on the 420 site, but I believe most are of Black Russian... AND it looks like I'm not the only one who had germination problems with these babies...

Pod: The MMM and GS are just about to the size where I can take clones. I just had to cull 2 of the MMM as they were male and I don't intend to breed them. So in another month or two I will post flower pix.

My own LifeSaver x Jack and LifeSaver x Affi have been cloned and will go into flower in another week. Some of them are very good looking, smelling, purple stems etc... I am pleased so far, but I won't know until they are flowering. My EZ-Cloner is full of them!

I had 9 of 10 to germinate. One was eaten by a snail. I have 6 girls from the remaining 8. They have been in flower for 37 days, but no sign of purple on any of them. I will post pics if it is alright with Strainwhore.

Jeez. I havent updated this thread in a long time, because honestly,,, I've never had a strain take this long to veg.

Toofat, by all means, please post pics as the ones I will be posting are kinda sad.

Flying, sorry for the delay - will post a pic of what I have tomorrow.

I did just get an order of Mental Floss and 10 Nirvana strains along with more Golden Skush (SWEET!), so I will probably be posting more on them later. 5 of the Mental Floss popped in water overnight and are looking good!

I, too had some problems with the DPD...some cracked upon arrival and many others didn't germ, but subby said he would make it all right and send a pack of Sputnik 2.0 as replcements, so I don't feel so bad.
