Basically finished now all that need doing is laying the pond lining and installing the inline fans and lights i think 3x400hps will go nicely.

What i have done is before lining the walls with the white lining i had to make shore it was light proof i used cloth tape and glue to seal all the the gaps. just went up there at night to see were the light was came throw.

Craven_Au,

you wanted some info about heating during the cool months....i think the simplest, cheapest and non-permanent method would be....

an electric, plug-in space heater. i personally prefer the portable, oil-filled, radiator style because it gives off a more gentler, controllable heat. The other option is the "strip " space heater, which is just like turning on an over or toaster.

i have also gone to the degree of placing the space heater on a simple timer, so the amibent temps stays constant and does not heat up too much. "on 15 mins every hour during night time to combat dropping exterior temps....

i also have my homes duct work connected into my grow room.....so if its just really fuckin cold for a long stretch...well, then the overall system for the home helps maintain the grow too......

cool ?? any other suggestions out there ??? i'm open..........

I use an electric space heater that's timed to operate during "off" hours only. It has a thermostat which I set to come on at 65 degrees or so. The usual temp moderated exhaust fan is in place. Keeping a relatively consistent temp is less of an issue that humidity. During dark hours, you will get tremendous condensation if your walls etc are cold. I heat (with the space heater) and cool (with exhaust fan) similtaneously. It takes some titrating but if you do it right it will enter a gentle heat/cool cycle that maintains a fairly narrow temp range and keeps moisture at bay. peace.

Looking good Craven. I wish I had the space for that type of set-up. I myself just built a 4x4x7 lab & that was a big space upgrade. I think I'll hang around on this one. Good work.

Pond lining down. Cut up the lining down stair first not hard just get your measurements right before cutting.

also where are you going to trim and dry your dank..because that is what stanks!

Good question i guess it would have to be my closet that I'm using for my Snow white.

I may not go with the autopot system I'm thinking of aero or a drip to no waste system in rockwool. haven't quite made up my mind yet i have ruled out DWC to high maintains and flood and drain and nft.

Craven-Au.....as per your system choice:

i know why you are ruling out F & D and NFT....but you mention DWC. Due to possible floods, you're correct with a RDWC, but as you know, my room design is smaller, but very similar.

I run singled out 3.5 gal and/or 5 gal buckets with airstones, hydroton and ntepots. The thing is, each and every girls is in a self-contained unit. Kinda like many "cabinet" grow's.

The only errors that could occur are really just laziness and "stoner error".......clogged or crappy air stones.....air pump shut off......got too buzzed out and knocked over a bucket of nasty nute water.....

i would love to change my set up over, but like you infer.....our location makes it hazardous and damaging !!

whatcha think ??

Unless you are in tasmania i bet this is a winter grow option mostly. too hot in a roof in summer.

think about where you are venting your air in winter so it doesn't become obvious outside somehow :)
