This year, i got some SSSDH regs looking for what i remmembered as "haze".
16 seeds on water on january 25. On february 8, i put 12 SSSDH under 90W led a 16/8. One week after 14/12, the week followin 12/12 under 175hps. As of April 15 the most promising females were left reducing 1/2 hour of light every 10 days.
That's how they were this afternun...

These three girls reenvío of haze i remembered.
#3 is more compact, with larger flowers, not diesel, sour and sherber smell ( something like fresh onnions and sweat) whit some citrus.
#8 is the most thin and airy. It smells like cat's sandbox
#11 very similar to #8 but more compact with more floral even almost sweet, althought it maintains that amonia background.

Awesome thread dude! I'm on page 6 of it just cruising through. Some one else posted about being lucky to get some free SSSDH IX seeds with an order. That ain't luck! IT'S HITTING THE FUCKING LOTTERY!!! I got 3 of them free with an order too. I sprouted all of them. 2 were males, I collected and froze the pollen. The female I made clones of, which unfortunately died while I was in a severe medical state; however, the original female did grow to harvest with other plants I was growing and I'm completely smitten! I've never had these feelings towards a plant other than C99 which I've grown since I was about 21.
So the female SSSDH IX that grew to fruition was seeded by one of three male plants I had out and collecting pollen from. The seeds I got are SSSDH IX (f) x [CAT supersonic, or CAT venomdog, or SSSDH IX males]. I sprouted several seeds and have them growing right now outside and I'll tell you what, this bitch has totally domineering genes unless she was pollinated by one of the SSSDH IX males because all of my crosses that are growing look and smell just like the female I had grown in 2016.
I can't rave enough about this plant. Like some other posters have said in this thread or others (I've been on a binge hunting for pics and grow info on it), I take 2 hits off my vaporizer with a TINY bowl and I'm gone for the day. That's how my c99 plants always were. I love it! The smell is freaking intoxicating. I'll have to start my own grow journal and link it for you. I have 4 of these SSSDH IX crosses growing now and one is chin high. 3 were put into flowering 2 weeks ago and are still stretching, the other one was put into flower last month and she's stacking it on. They seem to LOVE fish emulsion. In fact all of my plants do and it's the first I've ever used it. If you haven't tried it I can't recommend it enough. They look insanely healthy from it.
Man I could rant and rave about this plant. It IS an elite plant! It deserves it's own thread! I'll be going the whole way through this thread for more info but do can you relate any more info about the genetics, OJD, what seed company is OJD tied in with now? What other strains has OJD made since others on here have said OJD makes some killer plants? Thanks for starting this thread. Honest to god I don't know why I'm not finding more hits on SSSDH other than the fact that it's a sativa and not a cash crop. This plant is easily in my top 3 for plants I've ever tried and grown. C99 is still top for now due to familiarity, but this SSSDH IX is sick and I could see it displacing the C99 as long as I can get some good grows in and have this stuff around for leisure smoke.
I'll be having dreams about stuffing my face in her buds and sniffing away tonight. <---SSSDH fiend! Hah!

Just curious about something here, sorry super newbie here. I see people saying they crack the stems and tie them down in flower if they get too tall... Do people mean physically break the stem actually during flower?!? Will this allow that branch / cola to continue to grow? Can this be done all throughout flower, like even past week 4 or 5? For some reason I thought you were really supposed to leave them alone after they began flowering.
I bought the last 2 packs of CG SSSDH a couple months ago from Mid Week Song, and would like to see all the plants, smoke reports, and descriptions possible.
I like the fact they have been described to stretch to no end during flowering. Big plus for me because we grow trees, in pretty big containers. The more they stretch, the less you have to veg them. We give 60-70 day veg, under 1000w Hortilux HPS.... Been growing an F2 Super Silver Haze for 8 years now, and went through 250 females to find this one, and have yet to find anything to beat in yield. 24oz per plant in a 20 gallon container Promix BX, and 1000w Hortilux per plant. Bent over, and trained. No pinching, or topping. Really good, long lasting Sativa high.
Would also like to use the SSSDH males for breeding.

Little late here. I pinch the stem until it gives and then bend it till it is going level to the ground. Sometimes I fail to pinch enough and have broken stems. Most heal well and I tape them up. A few have not.
I do it all thru flower as I have to maintain distance from the lights and can have the plant too tall or the weak lights I use will not penetrate to the lower buds.
I tried to germinate one and it failed so have one left to try.

Bending them over via LST, tie downs etc yields good results with this strain too. Early and mid flower cycle all seem to be fine times to tie her down, but early planning yields better results. The internodal stretch is pretty evident in bobbo's pics, and has rung true for the specimens i was blessed to grow of her.
Less Bush plant, more like collection of bud tipped spears. She gets larfy down low, i used to just trim that shit away. Love her. Mine wasnt a huge yeilder.

That interesting you say that. I'm currently growing a SSSDH crossed with a GROM/Digiberry male called Snowman. Your description leads me to believe that the plant I'm growing is a SSSDH leaner.
I topped her once, but she put more effort into one main cola, and threw out a ton of lower lateral branches (other than splitting off into two colas).
She's the one in the front row all the way back.

I've never grown OJD's cut but have smoked the flowers. She's pretty classic and very dank.
