Good luck with the seed germing mate, we had snow last night here so it's holding up my preparations in my plot but the plants are doing fine indoors, I've been pinching off every growth tip to make em bushy cos they are getting quite big now, I think I started my seeds a bit too early this year! As soon as I get these ones outside and have room I'll start some more. The rest of the strains I am going to start are all Danish genetics from esbe and others, I like the idea of growing some varieties that are well proven at 54-55N.
WAMEN, British Hempire, thanks bros. Yeah, I cross my fingers for a good start.
BH, we have nightfrost here. Frost can come here anytime in start/middle april.
Depending on the weatherforecast, my transpotting to my backyard could be as late as mid may. But thats ok. They´ll get a good start in my greenhouse - and indoor if it´s too cold.
Without having any knowledge about light, I grew my first closet (18W) girls when I was in my start twenties. A few small girls, but potensy was satisfying I remember. Strain absolutely unknown. I have pics, just have to find them.
Second grow under artificial light was early 2006. I vegged plants under 36W. Topped the plants, made clones and ended up harvesting a few of them in my backyard. That was great fun and I learned a few things.
So this year is my third attempt. I started 5 of my own beans from seed. They have vegged indoor under 36W for 3 weeks.
Now they have been under 12/12 for 2 weeks. Mostly under 36W, but when the sun is here, I bring them to my greenhouse. They´re all repotted now, and are gonna live in the greenhouse from 7 am to 7 pm. Rest of the time in a dark closet indoor.
Your plants look great Paddi. I've started off my plants for this year as well, but they aren't as big as yours. I have one female right now and the rest are unknown. Best of luck with your grow and i'll be checking in for updates.
Alllright paddi! I was wondering when you were gonna start germinating some more babies, you gotta get a lot ready huh??? Do you take clones off of any special girls?? PEACE
- 300 litres "Champost". It´s compost from making mushrooms mixed with horsemanure.
- 50 kg lime
- 10 kg Nitrophoska (NPK 12-5-14)
The Champost is for generel soil maintenance.
Lime. I need a higher pH so I´ve spread about 200 g/m2 today.
The Nitrophoska is a good basic fertilizer. I´ll start with about 100 g/m2. Mabye supply with 50 g/m2 in a few months. I will buy some goodies for flowering, f.ex PK 14-15.
Today I spread soil from last years pot-grows and lime:
Hi Browser....Sticks, I got lots of sticks waiting
Fems? I took a close look today. I only saw girls!
Let me tell you a little more about my semioutdoorgrow.
Back in 06 I made a little controlled breeding, and I ended up with a few seeds - Royal Dane x Heaven/ErdPurT (father was a cross from Esben).
In 07 I had one girl from my seeds. She started flowering early juli, turned purple and I started harvesting middle september. Ended a week later.
Obviously I want to play with my cross this season.
5 plants were born in start March. They started their life under 2 x 18 W 16/24. When the sun was shining, they went to my window.
After 3 weeks vegging I decided to put them to flower. 36 hours of dark and then 12/12. I repotted and stopped indoorlight.
Now they live in my greenhouse from 7 am to 7 pm. When the sun becomes more powerful they´ll lick sun outside the greenhouse whole day long. They sleep in a dark closet inside the house.
I guess I have stressed them a lot. Poor light conditions and very low temps sometimes. And It´s difficult to wake them up 7 am in weekends....we take a few hours extra sleep...hehe
No males have shown up yet - all looks like females. That would be a pity. I would love to make a little breeding.
It looks like I have 2 phenoes. A green and a purple.
Well, here´s a few pics. 3 of them girls. Two purple phenoes and one green:
Green:
One more purple:
I think they look nice after 3 weeks flowering.
Guess this is the way to make a small lowbudget early harvest.
