I'm sorry to see & hear about the Royal Dane trying to "coup" your garden
And what happened with the other plants turning 90°, very odd. I've never seen anything like that resulting from a bit more of sun
Nevertheless, remember that we're talking about a very sturdy herb, and I'm sure they'll pick up after this lil incident. I normally don't use sticks to help them, but let them find their own way. I'll only intervene if the stem is folded in such a way that the plants can't send nutrients from one side to the other.
40 strains! ... That's x4 times more that most c-shops in the Netherlands have in their menu, I bet that garden will smell SO nice once they get flowering I would even be concerned about your dogs getting "hash dreads" if they walk inside your canna jungle then, hehe
