my auto flower disappointment

so recently i ordered one ten pack of russian rocket fuel and anouther ten of the Mi5. first i started the rrf only 4 sprouted at all. 1 runt and 3 fems. the 3 look amazing. more than likely very good smoke when done. and for the Mi5 all but 1 are male i hope the only female does ok. i spent the last of my money on these seeds hopeing to do a seed run with them so that i have a supply to last a little while but it doesn't seem that it is going to work out how i hoped

i got a 10 pack of lowryder #2, none of mine sprouted, the 5 i gave to a caregiver all sprouted though =\ ?!?, needless to say i was disappointed quite a bit too

fortunately the seed run worked for the caregiver, so i'm going to give it another go after she gives me some of the seeds hehe, hopefully i get at least 1, i really liked that lowryder #2 taste and effect

with all those males i dont see the problem with a seed run! cross the Mi5 males with 1 of the rrf and the other Mi5 female!

how is it a dissapointment and the breeder/seed sellers fault for your FEMALE / MALE Ratios?? More like bad luck, it is the chance you take when buying 10 packs. The new standard should be 12 -15 seed packs at least so you get what you actually pay for, prices for 10 packs of seeds are rediculious and out of control. Hopefully someone does something soon.

I've wondered how it is that you are not sent the number that they know will provide you with 8-9 Females.
The old idea of a backers dozen.
They prey on the uninformed. 60 bucks for seeds, none germ, not going to buy from them again, not a prob, there is a new victim to take your place.

I just ordered from AM S'eed autos dwarf ganja, i still have not rcvd them.
And now have lil hope that they will do as promised.

What method did you use to germ them? I had 5 Mi5 seeds last year, planted directly into 4" square pots. 3 germed, all girls. Also had 10 Hindu Kush, 9 germed, 8 males. In general had a poor germ percentage and many more males than girls. This year I'm using Rapid Rooters and germ rate is much higher. Male to female ratio is a matter of luck but there are things you can do to improve your germ rate. Of course, you can always buy fem seeds.

My RRF's got stunted but they all sprouted and my short mix autos had 6 females out of 10 but I burned a few....my snowryders had some type of nuteburn or something to that effect and some of the stunted autos, due to overwatering stayed small and are noy like a stem with small buds attached. I did a seed run but none of the seeds opened. I cut a few of the shells off and a couple seem to be frowing but only time will tell. They are snowryder and RRF and Sowryder x Short mix...

sorry if it sounds a dumb question, but are you 100% sure there males yet? when I grew my first Mi5's I thought I had 9 males & 1 girl, but a few days later it turned out I had 9 girls and 1 male. I got loads of them on the grow at the moment and they all did/are doing the same thing, looking like male pre flowers, then popping a hair out. I think that the pre flowers are very small to start with and can look like a male flower is growing out.

there is a big diffrence in age with the rrf and the Mi5 so a seed run between the 2 is unlikely

u could always collect some male pollin and then pollinate ur girls with a small paint brush if ur looking to do a seed run. pretty easy to collect pollin aswell. put something under the males like a bag or paper plate or whatever u have handy and then let him bust his nuts all over then dry it for a couple days then store in frig in a pill container or something, then when girls are flowering paint some of the pollin on the buds and walla seeds.

or you could make the female turn hermie and self pollinate herself which should produce female seeds i cant go into to much detail as to tell you how to do it but if you use google or i think there is even a thread on this site it will tell you how to get femized seeds from your lady

just did that with the 4 low ryder 2 fems i have. going to take the seeds from two of the most resinous and keep for myself then going to give the rest to seedbay.

so whats the method, just keep them in flower way way past ripe and let them develop balls in an attempt to let there genes continue via self polination, does this really work?
