You couldnt be more right.

Well it kinda my only chance to pop a fair few seeds as any new grows will be with a max of 8. I want to explore the different spectrums and make some seeds. Most of the smaller ones are indicas or indica hybrids which are just there to tide me over till the sativas are done. cheers man!

VBT male:

-He is starting to show me a reddening/purpling leaf stem and stem, similar to the OTPH male. This is the only one out of the pack that has this. Dubi or anyone else; if your out there. Could you tell me if the pure VB exhibit these traits?
-This "guy" is a natural reversed male(very few pistils though) .

Hi redfrogs,

Glad to see you are close to harvest. The Vietnam Black also has sometimes the purple/reddish pigmentation in the stems. VB Thai is discontinued till the line is hermie free as possible.

Hi guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates, I had a security breach and needed to keep on the down low for a bit and had to cut most of my stuff down... I managed to snap some photos, shift some plants to other growers in my area and collected many seeds.

Purple Hazes and a Malawi

Taskenti (I think this is the NL pheno)

Stay safe!

Thanks for updating. Bummer not being able to watch these grow though.

Hope you got a satchel or 2 for your donations.

Anybody fill you in on the ease/difficulty of growing these? Any plant specific requirements? That sort of stuff. Any info is appreciated.

Nice looking cat too. :pet the cat:

Thanks WG!

Cat is the best kitty ever, just gotta make sure he doesn't chomp leaves or run off with a bud...he loves VBT, Taskenti and OTPH.

No donations were taken, only vibes were shared...

Well to answer your question, no one filled me in on anything lol. I did grab some notes from people like dubi, charlie g, Raco and the other regulars here like your humble narrator and Terpene on their discussions here.

Well since this grow is a side by side, I guess some notes should be written. As most have said before, Ace/CBG seeds only require water in a good organic soil mix and I agree with this. Most are also highly affected by changes in ph. I found that HPS hastened the onset of flowering in these strains by 1-1 ½ months compared to MH.

Strains

G13 Pineapple Express-> 2 1g bowls in a bong is weaker than half a spilf of Ace Panama. Don't bother with this.

TGA Kaboom-> Good for BHO and tasty.

Barney’s Dr. Grinspoon-> Poor yielder (lower than OTPH), effect feels like a slight bit more powerful than VBT. I don't recommend it though, VBT is better overall. Does not drink much water at all.
BCG Spyder-> simply awesome….
Dinafem Original Amnesia auto -> Meh….
Delicious La Musa-> watermelon smell, tasty.

Ace

VBT-> Fastest 100% sativa in the grow. Potential to have a very high yield. High fem ratio-> 1 herm(male), 9 fems, 2 males? Effect is not overpowering in VB phenos, but can be overpowering in Thai phenos. VB phenos are good for work, study and exploring. VB(Thai) phenos sometimes will project you to the stratosphere and it can be intense. Though it also has a gentle let down and does not fog your mind.

Panama-> As Dubi has mentioned previously, red pheno is branchy and more "trippy", green pheno is taller by 2-3 times. This strain has a hollow stem so it doesn't do well with super cropping. LST or a big scrog net would be better alternatives. Effect is enhanced visual and auditory perception (patterns (shapes and shadows) and sounds are enhanced-> music is awesome!). I also feel that if smoked enough, one starts to see OEV in the form of a pattern of squares in the middle of one's field of vision. A measured dose of .26g is enough to make my housemate (tester) to not have a productive day and I smoke him up with everything too. This is the favourite weed in my house. I am very excited to try Punto Rosa from CBG after trying Ace Panama. It should be the stuff of legends.

OTPH-> In veg it is kinda of slow growing, but it really excels in flowering. One thing I took from someone (raco i think), is that while growing hazes if you want them to show pistils quicker, make them root bound so they will be forced to flower. Once pistils are slightly developed transplant them out to larger pots. I found that the ones that were root bound finished quicker (those in picture above) compared to those that were not root bound at the onset of flowering. Those that were not root bound are at about 1/3-1/4 the bud size of those above. Also it does not respond well to high stress training, the best method would be SCROG or anything LST. Heavenly blue/blackberry aroma. Not smoked yet…

GT- IMO faster than Malawi. Very good strain if you are into plant training -> GT loves to be trained. Some phenos are very high yielders. I really have not smoked enough to give a good effect report. All I can say is that it is ridiculously strong, a joint of was made of immature bud that broke off and it required me four takes (tries) to finish it.

Malawi-> similar to GT; but I find it slower and the buds to be more airy.

CBG

Taskenti-> Longer flower indica(10-11weeks?) . Doesn’t do too well indoors, it prefers outdoors. Big calyxes, high leaf to calyx ratio and dislikes heat. The best effect is from overdone buds. As CG and Dubi mentioned it is opium. Your body leaves you and your head is left floating.

PDC-> Pretty good overall, susceptible to heat. Very frosty and powerful. Highs can be shifted from DC or Panama effect-> you can change the feeling from Panama high or DC stone. The mutant pheno I had is as potent as GT and I suspect it is DC dom.

PP-> Low yield, but taste, flavour and smoke make up for it. It is the best joint weed other than bubblegum. It can be mellow or trippy. Mellow PP is nice and relaxing kind of feels like the feeling of relaxation when taking a hot bubble bath. Trippy PP made my other housemate see a face of a friend in a drawing on our wall which spoke to him for 5 minutes.

Destroyer-> Prefers dry conditions in flowering. It has a soaring, intense high and long lasting effects (sometimes slight effects are felt 5 ½ hours after a hit). Very frosty and good smoke with a lemon twist.

JBM 85-> All were males so I culled them. I have another pack to pop and will get on to it.

In terms of mean potency to get someone to space… I would say the most potent is GT/Malawi, followed by Panama/Destroyer, followed by Taskenti/PDC/PP and finally followed by VBT. Kaboom fits somewhere in between PP and VBT.

WG, if you would like to know anything else, feel free to PM me.

That is an excellent comparison of a wide variety of Ace and CBG strains. It's rare to see a single person grow out such a large selection of their gear and do a comparative analysis of them all together. Thanks for the excellent information. It gives me a good basis to make future grow decisions on.

The tip about the HPS vs MH is particularly useful.

I'm curious. Not taking potency into account, which strain did you find to have the most clear, positive and happy effect? I am quite fond of Destroyer but I find it a bit overpowering and confusing at times. The confusion is nothing like the knock out indica funk you normally see but it can still be quite impairing.

Hi Hatter,

The one most matching your description would be VBT. It is clear and positive. But there are 3 main phenos and the happiest(silly times) would be the thai pheno. It also makes you focus but not as much as Destroyer.

I don't know if this classes as purple malawi(got 2 fems like this, rest are green)...had to cut it down early, rainy mold was starting to get at it.

Congrats for the harvest redfrogs :)

Im glad the grow was successful and that you are already enjoying the flowers of your work.
Your descriptions are as close as can be to our experience and descriptions of the strains. Thanks a lot for sharing!
