Very nice, just went through whole thread and I gotta hand it to u for pulling it off and sticking with it. Those plants look killer @ 4 weeks, your 2nd round (after modifying this room) will be 2x better than this one, I'm sure of it.

They are really starting to smell too. But not a weed smell at all. Just something sweet, kinda floral.
I always found that an interesting topic... whenever I smell weed that doesn't have the "traditional smell" and smells only like something else (fruity, sweet, whatever), I wonder if it's only because we're desensitized to it... and whether a lightweight or a non-smoker would be able to recognize it as the smell of weed?

Hey everyone.

It's been a little bit since I updated this thread. I wish I could say I've been busy, but I've been really, really lazy and antisocial in all reality. The grow hasn't been nearly as exciting as I thought it would be.

I appreciate you all still hanging around. And I laugh at the peeps that make posts in this thread, just to delete them shortly thereafter, you know who you are, haha.

The very sweet smell of the plants is still very much there, but now it's also starting to get that lovely skunky weed smell. I walk down the center isle there and I leave the room smelling like I have a couple ounces of really nice herb in my pocket. Which sort of leads me to a somewhat off-topic question...If I get pulled over smelling like pot because I've just been working in my room and have trace amounts of resin on my clothes, but no actual herb on me or in my car, and a drug dog alerts that I have drugs, but clearly nothing on me, what do you think could happen? Anything? I'm guessing nothing more than just a hassle from the cops...but I digress.

The plants are looking great. The cool temps are starting to turn some of the leaves purple. It should get really colorful these last few weeks - hopefully it will provide me with some of the excitement I've been looking for :violin: .

Well, here's how they're looking with 3 weeks to go.

get pulled over smelling like pot because I've just been working in my room

I've heard a few stories of police recognizing the smell of the growing plant as different from the finished product. I sure wouldn't want to worry about that -- now the cops have a reason to suspect you of growing, not just being a stinky stoner.

I thought it was common practice in these grows of A Certain Size to change clothes while working, and leave the work clothes on site? I would change clothes as soon as I got to the site...

A truly beautiful room, though! Congratulations!

I never wear the same clothes I went in the grow with, out in public. I always change and usually shower.

My lights go off at 11AM so if its simple PH check/adjust, I just go in my jammies. Then when done shower and dress for the day. If its alot of work like cleaning etc, then I change clothes, and shower when done.

A trafficcop is more than likely not going to do anything except search the car. But you better make sure the car is squeaky clean. I know someone posted here about finding some old bud in the car they completely forgot about. He could pass it up the chain but what is he going to say? The guy smelled like weed? What is the drug task force going to say?

It would be wise though to change clothes, and even shower.

As far as the smell on the clothes go, I wasn't really all that paranoid about it, it was just something I thought and wondered about. BUT I really do appreciate the suggestion of changing my clothes. That is an easily affordable, OBVIOUS, ounce of prevention that will be employed from now on.

So. I took a few pictures tonight. I really like the color. The excitement is coming back :jump:

And a (almost full) shot of the garden.

When i first started to expand my grows, and i was running the Ogre (a particularly stinky gal) I went out to be with some friends; and 3 different people took me aside...
"dude, you really stink like dank."
So that is an excellent lesson, especially on the level you're at: Take a shower, change your clothes--ALWAYS.
Anyways, looking great bud. This is an inspirational grow for sure.

Hi Freedom. Nice setup. I couldn't help noticing that maybe you should have alighned your lights so that the duct ran straighter. Looks like if you just turned them 90 degrees it might help your cooling problem?
Cheers

Nice setup bro! Gotta love them huge setups! If those ballast can take 220v and all u need is the new plug, witch from your pictures im pretty sures is either 120 or 220 and all u need is a new $10 plug for each ballast. plus eletric stuff rehooked up.. it will cut the cost of energy almost 1/2. Will draw almost 1/2 the amps.

if only the electric company billed you in amps instead of watts

only thing switching to 220 will do is free you up some amperage from your electric panel. it will not save you any money

daps on the grow freedom its a beast
