Truly inspirational. You mind if I ask what you get per lbs? You deserve all the accolades given by your fellow growers for overcoming the initial obstacles, having the insight to ask questions, and present to us a honest grow diary. Cheers.

Hehehehe ugi what ya doing the first weekend in jan, I got a scissor here with your name on if you love trimming soo much!

I have tryed the handy trimmer and they work, but still u need to be several ppl to harvest and get a good flowing going.

IMO the biggest problem with the handy trimmer is it moves around when you use it, so you need one to hold it and one to turn the handle and a 3rd person to chop the plants!

Now I know there is alot of ppl out there who don't like automatic trimming, im not for or against I find it don't matter one bit. People who use the trimmers are not home growers, they don't smoke most of the crop themself either and need to get the harvest done and move a new crop in. Where is the business logic in spending weeks of trimming, unless you directly enjoy trimming it's something to get over with asap!

If it effected the price alot shure id see a problem in autotrim buds, maybe different from place to place. Here 90% of the ppl just wanna have it as cheap as possible, not careing if there is a leaf stalk or two in the bud. They care for getting high easy, if they care so much for handtrimmed buds, they would be growing them self no??????

Save the money and get a trimpro if you are thinking about getting a automatic trimmer, it's deffently the best trimmer I have seen on the market.

I hand trim for now, but only till I get my Trimpro trimmer - So don't hate me yet ROFL

Geez, you guys are all really some of the absolute nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of being in contact with. The things you've said about my grow and my personality in general give me goosebumps all over and just the greatest feeling of warmth throughout my body, and I'm not trying to be all girlie and I am not exaggerating. So....a HUGE THANKS to everyone who has taken the time to come hang out :respect:.

badugi - Yeah man, I've taken a look at his thread a few times...3-4gpw is just an outlandish claim, IMHO, and the only ones who buy into it are the newbs, it seems. Maybe he just doesn't know how to use his scale correctly .

yamaha_1fan - Yeah man, I know you've got it rough too with all that trimming. You have wifey at least to help you, right?

LiLWaynE - Whaddup homie! Happy as always to have you stop by, brother!

DonChron - Thank you sir, thank you:joint:.

greengorillaz - Yeah man, that's what we hope to be saying this next run, fah sho!

High Jinks -
Truly inspirational.
... thanks a lot. I really enjoy hearing that what I do is actually inspirational, it really means a lot. It's one of the biggest reasons I come here and do what I do. However, it is slightly in bad taste to discuss salaries, as we barely know each other yet;).

GReen dreAM - That's cool man, good luck with it. I haven't had time to check out the Youtube thing, partner and I have decided on the Trimpro Automatik anyway. No one has told me it mangles or fucks up the buds yet, so we're sold. Our money grows on trees now.

cellardweller - Hey brother, well you were the first person to come hang in the Adventure, sending me your positive vibes. It was all I could do send out some of my own your way in your time of need.

Lava Surfer and badugi - I appreciate your input on the Trimpro. I hope it's the answer to all my trimming woes.

gdawg - Yo brother, nice to have you stop by again! Yeah man, I can't say I'm not proud at all. For several reasons: I'm my own boss, after the initial setup of the room and not taking into account all the trimming, I worked maybe 45 minutes a day to every other day, and finally, I know I'll do better next time.

A-Loc - Yeah I dunno, I was never a fan of the idea of chemicals of any kind going into or onto my cannabis.

johnipedestran - Haha, no shit. I'd be curious to see if it gets around. I really have to say it's very mildly seedy to be honest. I've been smoking buds out of a pound I have sitting here and haven't found any yet and the people that have bought smaller amounts haven't reported any either. I think I discarded all to most of the badly seeded shit and plucked what visible seeds I could see. I've been telling everybody they might find 1 bud out of every 50 - 100 buds may have 1-3 seeds. I think that's safe.

So...Aside from all the trimming and shit, I've been busting my muthafuckin' ass for what seems like an eternity to get all my ducks lined up for when I go away on vacation. My wonderful girlfriend and I are going to a beautiful tropical island in an undisclosed location very, very soon.

I was going to re-do the way the ducts ran for the lights because of all the shit I got from a few people on how ugly and inefficient it looked. I decided to say fuck it because it worked great this past time, and it will work great for another 2 runs before it gets really warm outside. By then, it will be summer and we've decided to take the summer off.

But I re-did the irrigation. I bought 1/2" cpvc pipe for one main line with ball valves before each of my 1/2" flexi that leads to the feeders. I got all the parts together and in 4 sections, we'll put it in tonight and I'll take pics.

I got the other 80 transplanted last night. The other 100 that have been in there a week have all been bent, staked, tied, and have had their bottoms trimmed off. When I get back from vaca, the other 80 will get done.

So last night, I took a few shots, here's what I got:

See all the stakes...I told ya, I ain't slackin' this time:

Left side, the latest 80, all last night's work:

Trimmed up underneath, wayyy neater than last run:

Then I have a the shit I've been working on in the veg room, getting the future set up.

Meet the Baluchi's. They are direct from the Baluchistan region of Pakistan. My Paki friend (they don't see being called Paki as derogatory, he lets me call him a Paki, so I guess it's ok.) went to his motherland to get married and ended up bringing back some beans. The whole story is elsewhere in this thread, it's more interesting for sure, but I digress. I hope they turn out great:

The momma and papas...

Lil baby boy and girl Baluchi's socializing with some Sour Bubble/Sour Bubble x Basic Kush and William's Wonder baby girls:

All of those little ones will end up in my partners basement under 4k. He wanted to get some plants in there because he wants to vent the heat from the lights to heat his house this winter, LOL!

Here's some hashoil I made a couple weeks ago from Bubba Kush trim and denatured alcohol. I let it evaporate at room temp and all that crystally hash was the result of a thin white film I scraped off the glass. And before anyone goes and says anything negative about denatured alcohol, go read the MSDS sheets on KleenStrip Denatured Alcohol. You can find all the ingredients in it there.
This shit is (was) the fire:

Thanks for reading!

let me give you a few inspirational quotes to mentally aide you with your 2nd journey... or life in general

"Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." - Thomas Alva Edison

"Hard work is the yeast that raises the dough" - unknown author

"Unless you are willing to drench yourself in your work beyond the capacity of the average man, you are just not cut out for positions at the top." -J.C. Penney

Looking 4ward to a 2nd round there FIP... have fun with ya lady on that island...cuz when ya get back, your in for another couple months of hard work!

Yeah, 12 hours a day sitting next to the wife, TONS of fun. A trim pro is on the list right after some other financial obligations, probably late February

I know the ducting for the lights are not pretty. Unfortunately, I really couldn't do it any other way, without decreasing the amount of lights I'm using. Looking at the picture, I wanted to have the all the lights running the other way, you know, all turned 90 degrees. It would have allowed for a much more efficient and smoother-looking design, I know. But I just couldn't do it because of the shape of my room and the fact that the hoods are rectangular and not square.

Honestly, I couldn't care any less how that stuff looks. When you guys see my timer setup, I'm sure some, if not a lot, of you are gonna laugh.

As long as I have great light, great temperatures, and great airflow, I know the plants will be superb. And I have all of those.

why not instead of having the air flow from one hood to another, have the intake go in a straight line down the room connecting to all the hoods and ending in the last, then the exhaust line also connecting to all the hoods?

What's up clide, and welcome to ICMAG. You've come to a great place for sure. And to answer your question, I don't really have a good answer for that. I guess because I have a list of priorities, and redoing the ventilation quickly dropped way to the bottom of that list when I realized that the thing works absolutely perfectly the way it is.

I thought we all got over the way shit looks above my plants:bashhead:..

LiLWaynE - Geez man, everyone one of those inspirational quotes has the word work mentioned at least once. Homie, it really isn't work if you honestly truly enjoy what you're doing. I know you know this. But I really think it is one of the biggest secrets of life. Do what you love. w3rk's f3r j3rks!!

yamaha_1fan - pssh. I play my violin for you. At least you can tell your trimming partner to take a break and give you a blowjob. I got 60 year old man with a walrus mustache and a beer belly. And he's a conservative republican to boot!

johnipedestran - Yeah, my mom used to tell us the same thing. Then when mine really did start growing on trees, I never missed an opportunity to tell her about it.

I ran out of the house tonight without the camera. I did however get the irrigation all setup and I am VERY pleased with it. Everything is all set for me to go away and pretty much fool-proofed for my partner to take care of in my place. The only thing I'm nervous about is the tightness of the aisle. I've been doing the ballerina thing around my plants for 10+ years, and I'm fairly young and agile...This guy however..well, we'll see.

Can't wait to see the next batch in full flower. I can't wait until the day I can fill up a good size space with plants and have a sea of nugs.
