a lil info for you

3 gal pots.
FFOF soil cut with perlite.
I am using all FF fertilizers incl. the additives and following their feeding schedule.
Room temps have been the low 80's.
they need watering about every 2 days.
I ph my water to 6.5...run off seems to be around 6.3
with the foxfarm nutes the ph comes in around 5.3, it requires a fair amount of GH's PH up to get it to the sweet spot...i do add a lil bit at a time and slowly bring it up...but the stuff is based on potassium,,,could this be whats effecting the ladies?
3000 watts total.
air movement is excellent.
this picture was taken at 21 days flower.

I've tried foliar feeding with a 1/2 tsp of calmag plus and some penetrator, that was at day 14 flower, the plants actual responded negatively and look like they do in the picture.

Any ideas?

My first suggestion would be to stop using all the additives. Flush them nicely and start again with the basics. PH your water after adding basic nutes. You may not need the extras....just my input.

Oh....almost forgot. Get them up off the floor. Something on the floor could be wicking into the root mass when they draw the runoff back in. Ive done it.

Otherwise they look pretty good. Looks like a nice yield is in the future there.

here's some shots day 28 flower. Could definitely look better. This is a new grow spot for me, still have some kinks to work out.

I've decided to just fert now with TB...dropped it down to 1 1/4 of a teaspoon, i may ramp it up to 2 teas., we'll see.
no more additives.

I am feeding every 2nd watering cause the plants need watering every 2 days. I don't want to fert more then once a week at this point.
hopefully they get no worse then they are now.
4 more weeks then chop

So when you water where does all the excess runoff go to? In the pictures the soil looks dried out which would stress the plants if that was the case.

The plants are sitting in a spill container which is on top of a piece of card board to insulate the pots from the concrete floor. I would say the pots dry a little faster then normal(every 48 hrs) because i have a higher ratio of perlite added to the FFOF then normal, maybe 35%.

3 more weeks to go

3 more weeks to go

Well it seems that the worst is over the plants health took a dive but seem to have stopped. New growth looks great and the buds are starting to fill in nicely.
The smell...oh yes the smell...pure GDP goodness.

Thanks lotus. This is my first run of the GDP. I was a little skeptical of this being the real deal, cause you never know when you get clones from the clubs. But the smell is a dead give away and these ladies have that smell.

sounds like things got better. maybe next go-around try not to get it too hot, get it under 80. its an indica, likes moderate temps. gdp is one of the best, props.

looks to me like calmag lockout due to ph problems.

i base this on the green skeleton of the leaves, with the yellowing around the edges.

you mentioned that your run-off water is lower in ph then the actual feeding solution!

often what happends when people get lockout issues they think it is a def. because the symptoms are calmag def. logical enough there is a tendency to use additives in order to force feed the plant what it lacks.

however a lockout is a lockout, and adding additives that the plant does not absorb will only turn the soil more acidic over time. thats why they responded negatively.

now listen, when watering heavily the soil will release alot of those nutes that the plant couldnt absorb earlier. if you do not perform a full and complete flush, you could make the problem worse. a half ass flush is no good.

often i find it much easier just to let the pots dry out abit, not fully, but almost. when the soil is dry it releases less nutes, or the plant absorbs less. that way you can carefully water down your soil with the correct ph to balance it out, and have the plant actually use the leftovers.

i would strongly recommend binging the old digital ph-pen (if that is what you use), and go buy a consentrat liquid ph test. they will have them at your local aquarium/fish/zoo/pet-store, whatever you call it locally. usually they cost around 10 dollars/euros and will last you a month or two, depending on the brand. with this you will get consistant results always.

its always hard to tell tho by pictures, you asked for input, i hope any of this makes sence to you :D

good luck

I am with you on that rifman. Since cutting back the feeding to ever third watering and dropping the dose of fert down they seemed to have gotten better. Damage has been done though. Wonder how much this mistake is gonna cost me in final yield?
I think I'mm gonna go back to hydro after this round. I figure when i have this room full of ladies it'll be easier to deal with then hundreds of pounds of soil.
