Try H&G's Bud xl. Thats my plan. This is my first run with H&G. I used to do AN and always liked big bud though.

I started feeding mine molasses and it seems to be a good idea I have to say. I dissolved it into some warm water, stirred it really well, and added it to the nute water. Should have a good variety of trace minerals, and cheap to buy.

i would say the taste of my green was good & sweet so maybe the headmasta worked,but i didnt find the buds where that much bigger with the potash..i have heard good things about the bud xl

The molasses has very low ph. I always check my ph, the nutes have very different ph requirements based on how much of each one I use. I just use the little $10 bottle of drops, and adjust until it's about the same color of pale orange. Not very precise but the girls are doing great, and the price was right.

Was just going to say that! I used a pen for the last 8 years and got sick of replacing them. I just use the drops now. set it to orange and let it rise to yellow!

Hi, hope u both having a great day.
When i started this grow i made the decision to do it without any ph control. I want to keep this grow as simple as 'pour and go'.
So far, its been working, and plants havent complained. so far, lol.
all ive been doing is pouring in the A+B, and feed. one day food, one day dry etc.
Ill be a happy camper if i can get thru this grow without having to ph anything.Next grow , ill invest in a ph pen.

Plants are looking nice, pushing out their pistils, and stretching.
Hoping the stretch slows down soon. Do plants usually stop their stretch by week 3? Ive managed to keep the canopy relatively level, lol. With the different phenos of two strains in there, its hard, but they all seem to be ok, and handling the food etc.

Also, im feeding at 1.6ec. How high can/should i be going to ?
would it be best to keep increasing food strength until signs of burn?
Also, when adding additives for flowering, should i mix the a+b, then additives, then feed?

I was thinking of feeding soil A+B one day, next day the flowering additives, next day water.
Would that be ok? or would it be better to add the additives with the A+B, and feed in one go?

Week 3 update

Week 3 update

went to check in on the ladies, and all seems ok.

They are in week 3 flower now.
Ec has been 1.4-1.6, with H&G Soil A+B. No pH adjusting.
Just picked up some headmaster and superior potash today.
Added at 0.5ml per litre of each as a first feed, then topped up with soil A+B, to give a total feed of 1.6ec

Cuttings i took about 9 days ago have started to root.
I tried to keep it as simple as possible, to see how they would cope. The cubes were soaked with tap water, then used on cuttings. cuttings were made with normal scissors, lol.
They recieved no water until today. Havent got a veg area (yet), so they been living in a small hot space, which i think has affected their health. Temps have been about 25-28degrees. the 110w light has been on 24/7.
Today, when i thought i should give em some water, i noticed the roots starting to appear.

Ive tried to start training them, and they seem to be surviving ok. lol

Thanks for the words, much appreciated. Sorry for late response, but thought id let you know, i took your advice, and stripped quite a few shading areas clear of blockages. Will see how they cope over the next week. When researching it, i noticed theres mainly two schools of thought, one to not touch em, and the other being it doesnt stress em as much as people make out. I felt mine was too crowded, due to them growing how they want from seed form.
Definately learned a lesson watching how much a plant changes when it goes into flowering.

lol, im actually loving the training more than the flowering room, lol Wasnt meant to happen like this, but i dont know, this training malarky has some addictive gene in there, lol.

Im planning on making all the cuttings into small mini trees, to ease space issues, and also just cause i love the way they look. Also allows me to top and also fim, so i can see how the plants react to different methods of training. I topped the ones below a day or so ago. So im hoping they start to redirect their energy all over now, and grow more fat n bushy.

They really starting to stink now. The veg area stinks, and also everytime i go near the flowering ladies, they proper reek, but a nice horrible smell if u get me. Never been good at desciptions, so apologies on lack of description of aromas.

Week 4 Update

Hi Guys/gals,

just a quick update. been busy here, im just trying to keep up with the grow, and everyday life. lol. Cant wait to (hopefully) make it to the end, and smoke something..

Week 4 - pics from last week. Will try get some pics up at the end of this week for week 5

Flowering plants have received a maximum of 1.8ec, of which
1.6 was base feed (soil A+B),
0.2 was additives (superior potash+headmaster)

Since then, ive brought the base feed down slightly, and giving full strength potash and headmaster now, and seem fine. I think ill keep the ec between 1.6-1.8, as i have no idea how much more they can take. I think ill see how high they can cope with different feeds on the next round.

All of them are fine, and no signs of burns etc. will get proper photos next week, when i have my camera.

In the veg area, ive just been enjoying the time with the cuttings that are being trained. Also repotted the cuttings i took about 18days ago. Cant wait to do another flowering session soon, as i plan to train the plants to maximise space and limit height.

Thanks for looking peeps. Any advice always appreciated.
Any thoughts on feed? Should i keep the additives @ full strength, and slowly increase the base feed, so i get a total of 2.0 ec?
Or more?

I felt the same way when I started training. It's fun to see how you can shape them. I did one that was in the shape of a corkscrew one time. I've only done it to my mothers though. The pics look great! Good luck!
