so i'm making another batch of butter, i got about an ounce of trim and popcorn nugs already dried and ready to go...

but i would like to add some more, i got a couple plants finishing now, they got about another week or so, if i cut some of my lower branches, that are little popcorn nugs anyways, and put those in the water\butter mix, would it work alright?

i've always heard u gatta dry it out before making butter with it...anyone ever make butter with freshly pulled nugs?

Hi, kingspade!

Dry product should have a much greater tendency to absorb the butter -- allowing the butter, in turn, to pull the goodies out of it. You could even dry it in the micro in a pinch.

If you've got any silkscreen or proper nylon around, you could make a kif product from it and use it (the 'kif') and the rubbed product all together in the butter. The 'kif' will have a much smaller surface area per particle, of course, so the thc will be even better absorbed into the butter than otherwise possible.

Eat an extra cookie for me!!

yeah i'm sure all the moisture will leave the plant when it's simmering

the drier the better. The dry stuff break ups and increase the usable surface area which will make it better, quicker. Dry it and break it up. Freezing it is good. Try freezing it wet then breaking it up, that would be better than straight wet.
