ic mag has a policy of disallowing discussions on magic mushrooms. as this thread began with the mushrooms that can grow in your growing medium it slipped through. but too much further discussion on the psycho active mushies will cause it to be binned.

You've done some research have you grown shrooms before?
I used to grow them I used to be apart of another site like tis one before I came here but I got bored with growing shrooms so I decided to move forward to the greens

That mushroom up to p is not magic the way you can tell is to break it in half and if the stem turns blue then you can eat it if it dont turn blue then I wouldn't eat it unless you know for sure its edible
They are a fun time just not an every day use kinda thing
But if you get cluster migraines they are good to keep around
Peace oj

Terrible advice. ' turns blue' means nothing. Unless you have studied shrooms before, dont trust anything. In BC, you can find poison mushrooms RIGHT BESIDE liberty caps, and the only way to tell is to do the peel test. If you tear the cap in half you will see a layer of transparent slime that coats the cap. The layer should be thick, and remail un broken as you spread the cap. These are Liberty caps. Dont even trust this.

alkalien, in the russian urals they also harvested the muscaria for their psychoactive properties, and before that there were the peeeps they pillaged and ravaged that were called *beserkers* that also became intoxicated with A. muscaria..
history is deep and rife with mushroom and relidions also
the rig veda of the hindu's also has passages that are probably linked
to psychoactive fungi.

think about it, early man tring to make sense of the world and the elements, and up pops this plant like no other...
just pops up out of nowhere over nite, and when eaten takes you into a world of ecstasy
into heaven?
i'm sure early man would have revered certain mushrooms and put them into godly/religious status.
leary gave psilocybin to 10 theology majors in the early 60s, 8 of 10 believed they had an authentic religious experience.

mushrooms have had an effect on many cultures more deeply than you miay think.

lots of food for thought there ...eh?

yes the mycelial network works in a symbiotic relationship with many plant and trees.
its a sign of a healthy soil ecosystem when mushrooms are sprouting at the base of your canabis :)
