rc just disappears for a while sometimes. subbed.

interesting note on mm. according to some mm quotes on bushweeds epic mm thread: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=175243

Bangladesh and laotian were possibly genetic ancestors to at least one or more of the old skool mullum lines.
"Mullumbimby Madness = traditional South-Asian and landrace Australian (Nth NSW in Aus) sativa mix from “Old Mother”: Thai (50%, female) x Colombian Sativa (25%, male) x Bangladesh Sativa (25%, male)"
^^ https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=175243 the aussies have stated more than a few times that what was reputed to be thai genetics were often Laotian genetics grown in laos or Thailand.

purpleclouds has an exotic cross I call tsunami that is Laotian/Bangladesh. I've got 4 of these outdoors (my albums) and some still in seed form. it would be real interesting to take southern's ( aka ozg) mm (southern star seeds) and pollinate it with tsunami and run those in comparison to southern's current mm strain.

southern at sss also has a strain called nanan bouclou that is 1/2 png (cape tribulation sativa). I've almost isolated png dom out of nanan bouclou (also in my albums). there is some speculation on the bushweed mm epic thread that png had a lot to do with some old skool mm lines:

as an OVERGROW veteran, I witnessed the one called Mullum Madman (one of the family members of the supposed originators of the strain) do several grows of these monstrous sativas that he called...Mullumbimby Madness... in the Nimbin region... anyhow.. for a while, the good man made some seeds and made them available through Seeds Direct.. this was great... untill a bunch of kids tried to grow these tropical landrace (pretty much.. IBL at least) sativas in their superheated closets with their little crap lights and whatnot.. well, thats just not agreeable to a strain that has been bred for 30 years outside in the tropics as a plant that just gets sooo monstrous that its hard to control in an open friggin field. They had hermies, poor potency, and poor yeild on a long ass flower time.. they got upset.. Mullum Madman was run out of the game and havent seen him since,.

According to him and his circle, a good component of the Mullumbimby Madness was Papua New Guinea Gold and some other sativas from the pacific rim.. apparently this genepool contributed greatly to the nimbin area, cause alot of the old school sativas grown around there are (supposedly) some version of the original Madness, just showing what the different growers have chosen in ther selections..."

I've got a little nice extreme sativa png dom male pollen stored in the freezer for this sss mm/cape tribulation sativa project for another attempt to recreate old skool mm phenos.

southern star seed's mm has a purple pheno in there that is actually good at translating into subsequent hybrid progeny. the purple mm is quite rare and desired.

my first run of sss mm produced decent product. in my area if the soil is not amended properly the bud appearance and/or performance can be drastically impaired. sss mm is not commercially available yet.

i do this kind of stuff for the actual love of doing it. it's a weird compulsive/obsessive pollen chunkin' passion of mine that brings me a lot of pleasure working thru different projects.

^^ a little intermission 'dog and pony show' 'till rc returns. :)

love and joy my friends. :)

Too bad, would like to have seen a good finish. Here’s a bud of an outdoor grown La Niña. I know it’s a hybrid but the longer it cures the better it gets. Not sure what line Shanti has for the mother but the hybrid does well for me outdoors here.

Hola Folks,

As Bob Green kindly passed on, all 4 of the specimens went full blown hermie and so they were culled from my summer projects:( It certainly was a shame as the structure and bouquet was very special...just don't like balls on a lady;)

I do have some other landraces on the Go already and will start a journal in the near future! iidit is right....life seems to get busy and so my time on the forums can be intermitent, my apologies.

Thanks for tuning in and hopefully my 2016 is more successful:)

Saludos
