I've got the 65 CFM AC fans from radioshack. They really move a lot of air but can't be plugged up too much. My scrubber is too small to have a one pass system so I cool my lights separately. You're probably getting at least 50CFM through your system to keep the temps down that well.
How big is that scrubber of yours? Maybe I can copy the dimensions onto a Sun is Shining design.

the scrubber is a can 2600...i think the dims. are 5.5 x 18tall....4" hookup
$50 from md hydro....been in service for a few yrs. and i still cant smell a thing
was a necessity for my situation

cool, thanks for the measurements. You've got about 3 sq ft of surface area with that scrubber. I've only got about 1 sqft and have about 1/3 the flow.
maybe I will make that scrubber after all. Thanks for all your help.

yeah bro, I have I think two or three laying around somewhere as we use to use em on these certifiers I use to certify LOL You need a certifier to certify the certifier. That was when I use to work. Use to be an electrical engineer until, well thats another story. A speed control would be perfect for your situation. That way you can fine tune it at anytime.
The fan is what about 6 to 7 inches in diameter and has a connection for common neatral and ground connections. I am not sure if it will fit your needs but for any newcomer this maybe a good option for them with a speed control. Prices are not too expensive either. For those interested checkout jameco.com that is the first page I found doing a search.

Maybe I wont have joe put it in the same package as that would just be making the post office rich. I can just send one priority mail. That will be easier and I dont know when joes coming back. I know hes gotta be missing his grow. I knowI would be going insane.

priority is just a few bucks. The last time I sent something priority it was 7.70 or something like that. No worries mate. What kills me is sending payment for beans across the pond. 40.00 at fedex. But you know what, I wasnt one of those guys saying where is my order or where is my payment its been a week LOL

Curious that in the early pics you dont completely light proof the res? Seeing the results, I assume no algae probs? Curious as to your changeouts and such.
Also super slick with the drawer slides.

....i think the res. could be left clear...as the canopy keeps it quite dark down there
and no res. changes till i flush....ive done it both ways and for DWC it dosent
make a diff.....at least not in my system...i just add nute mix or plain distilled water as i see fit
