How is that afghooey? do you notice a dry, sweet, cherry smell and taste?

I find afghooey to taste and smell pretty similiar to Cheese with Cheese being the hands down winner in smell and taste but there are some subtle similiarties.

BTW how did that abusive end up yielding for you? its the biggest one ive seen other than the last one you grew... haha

Whats that afkansas stan taste and smell like guys?

To me afgooey tasted like that sour affy typical dutch affy taste(not good, IMO)
And the good part of it was the sativa, real nice fruity spicey taste.
I'm gonna try the goo instead, I think I'll like that way more.

Hey JDOGG, Afkansas tastes and smells like a typical afghani should, sorta lemony sorta funky..not really spicy but very musky and lemony.

The Afkansastan has a classic deep, rich, funky/spicy smell with a hint of piney skunk. I have smoked her with a hand ful of smokers who smoked a lot of the Afghani's that hit the USA in the 80's, and everyone of them said this is the only true representation of a PURE Afghani they have seen since then. You smoke her, she will reak your house up with the most classic burned marijuana smell you can imagine. I sneaked a toke of it at the in-laws last Christmas and my wife freaked out because I smelled so strong lol

MrD I just bought 2 packs of Hawaiian Sativa from Federation, I hope I find some wild moms and dads. How did you find these when ya grew em out? I figure there must be some gems in the line considering what came out. PS> where's Funky Bitch?

Dusty - lol I just got a phone call today saying that my 2 packs of Hawaiian Sativa arrived What I look for in a best representation of Fed's HS is this: Huge 9-11 blade fan leafs with extremely thin blades, tall and stretchy with an extreme sour/menthol lemon smell and flavor with an extreme "up" sativa high with little paranoia or anxiety yet very "up". Watch out for the other phenotypes, which are shorter and quicker to flower. They have a different type of lemon flavor and the high is not sativa enough. Still an excellent plant but not the HSpheno that blew my mind. Out of 4 packs between you and I we should find a killer male and female. Due to unfortunate circumstances a while back I lost the Funky Bitch

Scrappy - yes the Golden Goat is a specially selected clone from a large batch of Hawaiian Sativa/Romulan x ISS seeds I made.

Alright how bout some Airbourne G-13 at day 6 of flower. I vegged this lady for over 2 months in a 2-gallon and she would not branch out for anything. Impossible to LST because that main lead is so strong she would snap if you tried to bend her.


Look how dense her internodes grow. I am expecting just one fat bud off of this plant





I am not keeping her because of how slow she grows in veg. Plus with my limited plant numbers she is not worth. Maybe if I were doing a SOG it would be a different story

Sweet... I grew GN line of M Tundra x G13 and she looked exactly like that..I crossed her to a frosty Sour D male.

sorry to here about her condition, I hope you still have a mom/clone of her.

Here are a few of my updates since it has been a while.

First up is my favorite pure Afghani (I really mean "PURE"...not the "fake Pure" like the Pure KUSH) ...

OR, I guess you could call it "Kansas Kush"


100% PURE AFGHANI genetics here. Seeds were brought from Afghanistan to Kansas back in the late 1980's from bags of the best buds acquired there on a trip by AFOAF.

This plant stretches less than Bubba Kush. I vegged her to 22" and she finishes at 28".

She has such a deep classic skunky/piney/slightly lemony smell to her, and she will stink up your house real fast. Fresh or smoked, this plant is a stinker. No, it is not the roadkill, but from working with this plant I am safe to GUESS that your typical "road kill" skunk might possibly be a classic pure Afghani. She will floor you after smoking her too. I know a few peeps who don't grow her anymore because she is such debilitating indica

She is on day 42 and they will be harvested between days 52-60

Next is a Bubba Kush on day 70. I didn't feed this one as heavy and I am glad. The buds look better and are more compact and less leafy than my previous Bubba Kush due to a different feeding. I cut her N earlier on this plant

I love the smell to her. I used to dislike BUbba Kush. I thought she was overrated...THEN I let her go to day 70 Different story now

Last is Black Domina. She is on day 82. She could have done better, but she spent the best of her flowering cycle blooming during July and August, which mean HOT! She didnt' suffer too bad, but she could have come out better. By far some of my favorite smoke right here. She will put you down quicker than Mike Tyson will, and unlike Mike, she smells soo soo good! Like sour lemonaide
