Hey, Happy Holidays, eh! Hope you and your wife have some happy and cozy Holiday times together!

Thx much for the compliments - I looked in on the drying buds last night, the RH has been very low the last week and so I think they're already dry enough to jar tonight - so I'll be trying the first tastes just after Xmas. I'll tell ya the SS has the most delicious fruity grape smell, so I'm hoping she knocks me on my butt!

Yes, the PS2 is looking to be a real beauty - in my continuing attempts at killing clones I took some mid flower cuttings to try for roots :yoinks: keeping my fingers crossed. The GP1 alas is now looking to be male - don't know what's up with the preflowers this run, but I was able to only spot 2 males before dropping to 12/12 lighting! - so I'm going to let his flowers mature a bit and then grab some cuts for some pollen - also means I'll be transplanting the other GoldenPineapple - hoping she is really a she - and then if lucky making some seed.

GPB, definitely the PS x Skunk1 cross is one to repeat if you have the workings still  She and the amnesia99 are the most vigorous F1s I've grown so far. Pics by mid week.

Later folks!

Hiya Jenna
Hey thanks for stopping by and the compliment! Happy Holidays to ya too! Will do on the SS smoke report - I jarred up everything today so another week or so and I'll start tasting...

We've gone from super damp to super dry the last week or so, and after only 6 days hanging the harvested plants were bone dry. So in the jars they went - now time to burp the babies for a while...

2 more males in the flower cabinet - sbbx1-3 and G99-3. G99 branches in water waiting to shed pollen, the SB will need to grow a few more male flowers.

Powerskunk-2 continues it's vigor at day 29

Starting to get a frost on

SBBX1-2 and G99-5 day 7

G99-5 is really a bushy gal - in another week I'm going to hit a couple of the lower branches with pollen from her 2 brothers - one that is bushy like her and one that is stout but not bushy. Also hoping to get enough SB pollen to seed the SB in the cabinet and save some in the freezer for use later on the short pheno that is still vegging.

Here's the veg plants:

Had an overfert problem - must have added a wee bit too much guano to the soil last transplant a month ago - they started burning and when flushed the water initially smelled like a well aged diaper :yoinks: Put a good stunt on the remaining powerskunk - that one is recovering but will probably need another flush this week, the other 3 are recovering already. The sourbubble got a bit of crinkle leaf but other than that no big deal, she must love heavy meals - good to know I can beef her up in flower.

So down to 3 plants in flower now, haven't decided yet if I'll put one or more of the vegging plants to flower right away. Either way the girls will be having some adult fun in a week or 2 :woohoo:

Later!

:yoinks:

Hell I'd make about 15 cuttings out of all of that. :biglaugh: But then again I'm working in a real tiny veg cab and have to keep things small. :D

Looking great as always my friend.

I'll see about posting a pic of my Skunk#1 at some point over the next vew days. They're at day 24 I think so might be a nice comparison to your power skunk.

It'S fun to see how the different related strains compare. For example, the Sour Diesel is a killer in veg, just pumps out loads of shoots and grows real chunky, whereas the Skunk#1 grows real branchy, but more delicate and prolly only about half the mass of the same aged SD. The n once you flip to 12/12 the S#1 goes for it and overtakes the SD within 2 weeks. :D
The Skunk girls are now again taller than the Diesel, and I had a lot of fun watching. And that haze baby is just about starting to stretch.... :D

Nice to hear of another Grapey strain. I've heard good things about Sensi Star, great taste just sweetens the package. Can't wait for one of your mouth watering descriptions

Hiya TML
I know 'zackly what you mean! Took me a while to really appreciate this girl, she's a real looker now.

Thx for the warning on that fat bearded guy - def won't let him in the grow room - but tell ya what I might just put a brick in the fireplace - let him try to find his way around after inhaling all the way down the chimney! :pointlaug

Hiya Core
Thanks much for the compliments - very happy to have a garden to putter in at home. Have a great holiday!

Hiya -VT-
Sensi Star = Hemp Star??? :chin: Really?? I was having questions about these SS clones - most of the ss reports talk of lemony and skunky scents - these smell strongly of fruit and already after drying a week theres a strong floral / rose aroma too. Either way, sure smells delish. Yielded maybe 20% less than the LS and TW. If I can get them to reveg will have to veg them bigger next time around. Thx for the compliments - hope I can get some pollen to make some babies with the SB and G99 ladies!

MGJ, not sure how tall she was. :chin: It was a really odd cut. I cut her from the flowering plants as always then stuck em back under 24. She rooted and grew a little, into a PERFECT little christmas tree, I mean perfect, and that at about 4" tall, looked real crazy. :yoinks: I veged her for another 2 weeks under the big light and then topped after the 4th node (I think) leaving me with about 8 main tops as they all grew up real well by then. She's been reeeeaaal slow so far compared to the Sk#1 & SD, but is now slowly starting to catch up as they have stopped stretching, and she's beginning to. It does look a bit funny, whole cab is filled as always by fat Diesely & Skunky stuff, and then there's this flimsy skinny biatch in the corner. :biglaugh:

I'll post pics in the next couple of days. Had the cam with me yesterday, but then heard someone outside the cellar and got parranoid so left it. Damn parranoia. :bat: :pointlaug

Hmmmm....first off must say joecrowe has fine tastes :biglaugh: :yummy:

I tried doing a little research into this...Having Hempstar being my favourite strain. I vistited Sensi Seeds website and found the write up:

The name Sensi has long been associated with top quality cannabis and Sensi St@r lives up to her title by being one of the strongest Indicas that you’ll ever encounter. Awarded First Place (indoor organic) in the Highlife Festival 1999 and winner of the Indica Cup at the 1999 High Times Cannabis Cup!
Sensi St@r grows solid clusters of devastating bud, frosted with outrageous amounts of sticky resin. Her rich, earthy Afghani aroma speaks for itself. Within this strain, the longer-flowering females are usually the best producers.
Sensi St@r is one of the world’s finest Indica seed-strains and has set a new standard for indoor growing power.

They don't mention the parentage though.

On Puresativa.com they claim...
The exact genetics of Sensi Star are kept secret, but a quite high percentage of Afghani genetics is for sure, supplemented by a hint of sativa which is clearly noticeable in the high.
source - http://www.puresativa.com/article054.html

I know for a fact Dutch Passion Hempstar is NL #5 X Haze.
The aroma is very fruity/sweet/like candy (lik-a-maid sticks to be exact)
Buzz is very couchlocking and potent. Great medical strain.

Wouldn't mind finding out more info about this possibility, if anyone else finds something please post.

:chin: I don't think sensi star is a hempstar? I grew both of them side by side last year and they are very different in growth structure, smell and high. They are both top notch smoke though.

Looking good MGJ :woohoo: Have you found your cloning method yet.

I just took some this morning we'll see how they do? They are 2 weeks into flower so I think they will take a little longer to root?

The temps are really cold now so I put an aquarium heater in my res. to warm the water up. I have the heating pad under them and I'm going to leave the dome on for a while to try and keep the heat inside.

Wish me luck.

Merry Christmas

Hiya Teresa
I hear ya! When I first joined ICMAG male plants were on the outside looking in... Can't make beans without 'em... Sent you a pm... Yup, I am very lucky, didn't think I was getting any males either... BX1 x BX1 and BX4 x BX1 I'm sure would yield some tasty plants. Your next run with TK crosses!:woohoo: Girl, you definitely have it going on! Hope all is well with you too sweetie - Happiest Holiday Season to you and yours my friend :friends:

Hiya Budfather
I like the way you think! Sounds like a fab plan... And thx for the props - yes, that PS is surely - or is that Shirley :pointlaug - an amazon. With a month+ left to go I'm hoping she'll be packing it on like an old style east german gymnast.

Hiya Alex
That Haze girl sounds like a trip - and ready to lift off! Love the way your cab looks 1./2 way through flower - you always have it filled to the brim!

Hiya Major
Thx my friend - hopefully I'll be able to preserve a copy of the SB. What u upta this weekend - any last minute shopping, or are you kicking back and relaxing? Clone wars - the battle still wages :badday: I put the heat to them though for another run - very good advice from Garlic - do you have a heater on yours? Man, are you starting your own Sugar Shack or maybe MP Canna Sugar Products??? Congrats on all the clone starts

Hiya TML
I see Garlic chimed in on this one - he's the only I remember growing both. I did a quick sample of the "Sensi Star" and man this stuff is more fruity than the Amnesia99 and that's saying a lot! Fruity and floral - I think there's a strong lavender scent developing.

Hiya Farmer John
Gasoline huh - bet it's 110 RON too! :biglaugh: How's tha GAM Project going?

Hiya Garlic
Thanks for stepping up to the plate on the Sensi Star question. I had forgotten that you had grown out both.

No luck Garlic - Casey is up at bat again though - trying it again with the bubbler, changing water daily, and heating it up to 76-78D. Been 2 weeks - no nubs or roots yet, but no rot yet either. Keepin my fingers crossed. Yeah, clones from flowering period take a bit longer to root, but my first run of Amnesia99 clones were taken in full on flower and they rooted out in 2-3 weeks, so my bet is you're good to go. Thanks for keeping the temperature advice active - I'm also using warmer water to water the plants in the cabinet - it's getting chilly in the basement... Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you and Hot Rod my friend! let's meet up sometime early next year.

OK - here are the 2 remaining female Sourbubbles #4 on the left #1 on the right, second picture is the top of #1

All the SB plants except #1 looked like #4 - a bit taller, not quite as buxom. #1 is very short - almost dwarf-ish - but bushes out very well. Very slow growers though - these girls were germed in Aug! For some strange reason #1 ( nicknamed her Shorty ) is growing in a crescent shape that's more obvious in the top view.

Hope everyone has a safe, happy, canna xmas!!!
