Madrid Me Mata.....! A really fun City. Intimidating at first, but the Spanish people - well their hearts show through - even in such an urban mileaux....
Not entirely sure that Galicia would be the most Cannabis-friendly part of Espana, lol, in fact, could be just the opposite. It is pretty conservative there.
But, that may be offset by a FIERCE respect for personal freedom. Galicia (SAntigo's Province) has never been conquered by outsiders, and - Not the Basque Country, (that is East of Galicia and Santiago de Compostela). Galicia is the only part of Espana never taken over by Moors, or anyone else. Vikings stopped there.
You will be surprised to hear Bagpipes during parades and festivals. There is a Celtic influence, especially on the Coast.
The language there is called Gallego, and at least half Portuguese, so good luck........ It ain't easy, (I was with a very good speaker of Espanol, who could understand almost nothing) with a lot of silent 'x's'.... haha - Very hospitable people make up for it. No one is mean-spirited.
