will moving a plant that's been under a light to a warm window sill on sunny days and than moving it back under the light stunt growth or will it help growth?

If anything it will provide a broader spectrum of light. Even if the intensity of the sunlight is less, i bet its good for it, as long as you arent exposing it to any risk by being there, temp humidity swings, bugs, etc. Theres no substitute for sunlight.

You put that young plant in direct sunlight and you're almost guaranteed to burn it.

You could gradually up the amount of time you keep it on the window sill, or you could put a bit of shade cloth on the window which will deliver filtered sunlight (you wont burn it this way) and keep the plant somewhat hidden from prying eyes.

I don't like moving plants too much, but that's just me.

Plants are very schedule oriented. If the window is good and bright almost always and the plant us put there and taken away at the same times each day then the daily relocation will be a plus.

If the window is not in an optimum spot or an excellent set of grow lights are in use the the difference may be small or even a negative.
Using irregular times or irregular days will cause more stress than growth.
So many variables it comes down to trial and error in the window to be used.

This is very true, I moved a plant from a 250w cfl and put it in the garden. Very first night I went out too look at it and most of the leaves had turned a golden colour. I hadn't seen it before so I searched the internet and found out it was Sun burn.

You're going to move a plant at the same time everyday?

I'd get pretty tired of that routine real quick, but that's just me.
