Been wanting to make it out to Yosemite before the season starts up again. Beautiful area. I want to bring a drone and take some footage. I am popping my light dep seeds here in the next week, so I might not make it out there.

do it! yosemite is great in the winter. bring your snowshoes :dance013: drone footage would be sweet... I want one of those 360 cameras!

I still want to make it up your way soon, been all over the place though.

Damn, Shcrews, lovin' the pre-season pics and can't wait to see what's on tap for 2016!
hell yah, me too brethren

its so beautiful, thank you for sharing these pics Shcrews and thank you very much to have answered to my previous questions, this place deserves to have a strain which bears his name like Yosemite Haze or Yosemite Kush maybe if you guys are more flow by the kush side :)
I agree, there's no breeders out here though, they're all up north and out west. Maybe someday i will learn to breed and then make the Yosemite Kush.

I did hydro outdoors last year and it turned out great but I've been loving a not till coots approach indoors and I'm gonna do that outdoors next year..also gonna do seeds. I'd like to try some maximus from South fork but other than that I have a bunch of bodhi lined up.

I'm on a hill aND it is unfortunately facing north but it seems to get a good amount of sun and has decent western exposure.

Cheers to hopefully a good year!

glad you're gettin into the outdoor organic soil. its cheap , effective and good for maintaining a human-friendly earth, but you knew that. plus ladies love organic farms ;)

Half my garden is on a north facing slope, it gets good sun in the summer but in fall the sun dips down behind the trees for a while. This messes with the plants because they get accustomed to all-day sunlight, and then it gets cut in half when they are flowering / need it most. I definitely saw more PM in that half of the garden last year. Still got some 10+pounders which tested 27% thc but you could tell the difference in plant health between those and the ones that got all-day sun for the whole season.

the north slope of my hill i've decided is for early-finishing strains, and i can run longer-flowering strains on the west slope so they get as much sun as possible in october.

My climate in general is an indoor area. Not know for its great outdoor seasons lol. What strains were fast finishing? And what hit 10ps at 27% on your northern slope? I could really use some of those. I guess my slope is somewhat northwest facing..I'm shooting for a 2# average but I think I could pull some 5#.

Ancient OG and Blueberry Hashplant both hit those numbers last year, Sky Lotus got damn close. thats on the northern slope. 2014 we hit those numbers with Ancient OG and Solo's Stash(25%). got close with WiFi#3 x Snow Lotus. Needless to say i'm a big fan of all bodhi's OG/Snow Lotus hybrids. One i'm very interested in is the Lotus Larry.

for early finishers i'd go with some bubba crosses, or maybe the Afkansastan line. They wont get 10+ but they will be done a couple weeks before the OG's which will finish before anything containing Blue Dream, jack, trainwreck etc.

everything seems to finish early at my place. I was done with harvest last year before some people started chopping

Subbed for sure!

Saw this, thought of your living mulch idea. This looks like clover and hay working together as one, which im assuming is for the veg state, but it looks like theyre flowering it... I dont know if you switch it up once it flowers or not but its a cool idea I saw and want to learn more about.

Buildasoil has a covercrop seed blend it looks like some people use but the alfalfa has a rough time making it thru freezes it looks like.

Edit: I guess theyre using the cover crop seed blend for their living mulch

Got a solid half week of good weather coming up here. Any plans?

Beach time! Santa Cruz. I'll go check on the farm this week but it's still the offseason for me. Might order some of that cover crop mix from buildasoil.

Pretty soon I will get my soil tests and order more dirt. It's nice to have plenty of time to get stuff done. My first season here we moved in May and didn't have plants in the ground until July. Barely made it through that year

Did you ever pick up a truck or other form of transportation or are you still depending on others to haul your ass around?

I just picked up a Dodge 1500 sport. Really liking it. Throwing racks and flow masters on next week.
thanks thats good to know. A few people have said the 1500's are whats up. At this point im on the verge of getting one of those or maybe a tacoma, just have to find a good one for the right ticket. I think i will shop around in LA , probably get a good price on a city truck.

So under 10 grand is the rule right?

Also if anyone knows, whats a good carport greenhouse? Costco didnt have any when i was in there but i havent checked their website yet.

I broke that rule. Spent about 15. That 10g rule is nonsense now. They can flag you for 4$ if they want. I know the bank manager real well in my town, and he flags people fairly often.

I would have bought a Toyota, but I wanted the large model and that is a lot more money than my dodge. The last work truck I drove was a Toyota. That thing was awesome, no problems and I ran it into the dirt at 275k miles. Love Toyota's.

We will see how the Dodge does, but ford and Chevy were my last choices. Just IMO, don't know enough about cars to speak in general.

I'd recommend a 2500 (also known as a 3/4 ton) - regardless of brand - for anyone in the biz. It will hold more weight and generally tow more. Amendments, construction materials and soil get heavy quick.

I second this. look for an old Dodge with a cummins engine. She will run forever, price of diesel is also going down

I also say go for a big dodge. Diesel if you can find one. I love my dodge. Rode the factory brake pads for 150k because I had so many highway miles.... my next truck will be a dodge diesel..toyotas are nice because they maintain their value, and are good trucks but unless your getting a new tundra, the can't really haul much.
