Mother Plants and clone question

I am in the quest for the ultimate female plant to use as a mother for my clones, so I've been sprouting seed, growing them for 3 weeks, and 3 weeks into the Veg cycle, I cut 2 clones.

After 4 weeks of veging the plant the clones came from, it's put into 12/12 light, and if the soil conditions are right, and the seeds genetics is right, the plant should be about 33 inches or 2.75 feet tall, and ready to begin the flowering cycle.

So after a month of veging, now you wait 8 weeks for the plant to flower, and see if the plant develops pollen, i've read that most females except the pure female will auto pollinate in a last effort procreate it self, and provide us with seed bag.

So now you know the 2 cutting you took earlier from the plant is no good, because the cutting came from a plant that auto pollinated, so now you have to start the process of seed elimination over, and start over with another seed, do the same process, and hope that you get the female that does not auto pollinate this time, if not, keep trying till you get it.

I've read that of 13 female seeds, 1 seed will germinate into a female plant, that will not self pollinate at the end of it's flower cycle, therefore making it difficult to find that perfect mother for your clones.

So after all the seeds, time, and work it takes to find the pure female that will not auto pollinate at the end of it's flowering cycle, and you finally come across it, now you take the 2 cuttings you took earlier, and you have 2 perfect female clones, so I put them in the soil, and so how long can I expect this clone mother to last?

Any one found the pure female yet? Any one have that ultimate mother growing?

how may years can one expect to be able to keep the mother plant going and cutting clones from it?

Also, about the plants auto pollination, i was thinking that if water is no good for pollen, and actually destroys the pollen, then it would be a good thing to mist your weeds with water when you see the pollen breaking on the plant? this will destroy the pollen, keep the pollination down to a minimum, and would help in the situation w/ female plants pollinating them self's at the end of their flower cycle.

still searching.....

but to answer your question, you can keep mothers for years if you need to. What I do is take the mother, take cuts from her, then stick her to flower, and use a new cut to replace the old mother plant.

I guess you are talking about a hermi? Why do you want it to polinate itself?
I would think you would want a pure female that produces well and has the best taste and high. I grew 6 plants, 4 were female and I had one outstanding one. I have cuttings of all 4 veged and going into flower but already the favored one is showing greater growth, more bud sites and great shapes as compared to the others.

No females are going to self pollenate unless you let them go a bit past their normal flowering time, when choosing a pheno for a mom you should be looking more at things like yield quality and finishing time along with the structure of the clones. If you're picking a pheno based on pollenation I've never really heard of that.If you let a female go past her flowering time sometimes she'll produce a male floweeer for self pollenation, but that shouldnt concern you when choosing a pheno.I've grown a lot of different strains if you have a hermie thats one thing,if you have a female some of the things I listed above should be what you're looking at,not the possibility of self pollenation because it just doesnt happen with a female plant

Believe it or not, almost every female plant has one or two seeds in it. These seeds will be female. That is what has kept marijuana alive for centuries. If there is no male plant to pollenate them, most females will create a seed of their own to keep the line alive....

I know what scorpio is saying, but if you have a female pheno that isnt hermied in any way, you'll shouldnt get any seed out of your growroom,I havent found a seed in my blockhead grows in close to 3 years and if there were even a single seed,I'd hear about it lol

ballastman, when i find a seed in a good bud, i get very happy and save it for a future day, so i don't think you will hear about that seed from any one.

You're misunderstanding the point though bro, what JJ says carries merit especially when growing outside, but believe me you can do grow after grow after grow of 100% seedless erb indoor if you take care,I know this man I'm not just saying it.Others know what I'm talking about its not too hard to grow 100% seedless with the right genetics and conditions, using bagseed or lousy feminized seed is one way to ensure a couple seeds just about every time lol!
