Back in the early 90's we used to call her P13 or "Project 13" . I have been hunting for her sense about 93. I cut my teeth growing in the PNW and she was a legend in my part of the deep woods. Man would I love a stash of those crosses!

Good luck finding the UDub pheno!

Thanks man. Unfortunately what I thought was a UW Black hybrid is actually a DSB Black Afghani hybrid. :tiphat:

Man I had some UW a few mos back, and I loved it. I been waiting for it to return, but aint seen it. My Friend who had it just took a hit and lost some real nice Moms. I am hoping it wasn't lost. A true Old School Gem for sure.

great job cannavore.

i've got a friend whose dad ran udub on an indian rez washington state area . udub, legendary stuff.

after posting on it ndnguy contacted me. he was really on the hunt for this one.

beans were too old to pop. they were hybrids anyway as udubb was clone only i'm told.

good luck on finding the udubb leaning ones .

^^^^ Nice :) I just bought Motas "Luther Dogman" which is Chem 4 x 96 Sensi Star F1
Years ago I smoked a strain called Morningstar which was....early Sensi Star x El Nino. It really cured what ailed me..lol. I have been trying to find original SS genetics ever since. Never thought to ask Ndn...otherwise I would have. I am going to also grab the mix pack with a 95 SS mom reversed to the TK, Tahoe, etc. I'd have bought the Bear Hug had it been available.

You'll get pretty close with Mota's SS stuff. Particularly the Bear Hug was very homogeneous and show a ton of SS traits.

I forgot I had this thread up here. I'll finish it off with my report and some more pictures.

Unfortunately I didn't have a cam at the time I chopped, and only have live shots of them a few weeks out from finish.

Looks:
• Dense, extremely frosty indica buds that are white and green in appearance.
• Outdoors it was a bit leafy. White, green and gold in appearance.
• Trichrome production well above average.
-
Smells:
• Lingering aromas - Fuel, mixed botanical and herbal aromas, dank, faint eucalyptus.
• Fermented red fruit, sharpie marker, and herbal citrus shampoo when broken up with light secondary botanical smells.
• Some citrus and botanical notes on my fingers. Also I get the smell of new plastic.
• Fresh bud had more pronounced eucalyptus and menthol which seems to fade after cure.
• Smoked bud has a sort of Brute-ish cologne thing going on.
-
Taste:
• The smoke is extremely smooth. Burns to white ash.
• Taste isn't really present too much. Nor am I good at describing tastes. I just get generic dank taste and some light citrus and botanical-ness.
-
Potency:
• I smoke just about every day and I'd consider the potency of this strain to be above average. It has the head crushing effects of a diesel strain in many ways. The effect is felt around the eyes, and in the "headband" region of your head. It's relaxing yet intense. Conflicting effects but that's the only way I can describe it. No raciness.
• I mainly use Bear Hug in the evenings, before walking my dog, and while relaxing.
-
Overall:
• Overall this is definitely an indica worth purchasing and growing. Bear Hug was easy to grow indoors and out.

• Looks: 8.9/10 - Shines like diamonds.
• Odor: 8.8/10 - Even in veg these plants had a fuely funk.
• Taste: 6.5/10 - Maybe I funked up but I didn't get much taste from these.
• Potency: 8.9/10 - Strong heady intense indica with narcotic qualities.
• Ease of Growth: 9.3/10 - Had no problems except high temps with my closet which one of the plants responded to. Run your females from mature clone before choosing a keeper! Yield was solid. Vigor was medium (definitely not a slow crawling indica or kush plant).

I couldn't get a good closeup dry shot of a larger bud, which is why there are so many popcorn pics. The bud looked beautiful to the naked eye but was not too photogenic.

Here's some other pics that I'm gonna dump in here:
