Most Productive Strain

Sorry about the rant. I was venting and it had nothing to do with this thread or anyone on it (well maybe BOG. That crusty naked dude stole my smokes in the cooler and he's BOG's buddy). I wasn't going to smoke them. They're for trade. No one gave you permission to fart but you still have gas don't you? You're lucky Gypsy found my shank in the last shake down. Are you going to eat the Mystery Meat Ball on tomorrow nights menu? I'll trade you 20 minutes with cloneme.

I grew Shiva Skunk (skunk1xNthL#5) in '90. Really start of Hydro in Aus. Got seeds in the Dam from Sensi.

My setup lacked light per square foot and was too cool (often) with no smell dampening :D

My Shiva Skunk clone budded very quickly. Due to mold I always cropped at 6w and one crop @ 5w. Their promise that you could throw away those manicuring scissors was my experience and although immature  my friend was happy

:abduct:

Mr. Street- Sammy posted a production/quality thread. How was the Yield on those premature Shiva Skunks? Could they have gone Big do you think if allowed to finish properly? How did they yield ( a figure or comparisson might help) taken early? You said your "friend" was happy but did YOU enjoy the smoke? Or don't you partake? Sorry about all the questions but Inquiry Minds want to know.

I AGREE WITH BOG, KINDA

I AGREE WITH BOG, KINDA

Yeah as a bog protege i would have to agree with the boggelgum.
I have grown it out several times and the longest it has ever took was 50 days even. The kinda part is that i think his strain lifesaver is the stronger of the two, it dosen't always have a super yeild but i have never grown one that took longer than 45 days. I have a mom that will yeild 3-4 oz's a clone. So i would suggest the new grape punch cause it is boggelgum crossed with lifesaver you can't go wrong. They only cost 50$, that is pretty cheap for real quailty. My two cents hope the search goes well.

Hi Herb,

FYI, re:LUI is mainly indica.

"Fuaryone... this is from breeder steve back in 99... (in part) ...Let me set the record straight Cotton Candy = Sweet Tooth, Island Sweet Skunk = Sweet Skunk, Mikado = Sweet Pink Grapefruit. These are popular clones I've named and let loose."

Re: Mikado "from "The Big Book of Buds" by Ed Rosenthal. Federation developed this variety around 93. Flavored like wild raspberries. They recommend growing indoors as a multi-branched plant, which suits the tendencies of this variety, leading to a better yield. Sea of Green is less than optimal for this indica, since it likes to stay short and spread out."

"I heard it came from a strain called Sweet Pink Grapefruit or something and that sounds tasty. I also heard it flowers in 45 days, only needs a week or 2 of veg, is perfect for a SOG and has a great yield. Says it has a long lasting uppity high

"I'm growing Mikado right now and it smells like some funky grapefruit, it is covered in crystals and looks very nice. this plant responds great to being topped, they say it's mostly indica but it looks more on the sativa side. but the buds look very dense, it seems like it's going to be some pretty strong shit."

How can BS have claimed this? Sweet Tooth is SPG (according to BS himself and every seed bank that has/had Swt Tooth) and if Mikado is SPG and Cotton Candy is Sweet Tooth (according to what you claim) then why are they Distinctly different plants? You've just claimed them to be all in the same. And your info says they are Clones put out by him. Where's the Male in a Clone only Female Grapefruit? True breeding requires a male doesn't it? They all might be a SPG cross but it is unlikely. Mikado is an auto flowering strain. None of the others are. I have worked all but the Cotton Candy. I WAS wrong about the BlueBerry in the Tooth. That was used in the Shishkaberry. But someone else is wrong about something here. Remember when you are dealing with what BS says he is paranoid and delusional. He has claimed that EVERYONE in the business has knocked his stuff off and some were breeding when he was a kid. I doubt he was breeding fine cannabis as a teenager. He seems to want to try and claim EVERY strain produced in Canada Ever, except the Romulan and the Chemo. I'm a fan of a few of his strains but I don't put a lot of Stock in what he has claimed in the last 5 years or what you have posted.

Hi Herb,

Yep, the "Cotton Candy is Sweet Tooth" doesn't make a lot of sense, I agree.

But it does seem that Mikado and SPG are the same.

And yes, there is BlueBerry in SweetTooth, according to the breeders. So the is a little tiny bit of Thai in the LUI.

I'm jeolous of how high you seem to be right now. What ya smokin'?

sweet tooth = cotton candy

sweet tooth = cotton candy

I have read some place that a shipment of B.Steves seeds never made to the shop they were to be sold at, and shortly after that these other strains started poping up cotton c. mikado...ect. more or less saying that's where Federation (sp?) got it's start. I think it was natures high foroums or og. is where I read it ?

Herbweedman,

Ok, although running 1000wMH and two 400wHPS on a 9ft track and 8ft wide thus 25w per foot. So light intensity was too low. This meant the room never warmed up.

.28g/w  and they were only 1/2 oz a piece

Bad numbers - if went to 40 to 50 watts a foot the lights wouldn't track over such an area - temps would have been higher - then I would have got at least .5g/w and take them to 7weeks without mold. Shame really but I still made a good return.

Sometimes I don't smoke at all - othertimes I smoke up to 3-5g per day over a few months.

The smoke was a light sixties type.

Herb Weedman, I was just going to let it go Seems to me your way to sure about lenght of time it takes strains to finish. First the comment you made about blue berry needing to always go more than 44 days I have had two friends in seperate parts of the country with different clones pull at 44 days yes they were properly finished out. To me it is not beyond the realm of possibility when making seeds recombining genetic information, that you would find exceptionaly early plants.
As for the early shiva skunk sure it is possible and even probable to find quality and speed of finish in the same place. I have seen properly finished sk#1 that finished at 35 days flowering. Half the hairs on it turned in a matter of 24 hours.

Wow, this thread started in 2004! Oh well, it's always a good question. Ed's Super Bud you say? What have you heard about it so far?
