Most potent strains

I disagree with that. If you have been smoking steadily for a year much less several years, then your tolerance is set. By the end of the 70's my tolerance was up as much as it would ever get to be.

If you mean that if all you were smoking back then was weak shit so anything decent would blast you, well yeah. I and a lot of others will disagree about all the pot being weaker. Most of it was but not all.

I would happily smoke the better stuff from long ago with no need for more potency.

Just give me some Santa Marta Columbian Gold from 1973! I have over 10,000 seed of 1973 SMCG but they turn to mush after they pop. One day!

10,000? Pop a couple hundred at a time till one takes! How are you germing them? If they still pop open you should be able to find a viable bean in there.

Snype get you some gibberilic acid homie, it'll help to germ them old, dusty seeds of yours!

Heard someone mention higher CBD strains! I bred a nice cross I've dubbed Zero Dark Thirty, it's LA Con x Purple Kush! We've only found two phenos in over two years of popping beans, one is 18% THC, 2% CBD and resembles the Connie mother with a li'l heftier yield, the other pheno resembles the PK and came back from the lab @ < 2% THC, 11% CBD ....I've been passing her out to different peeps, hopefully it makes it around MI to other med states, I see concentrates and edibles in the near once MI passes the bill into law!

This is true, terpenes along with the dozens of other less studied cannabiniods that are present in smaller amounts in cannabis likely play a considerable roll in the final effect.

One of the prolbems I find in comparing potency is when trying to compare something like a purely electric 100% african sativa with a knock out herijuana style indica. One is almost like doing a psychedelic stimulant and the other is a bit like taking valium. It's hard for me to quantify the effect of each because they are so different for me.

If I were to measure the potency by how uplifting and euphoric a rush the strain produces then the indica is going to score like 2 and the african sativa like a 9 but if I measure the potency by how sedated, sleepy and stupefying the effect is then the scores will pretty much be reversed.

This is a cool thread and there is a lot of good information here. I just wanted to point out why I think there tends to be so much disagreement between people as to which strains are strong and why. Indicas tend to be short acting and immediately powerfully narcotic and sedating with a lower ceiling where as Sativas tend to be long lasting, more clear headed and uplifting and euphoric with a higher ceiling. Each is potent in their own way.

I'm in the sativa camp so my list of most potent strains are all sativas simply because I consider the primary effects of indicas such as sleepiness and slowing of thought to be negative side effects rather than potency thus my strongest strains list includes stuff like Destroyer, Jack Herer, Panamanian, Old School Haze etc. One of my buddies is an indica lover and his list is full of stuff like Herijuana. He doesn't hate sativas but he always complains they aren't very strong and something is missing.

The African sativa probably has THCV while the Herijuana probably has high Myrecene.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Another good thing to keep in mind when testing potency is that one should bust out a scale and measure out the same amount of weight for the strains they are comparing rather than the usual thing that most of us do which is load a bowl of each and then compare.

A good recent example is when I compared my dense budded Sin Diesel to my extremely wispy and light Panamanian. Before the test I was certain the Sin Diesel was more potent because a bowl of it was definitely way stronger than a bowl of the Panama. Then when I weighed it, I realized that a single bowl of the SD weighed almost 3 times as much as a bowl of Panama. Thus in reality the Sin Diesel wasn't the stronger of the two, I was simply smoking 2 or 3 times as much of it as I was of the Panama. When I did a gram by gram comparison the Panama was definitely the stronger of the two.

For the basement grower, one can conduct a rough analysis of the flower's cannabinoid content by taking a standardized weight and doing a butane extract (alcohols don't work well as they tend to pick up chlorophyl and waxes more). Weigh the fresh bulk extract and then decarboxylize it. Weigh it again. The last weight is close to the total cannabinoid content + the heavy oils/waxes. Divide the last weight over the sample's original weight. It's a decent rough estimate.

I have the Gorilla Glue #4 about to go into bloom soon so we'll see just how potent she is ...or isn't! My bro I got her from is growing my Grape Stomper side by side and she's almost as frosty ...which blows my mind, my GS isn't the most potent strain but she's stronger than any GS hybrid I've tried from GGG plus she's won a couple local Cups for another bro!

Sorry about the teeny pics, Idk how to make em any bigger lol

Nice Chem Inhale! Sour exhale

Nice Chem Inhale! Sour exhale

I grew one plant outdoors so far and it turned out great!
Joesy Wales made this cross by accident. It was the find of a lifetime. Not only is it frosty, but it will fuk you up. I was seeing things the first time i smoked some. I puked 3 different occations, after only having a coupkle beers before smoking the gorilla.

The cut is not for sale. It is to be given freely to those who have a good heart, and not to be given to dispensories..

The good thing about this cut, is, it has a massive yield. Its very heavy. Heres another kicker_ You can pick it at 55 days. 63 is max, and your wasting your time ater that.

Mine looks like shit compared to what Purple Frostbite and Unclefishstick grow indoors.

If You know of me, Youll know I grow many kinds of Hazes and Sativas, not just Kush, or Indica. You will also know that I am personal friends with Nevil. NH21 x Mullimbimby Madness is a very strong cross. Super strong Head high and motivational up state of being. Tastes Great.

I know "most potent" is somewhat subjective, but high test results never hurt. Here are some of mine :)

I'll second that. Ace/CBG Panama is definitely potent but what truly sets it apart is the quality of the effect which is something special. Here is another example of some strong frosty Ace Panama. She is my favorite plant in the garden.

IC OVO what is the high like on the one with equal THC and CBD? Just curious. Very nice test results.
Dr, That yule log you're holding looks absolutely delicious.

I agree with Dr. Purpur and Hatter, CBG's or ACE's Panama is a good one, I am high with her now, did some outdoors and I did some indoors and I gotta say, there are so many good things about her, shape, size, resin, lots to like in that one.
