Most narcotic strain against insomnia

Forgot to report: Black D.O.G. S1 was seriously narcotic. I couldn't use it in the mornings: Instant nap time.

This time I only had one seed pop from an old HSO pack, but it was very much akin to a sample I got from a friend a few years back, so I suspect it's kinda uniform.

Both had noticeable leather tanning, raspberry leaf tea and licorice aromas, and a narcotic body high that came on as an afterburner following a Diesel-type rush.

I’ve run 3 of them so far and holy shit one of them is a straight knocker outer. 2-3 hits and my eyes are glued shut, body immobile and absolutely dead to the world.
The other 2 phenos have been really good for relaxing and winding down, but that one plant is just an absolute sleep hammer.

One of the phenos that want super sleepy became super sleep inducing at around 6 months cure time. Absolute sleep hammers.

One of my favourite bed time smokes so far: L.A. Confidential from DNA Genetics. Effect is mild in the beginning but after about 30mins it will really creep up on you. When smoked you have to be careful if smell is a concern with neighours/family members etc.

I had a really good cut of this from dark heart, back when they were good.
It is missed dearly.
Sadly what DNA has now is not the same

Thanks for the warning! I had DNA high on my "to grow" list. Maybe not the LA, but still very interesting. I think I should start a thread about DNA soon - or check if one is already available.

p.s. The good LA I had was from way back in 2008 (DNA), and I just assumed it would be still the same.

But isn't it almost identical to Bubba?

In Phylos' database, their own cut was grouped with the Katsu Bubba cut @dubi has and the pre-'98 from CSI Humboldt's collection.

The other closely related LA Confidential and Bubba Kush samples in there are much more homozygous, so they have to be S1 (feminized) seed pops.

Lots of amazing stuff to be found from Bubba S1's still for sure. Wherever you get your seed from.

I actually got both cuts at the same time at harbor side in Oakland. The LA might have been another vendor than dark heart though.

Jinxproof proof genetics 9lb hammer is quite potent and rather soothing, certainly gives of the sleepy feeling when vaping during late evenings. Though it was difficult to avoid during day time hours due to its amazing taste profile. I'm unsure if it's still run with the same lineage.

I wouldn't know because I haven't grown or smoked the original pre-'98. However, I have experience with many different Bubba S1 plants, Bubba crosses, and also LA Confidential. And I see many similarities between them.

Have you grown any Bubba S1's? The reason I'm asking is because I want to know if you would see the same kind of differences (and the same similarities) in them as you did in the case of LA Con.

If the Dark Heart Nursery cut was selected from seed by them, that would explain why it was different, too.

The Bubba I had was the pre 98 clone only cut .
Verdant Green has some excellent Bubba s1s.
I haven't grown them ,but they look remarkably close to the pre 98.
I bet that you can find very good, even better offspring in that seed line
