moss or something growing on my plant

Hey, I need your help. I just recently started out growing a clone in a 2 gallon DWC system, and it is not doing to well. The leaves are twisting and turning yellow, and there is moss growing on the diotamacious (sp) earth medium I am using. This is my first time growing, and I need your advice. The Ph levels have been fine and I have the PPM at about 600. I am using Advanced Nutrients Grow 2 part, Carboload, and B52.

Sorry, I dont have pics at the moment, but i will try to get them up ASAP.

Twisting leaves could mean anything; not sure about the moss growing on it.... but need more info.... what is your temprature and humidity levels at?
What is your water temp?

WHat is your ph and how often are you checking both ph and water temps?
You using tap water or RO?
WHat is your water ph straight out of the tap if using tap water?

I check pH and temp daily. I try to keep pH around 5.8. it fluctuates a couple points at most. I'm not sure about my water temp, but its by no means cold or warm.

Not sure about my humidity levels, and the temp is around 80

I'm using RO water

You want water to stay around 65 to 70, any warmer than 70 and you are inviting more trouble.

You got a picture?

diatomscious earth medium wtf ?
Do you maybe mean perlite, or something else perhaps with some d.e. sprinkled on top?
The "moss" you're speaking of sounds, to me, like you have algae happening on the white'ish surface of your medium. Happens all the time where a grower has any consistantly moist surface exposed to light in the grow room, and especially on the white surfaces such as chunks of perlite on the medium surface exposed to light.

Algae isnt usually a problem on the medium for the most part, unless its a rockwool grow in which case the algae can screw up the capillary action of the rockwool structure and cause it to not "breathe" like its supposed to. Best to shade the tops of your planters in hydro systems though to help prevent (or reduce) algae growing.
