You found a really good resinous Beldia @goingrey  She reminds a lot to the shorter, colorful, resinous, mid-low yielding, main cola with little side branching expressions from our Lebanese.

All of them were resinous really, makes sense it's a hashplant.

The Lebanese must be a good one, people even use it to breed ganja cultivars. The Moroccan has the benefit of being much faster.

Out of the tumbler. Didn't have enough for a full load so the five minute "top quality run" didn't yield much so I just let it spin for a couple hours. A bit too long, too much green in there, but oh well. What can I say, sometimes I even smoke bud with the entire bud attached.. ;)

got two beldia ladies indoor flowering at week 6 rn.
They were the most vital plants in the box, for reasons of space I changed to 12/12 after only 2 weeks and after another 2 weeks both began to form white pistils.

beautiful smells of pine, honey, flowers and something sweet on the finish.
When the box was opened, my Girlfriend thought that our Christmas tree was giving off that smell lol definitely suitable for guerrilla growing.
Resin production is now increasing and the calyxes are slowly swelling more and more.

I use two different soil mixtures: one a little lighter, the other a little richer The one in the lighter earth already has almost all of its sunleaves yellow, the other one is starting to get purple and is a little different from the other one.
The sugar leaves are much wider, like i known from indicas and I See that she takes much longer to ripen.
Ill give them another two weeks and I hope that the nutrient supply is sufficient, it is an organic mix and I usually avoid mineral additives.

Someone had experience with that widesugarleaved pheno? or is that just how it is with this landrace 🙃

Welcome to ICMag @ElPedroLoco :) and thanks for your choosing our Beldia for your current grow.
Glad to hear you are enjoying so far with this strain. Yes, there are different leaf shapes in Beldia, some produce wider leaves ... others wilder, thinner sativa leaves.

Some Beldia plants can produce pigmentation when grown outdoors in cold climates or indoors with low temps. Kindly post some pics of each if you have the chance so i can get a better picture of your expressions.

Does it make sense to expose the ladies to drought stress for the last few days by not watering? I've heard that it benefits Moroccan varieties. :dance013:

They have been flowering for seven weeks now since the preflowering was visible and the autumn colors are very beautiful.

However, the white hairs on the headbuds are still white.

How long did you let the Beldia flowering before harvesting?

I think ill give them another week and then chopchop :tree:

Wow o_O very impressive voluminous flowers on your Beldias @ElPedroLoco

Sorry for the delay in the reply. How are they doing lately ? finishing or already harvested ?
You can make a drought stress with them at the end of flowering and stop feeding if you want them to finish quicker, and to avoid more reflowerings.

Hi all,

Last year I decided I will start a kind of amateur breeding project / test. My aim is to get something that is capable of dealing with no watering outdoors. So, last year, I bought a pack of 5 regular beldia. I actually got adviced on getting the Khalifa ones but decided to take ace's one for first tests.

I got 3 females and a male out of the six seeds (I guess either probably me or the growshop I bought them at, did not store the seeds properly) and they seem to be doing quite well. They are doing so well that I recently bought another pack of 10 and a pack of 10 beldia x lebanese. My plan is to grow them in 2 litter pots and later bring them to two different plots I am to prepare (one strain in each), watering them once and leaving them alone for the rest of the seasson. I will probably keep some seeds instead of germinating them all, but this year I am going to store them in the fridge after getting them vacuumed.

Also I plan to keep these four at this place toguether with another two and a guawi. This year I am also going to buy a ph meter (would those cheap ph metters from A** and Ali** would do the job?), since every year I am getting problems because of not measuring it. I only want it for outdoor seasons so I am not sure to source an expensive one.

Regarding Beldia, I think I have readen there are two differen phenos. one of them which is more in the thc side and the another in cbd side. How could I differentiate it? Not sure this is like that in regular edition. Does any of those who have grown this strain has any clear idea regarding that?

Also I would like to ask about the stretch in flowering. I heard it is low to none but not sure I have to lst them if I don't want them to reach the fence top.

Left to right: either Ace's Golden Tiger or Fanta seeds' Mango (got a pack of 6 freebies from an online shop with Golden Tiger label sticked over Fanta Seeds' Mango label. They told me it was a recycled bag, but I am not too convinced), a Jack la Mota, the beldia male and the three beldia females.

I think there will have to be balanced phenos too - not just CBD or THC dominant.

If they are already flowering I don't think they'll grow above the fence, if not then who knows..

Hola @Luiggi, that sounds like an interesting plan. Beldia and Lebanese genetics are some of the most resistant to drought that I know of. Do you grow in a hot Mediterranean climate, am I right?

If that's the case, plants won't or barely survive 2 months without water, unless we have a rare rainy summer month like this June.

You won't know the exact chemotype unless you analyze each female in a lab. Like in any traditional hash plant population (the same goes for Lebanese and ErdPurt), you can find in Beldia all different THC-CBD chemotypes if you grow enough plants to let statistics show them all.

You won't find chemotypes containing both THC and CBD if you limit the gene pool to either THC homozygous or CBD homozygous. If you have one parent that is THC or CBD homozygous and another that is THC-CBD heterozygous, then you can recover all the chemotypes in the future.

Thanks both for answering,

Male did start. Females seem they just shown sex.

I don't think it's Mediterranean at all since I am in the inside of the peninsula. North of Aragón, but yes, summers are pretty dry.

won't they survive even planted in the ground? under blackberries (zarzas)?

Regarding this I have to read it more carefully and examinate the concepts since I am not so familiar with them.

They will face greater challenges in the continental climate of northern Aragon compared to the Mediterranean coast. In a Mediterranean climate, weather is quite humid, and the sea helps to moderate temperature contrasts. In your continental climate, however, it is very dry, and the temperature contrasts are much more pronounced.

Give them a try in guerilla without much water, but visit them at least every 1-2 weeks if there are no rains for weeks, as often happens in parts of Spain during summer. Otherwise, don't expect much future from them other than a loss of time and resources.
