heres a cut that dont get around much. 85 oregon Blueberry. shes @ 19 days. and trics are commin on. slight berry tone to the afghani aroma.


nice bushey plant, already appears there will be some nice heavy colas on her.


been lookin forward to gettin one in flower, havent ever had a blueberry, as just been waitin for the right plant or seeds. hopefully this is it. from the bit I smoked of her, its a nice not to sweet BB.





reminded me alot of the arizona white tea with BB. just the BB aroma and taste. like fresh BB, not overpowerin.

here she is @ 54days, movin the plant around and theres a nice BB aroma from her. rub some trics on a leaf and right off its almost like poop,lol. as it airs out the BB comes out. real strong stuff. trics are all still clear at this point

More than likely you are correct. There is an old cut of blueberry passed around OR for many many years now. To my knowledge my best friend in Or is the first person to call it Dabney blue.Only reason they use Dabney in the title is Dabney is the name of a disc golf course out there where my friend plays at all the time. He always smokes blueberry at the course and it picked up its name that way.

IMHO, Dabney is what DJ tried to make into seed form with his version. Dabney is a strain that really smells and tastes like blueberries without mutants and hermies like Dj's and is a nute hog. Dabney puts DJ's work to shame. Its like what came first, chicken or the egg. Did DJ create blueberry or did he get Dabney and try to work it?

Yes i have read his work but so what? There are a ton of breeder hype stories. Alot easier for him to sound great and say he made somthing after years of work instead of knocking off an old OR cut.

Dabney is a nute hog, not prone to mutants or hermies. Really tastes like blueberries and smoke it great. Dj's and Dp's smell berry sure, but so does shishkaberry. They arent as pronounced as Dabney blue. Plus dabney is by far the strongest and best blueberry out there. DJ's releases are nothing to compare to dabney. More like a watered down version of it with problems

Kind of like DP's Stawberry cough. Based off a clone that is amazing but falls quite short of the clone.

Well first off this thread isnt about DJ, its about the OR cut of blueberry, hence why i responded with my observatiosn based on growing and smoking the OR cut as well as those in seed form. So for me to talk about it is what this thread was started for , if you dont like it dont read it.

My proof is based off of grows, if you dont like it, again tough shit. Where is Dj's proof, an article? Big deal, anyone can sit down and write a story. Ever hear of the bible? Millipons beleive that and its a story. Dj's proof is in his seeds and from gorws of mine and friends and threads on IC and OG there sure is alot of mutants going on. Not one mutant in Dabney.

Both are great plants. A lot of people don't like DJ SHort Blueberry because either 1.) THey have not found the right phenotype or 2) they can't grow for shit therefore the product turns out bad.

DJ's Blueberry is very sensitive to everything. Also, sometimes the "holy grail" is expected of Blueberry. It's not. It is what it is. A good tasting, beautiful to look at, and nice flavored plant with euphoric qualities and a slightly sedative stone. My DJ Short version will stay in my stable of mothers longer than the Old Blue

I must say that I personally like this DJ SHort Blueberry a little bit better. I find the stone more creative and euphoric, which is what I like. THey both taste great, they both smell great. The Old Blue has a more deep blueberry syrup smell and flavor, where the DJ SHort blueberry has a more candied blueberry flavor. Old Blue is a great production plant...but better plan on having a trimming team available cause she is one leafy plant

Mr. Nevermind, keep in mind that dabney blue is an extremely unique and amazing female grown out from seed. It obviously took alot of work to find it or else there would be a seedline, multiple cuts etc. So someting as special or even more so could be found by running lots of DJ's BB seeds.

Also I remember people at OG saying that they thought DJ used dabney/ol' blue to make his seedline simply based on the assumption that this was his "mystery afghani" used in the cross. Regardless DJ has put in the countless DECADES of work into his line.

Please dont think that I am trying to jump on you nevermind, but dabney/ol' blue is only represented by one cut from one seed of one phenotype. DJ has been making his BB beans for decades now. In that respect you have no idea if there were mutants in the dabney seeds because you never grew them out. You were given a hand selected cut out of who knows how many rejects. While that does not mean that there were mutants in the dabney seeds, it just gives a better perspective of the scale of which we are speaking about. In order to make a fair judgement you would have to find the top representation of DJ's line and then compare. Looks like Mr. Dank did something along those lines.
