Montreal Cops Seize Drug "40X Stronger Than Heroin"

The guys name was william leonard pickard. Rolling stone magazine ran an article about his bust. I think it was called, 'The Acid King'.

I had first learned of his bust, cause it personally affected me. I had a buisness intrested in the stuff at the time. In my area, around 2001-2002, Acid went from $150 a sheet, to unavailable completely. When it did come back around, it was $500.

I found this real quick when i googled him.

"Rolling Stone reports on the arrest of suspected acid guru William Pickard and his life in the world of psychedelic manufacturing and research. Pickard is believed to have brewed more LSD than the legendary 60's acid mogul Augustus Owsley Stanley; he may also be one of the few people in the world capable of cooking up synthetic mescaline. His upcoming trial may offer a unique glimpse into the guarded world of LSD manufacture in America."

He was using a missle silo to make acid. If that gives you an idea of how much he was cooking. And obviously, lsd is one of the most potent substances in the world, so a little amount of cyrstaline lsd, is really like 1,000,000 doses. And he was pumping out keys of the stuff. By himself. Pharmaceutical grade cyrstals.

I used to have respect for the guy. Too bad he turned snitch.

Pickard was the who got snitched on as I understand it. That Todd character who owned the missile silo grassed him.

Some real sketchy shit with that crew. Have you seen the Neurosoup chick on youtube? She was Todd's GF, they split, she got another BF, then took the BF to Todd and helped him to drug and torture him. They injected him in the balls.

This is a new drug? What a joke. Sealed Bottles that looked like a real medical product were being distibuted in the 70's, it killed several people I knew, including a pregnant girl with her unborn child. If you think this shit is strong, wise up you can make a smokable base that is really really dangerous, one puff easily od you. No one should ever take this crap it really is dangerous even if the police have all their facts wrong.
The only good thing was stupid chemists left impurities in it that killed many who took it but it also led to Parkinsons and some treatments and understandingof the disease.
This shit is poison, like all hard drugs, just 100 times worse...

survival of the smartest. if your dumb enough to take that shit then good luck to ya.

Statistically speaking, people who use drugs, are more likely to be of higher intelligence, than those who do not.

I'm not Richard Dawkins, but I'm certainly not dumb/thick/stupid. I took smack because I had an insatiable curiosity about drugs in general, and I continued taking it because it felt good. If I'd had a magic money tree in the backyard I'd probably still be doing it now.
Many non drug users see you as a stupid druggie scumbag for smoking ganja.

He may have got snitched on, im not sure about that. What i am sure of, is that after he was already sentenced, he starting co-operating just for the hell of it. Now i hate snitchin for any reason, but why someone would snitch just to snitch is beyond me. He said he had a 'spirtual awakening' while in prison, that lead him to want to help LEO. Im pretty sure there was even an article about it somewhere.

One of the men intricately involved in the case but not charged due to his cooperation, Gordon Todd Skinner, owned the property where the laboratory was located; he approached the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) about working for them.
story of the torture
http://thislandpress.com/gordon-todd-skinner/

it's a long read, the torture part is much lower

hollywood ****

we could tie the story up with the other thread where we talked about snitches

I tell all people that about hard drugs, if you don't like them why take them? If you do like tham then NEVER take them, get it?
I have seen way to many people try them, like them and their life went down the tubes losing family, money, homes, or teir lives.
If you dont understand the difference between hard and soft drugs you are proof that not all drug takers are smarter, wise up...

I think you may have misunderstood him. Nothing he said indicated to me, that he doesnt understand the difference between hard and soft drugs.

and yes sam, hard drugs ruin lives. its not a secret.

from the way I understood it and remember reading,

hard or soft refers to the level of addiction that is related to a certain drug

cocaine, heroin (opiates), methamp = hard

and was surprised when I learned that mdma, lsd were considered soft drugs along with marijuana, mushrooms etc

it doesn't go with strenght of the product, but strenght of addiction

Of course I understand the difference. It's 10 years since I got clean, and I wouldn't go back down that road. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Hell, if I'd wanted to, I could have helped myself to all the prescribed smack left over when my Dad died, but I didn't and it all went back to the pharmacy.
I would say to anyone thinking about trying H, don't do it. Under prohibition, it is no life to live. There are serious consequences. I never went out committing crime, and quit when work couldn't keep up with the financial requirements. But my veins are all fucked. If I had an accident and needed an IV in an emergency, I would probably die while they are still struggling to get a line in. If a much loved relative needed a kidney, and I was a perfect match, I couldn't donate, and can't give blood if I want to (I don't have any diseases, but they don't take the risk)
My point was that it isn't as simple as "Only stupid people take hard drugs"
:tiphat:

Let's lighten things up...

Police are warning about a deadly new batch of Heroin cut with curry powder. According to a statement 11 people are dead and 3 lads are in a Korma.

Harry if you got into an accident you'd be agonizing the agony of one that has done way to many opiates/opiods.The price of feeling better than good may just be feeling worse than bad when you natural pain killers go "What, you talking to me?"Made me sell my motorcycle lol

I dont like drugs like this.
That being said, cops will and do lie about everything. Especially in a case like this.
Read around, there are cops that say they got sick, high, had to go to the hospital, from being in a grow room.
Ya right, they are just trying to scare people.

Just caught wind of this thread... after reading it through, I need to point this out:

desmethyl fentanyl ≠ fentanyl.

That is all.

I'm just saying that people are making comments in here about this being fentanyl, and how that's not a new drug. But this is desmethyl-fentanyl, which IS a new drug, on the streets anyway. This is the newest research chemical to hit the market, it seems. It is absolutely a different drug than fentanyl is, and it is irresponsible for people (like someone on page 1 did) to make the claim that desmethyl fentanyl isn't real. I admit I don't know much about it because I don't fucking care about opioids, and they should only be used by people who are going to die soon, so that it eases their pain and helps them to not be freaked out about dying... but I do know that removing the methyl group from a psychoactive molecule can render an even MORE psychoactive molecule.

Anyway, it's not uncommon for some research chemicals to be so potent that even absorption through skin can bring on its effects. It's really fucked up that someone is putting this on the market. Reminds me of ecstasy pills in the 90s that had pma in them.

Other than acid, and a foolish stint of gas huffing, I steered clear of "hard drugs". Acid was a one shot deal for me, as I instantly realized my brain and strong hallucinogens were not a good mix. Huffing literally killed me, or as close as a person can get.
New stuff like this scares me. Even if LEO is fudging the numbers by a wide margin, this stuff seems like a scourge we don't need.
Too many kids around my son and daughter's age popping pills that come from God only knows where. Synthetic crap everywhere. Even BHO, and the quest for ever-stronger edibles bothers me.
A good friend of mine used "spice" for about a year, so he could piss clean for a high paying job. He managed to quit that, but swears (2 years later), that he is changed from it, and not for the better.
Maybe I am a stick in the mud, too old to be "cool", but damnnn. How high does the average kid need to get anymore? You will always have junkies, but I'm talking Wally and Eddie Haskell, getting lit up on the weekends.
When did smoking a bowl with your buddies, and walking in the woods become not good enough?
I wasn't around for the 60's, so maybe history is just repeating itself, beyond my experience.
I'm just holding my breath, and trying to talk to my kids about this crap as much as possible. I have taken them to visit a couple of old friends graves, and I think that helped.
Regards.
