Monsanto's 'cancer-causing' weedkiller destroyed my life, dying man tells court

I think I have shut down and cleaned my garden as many times thru the years (anytime I could not fix a problem without treating flowers, period) as I have met growers that will proudly admit selling poison weed because profits are more important than being a good human.

One day it would be nice to see the people who do not care for others or their planet escorted away from them.

What's even more sad is that most of you deny me the right to my own opinion.

A closed mind is a terrible thing.

But since I don't believe the same as you, I am.... well, now the last poster said I was "genius".

I don't call you guys names just because you're a little pussy and afraid of a little Roundup. I'm just not like that. I believe everyone has a right to their own opinion. If you guys want to be crying whining little pussies, I don't have a problem with that. To each his own.

However, if I want to stand up like a man and face death, you all call me names.

Go bash the President. LMAO

He is not my president. And we are not judging your opinion. We are pointing out that Bayer, Monsanto and so on have made a billion dollar effort to own the worlds food supply, all seeds and pretty much every persons ends up shopping with. They did not do it by sound business practices. They lie and cheat and destroy anythinh that gets in their way. They remove freedom of choice. At this point you are just being a troll like any other time someone points out this or similar information. Imo the difference betweem good and bad people is that good ones make mistakes but if informed will at the least correct them. The bad are the ones that know right from wrong and choose to repeat a process that is detrimental to others, even worse defend it or brag about it.

It is the biggest problem facing the world. People not caring about others.

It is not hard to figure out these companies do not care about your or my well being. And they put a lot of effort into making sure no one has a choice. And it is all based on facts not opinions. I have plenty of opinons too.

And, you don't care about theirs. So, tell me again... how are you different?

Neither of you care about anything except what YOU believe in.

Now,it just becomes an argument over who's beliefs are 'right'. And, since neither are, it goes on.

ALL humans are the same. You all only care about yourselves (and yours) and all you can say is.... Fuck Monsanto and Jeff Sessions.

Well, just because you hate them..... doesn't make them bad. Maybe they are the good and you are the evil. OH NO!!!!! You could NEVER accept that.

And, Monsanto could never accept they they are the evil.

Again, I don't see the difference between you selfish people and them selfish people. You all look alike to me.

What led you to think this way? I try to respect people with all my choices.

It seems your only trying to justify your own choices. And poorly.

I have to confess I used it in the past. I just didn't know any better.

Works like a dream. I sprayed it on the weeds and they where gone.
I used the extremely strong concentration of 400gr a Liter. From which I added 500ml to a gallon. Destroyed small trees too.

All the products containing glyphosate are now forbidden in my country.
I'm from west-eu (Belgium) and our government genuinely cares for our health. Government said it's bad and causes multiple deceases including cancer.
They also said the American company Monsanto (I think) lies about the testresults and have big influence in American politics and also American academic world.
Our government did there own tests in cooperation with our academici and was shocked with the results, they immediately took the hard decision to outlaw the product.

I see now city workers using boiling water from special machines and flamethrowers on weeds in the streets and people picking weeds with there hands.
Gas powered flamethrowers sold in gardenstores are recommended by government or picking it out by hand or other mechanical way.
I pick it out by hand now or use forest mower. I don't want to burn everything down...

I liked the product, but it's forbidden. Flame throwers used wisely are much safer said the government...

Here are some pictures from garden flamethrower if you don't know it.

Edit: Good for snow too it appears maybe I still buy one. Costs only like 25euro including 4 small gas canisters if you don't like carrying around big gas bottle. Lol.

Don't feed the troll and hope he goes away. Dunno why IC lets trolls that aren't entertaining and draining on the community continue to contribute minuscule amounts of any substance.

Anyone remember that guy in the late 2000s, early 2010s that didn't post any grow related stuff, just in the tokers den? Never kissed a girl and would ask how to do basic human shit and appear human while doing it (eg: paying for groceries). Those are the mentally unstable trolls we need back, guys like this..... :moon:

The human race preys on itself, and it does so most horrifically through corporate social engineering and they capitalize on human nature like desires of ease, ignorance and pride and we reinforce it as a part of consumerist culture.

We are all ignorant to some degree and at some level ignorance is innocent. It becomes impenetrable when we make it a point of pride that we do know it all and our desire for more convenience make it inconvenient to admit it.

Thankfully you are conscience enough to admit it because while we do one some level choose our behavior we can't make significant changes to our lifestyles in regards to sustainability unless we understand why our culture is so counter intuitive to that dynamic.

The learning curve presents a challenge but it is gaining stride with people because the lifestyle itself is self fulfilling as we eliminate toxins from out bodies.

It is not a sharp or instant transformation it takes time which goes against our cultures impulsive self gratification practices which are the root of many social diseases for which the government taxes us to manage.

At some point it is accelerated entropy for the benefit of a select set of humans who believe their ability to horde resource will help them survive whatever this planet brings.

Most people understand this dynamic to an extent but just feel to small to do anything so they say fuck it.

That's how the behavior became acceptable in the first place and drove us to the point of ecological disruption we are experiencing now.

The people who headed the corporations that committed crimes against humanity would be hung for treason if it wasn't for the corporate veil and stock returns are the bribe that makes it possible.

Well said. I tend to just get annoyed and go on a rant when somebody starts defending what they know is wrong.

Anybody that buys groceries is a huge enabler of glyphosate use. That shit is used on your corn, soybeans and Canola. It is everywhere.
If glyphosate kills? I’d be a dead man.

T

Teddybrae

I used Roundup for years. not a lot by general standards. I even rationalised my use by saying that Roundup's residual Phosphates provide minerals for the soil. I noticed tho that subsequent growth on sprayed areas was slow for a while and recognised something bad must be going on.

So I went back to digging and mulching weeds out and gave my Roundup to my grain Farmer son-in-law who uses the stuff by the 20 litre. (There's all these fucking containers at his place awaiting disposal!)

Here in the wondrous Land of Oz, Roundup is advertised as being safe for use near waterways. this claim is partly true. Except unfortunately Monsanto did not say the wetting agent in their concoction kills frogs. As you see they did not tell any lies they just forgot to mention frog-killing effects or did not test for that.

Monsanto and others like them eg Dow are a HUGE unrecognised problem to Earth (and future generations).

Bravo, I feel that way as well.

However, I was never advocating the use of any product by any company.

Only the consideration that they might not be wrong, that 'you' might be. And that you're not open minded enough to accept it. I never said anyone was wrong or right about anything. Only that it might not be YOUR way. LMAO

There's that 'closed mind' thing again.

"bravo" I feel that way too

lol

fatalism and apathy does not equate to smart for anyone including yourselves

it is one thing to not know about what is polluting your body it is another to accept it as unavoidable and even worse to DELUDE yourselves and potentially others by saying "IF IT WAS DANGEROUS HOW COME I AM NOT DEAD ON CONTACT"

that is absurd, even dangerous poisons aren't instant in their effect and as many threads have spoken about this dynamic in the past it speaks nothing of the detriment of cumulative exposure to toxins

How you eat, what you consume not only effects you but when enough people make the same choices it forces the hand of the market itself

one of the biggest developmental failures of this community is that a gross percentage of people "drop out" of society living life as some solo fatalistic trip when all it is doing is through acceptance and silence reinforcing apathy and giving acceptance to the self depreciating behaviors of the mainstream

HST was the poster child for this exact dynamic and where is he now and what good did his words do?

one of the reasons I call people all the time for not being "men" is that so many of you are trapped by your own psyche to repeat destructive behaviors imprinted but never questioned

if you feel so small and helpless that you can't effect the world so why bother remember there are people less qualified to care for the world that run it simply because they but a little effort to do so and because so many people rather not do shit but please themselves

at one point everyone gets their shit pushed in by life and they have to nurse their psychological and physical wounds, but to stay stuck there and not engage is counteractive to everything that gave the people the power to legalize weed

they can only fuck us if we lay down and show them our ass

as the human genome would have it we should all be cog native to the need for humanitarian harmony and any deviation from caused by gratification of earthy desires

that same gratification can be had without someone, somewhere having to be marginalize, that is the direction all life is evolving in and here we are the one organism with a choice willing to work in the opposite direction for the sake of perceived satisfaction or easier said as narcissistic delusion

if only all minds and hearts where clear for but a moment to see the absolute truth

fwiw the end test of navy seal training is a very powerful test of the mind

Cracks me up the way people blame Monsanto for everything.

No one is forcing them to eat roundup. They eat it because they are fucking stupid and have no clue what they are eating. Those same morons eat at McDonalds and think the burger is 100% beef. LMAO

If you give a monkey a gun and he shoots someone, do you blame the monkey?

How can you blame Monsanto for being smart enough to convince you eat poison.

I don't suppose these idiots ever considered that if they stop eating the foods with Roundup in them, the farmers will eventually stop growing food with roundup and Monsanto will stop selling it.

It's all about profit. You take the profit away, they have no incentive to make it.

The real problem lies with the fact that the common people are way too fucking stupid and way too fucking lazy to actually put in the effort to determine if the food they eat is 'Rounded" or not. As long as that situation exists, SOME COMPANY (Monsanto or not) is going to take advantage of that stupidity to make MONEY.

So, keep eating it and keep screaming about how it's killing you.... My Bayer stock is skyrocketing.

Spraying roundup all over your farm and garden is different then eating at McDonalds. Or drinking Seagrams. Everyone knows McDonalds is shitty food you eat there it's your choice. You drink shitty rot gut for 30 years that's your choice.
You spray Round Up all over your yard and farm it's not going to stay there. Besides the obvious, that it ends up at the grocery store and doesn't carry a label that says 'Sprayed with a known carcinogen.' It ends up in the air, the water table, your neighbors yard. You can buy this shit at the hardware store and spray it wherever the hell you want.
I'm a former beekeeper. I don't keep bees now because I'm sick of them dying off every year. I didn't see a single bee in my yard until May. My fennel is flowering like crazy. I saw one sorry looking honey bee pollinating it. There were a couple wasps and some mason bees but 20 years ago it'd be covered in honey bees.
Besides killing the bees Round Up kills the wild flowering plants that supply bees with the pollen and honey they need to survive through the winter. The people that want the perfect green lawn without dandelions or other troublesome weeds are destroying their own food supply without knowing what they do.
My grandmother foraged for dandelions during the Depression, they're good eating although most people have forgotten. Wonder if those Bayer stocks are nutritious?

Beekeeping my first year this year. Very rewarding. And one more reason to educate people about the truth.

And as long as we are picking on bayer and monsanto I should mention Nestle is no better. They illegally steal ground water and sell it among several other shady activitys.

love for humanity and apathy/fatalism in regards to effecting it can exist at the same time.

thinking all you can do is get yours isn't evil, it isn't inhuman and it is very common and everyone has a proclivity to be this way but it is the greatest tool of suppression of the masses, keep them from actualizing their own value.

look what happened when the cannabis counter culture stood up to the mainstream

what I am proposing is not easy, or immediately fulfilling or a promise in results which is why it is so easy to want to dismiss it especially if you know success because at face value it seems you would have to give something up

I am not suggesting people with give to people without but rather that people with use their resources in the same way except with some mindfulness to the causation it has on others and if it is not a healthy model to seek a better one because if you do so you just might find it.

What does that really cost? Do you think that mindset teaches us anything?
