Well I am not GMO free, I use GMO insulin that gives me a lot less problems then the old insulin I used from pigs and cows back before they had GMO Insulin, that much I do know. It was not so long ago when you had to use pig or cow.

Closest I have ever heard about "gmo" pot would be a tale told by my old neighbor in the late 90's.

His son is pretty gifted, couldn't decide on a career so he spent a fair amount of time in Univ before finally settling to be a pathologist (bones type person)..

He told me a story that his son told him ,about one of his profs who had a 50 gal barrel in his basement with a prepetually flowering MJ plant. Story goes that the prof was doing research into marigolds or some other anual, and tweeked the plants to grow into "monster plants, that never stopped flowering"...ie no sensience... The son said the prof applied the same process to MJ so that you could chop a branch off and it would simply continue growing, sending out new growth shoots (much like buds that grow pretty much off the stem on our "trees"... Basically the son would go over to the proff's house, and be able to pick a bud, microwave flash dry it, and smoke it....

Sounded like BS to me, though the son was one of the smarter people I have met..) and frankly there was no reason for him to tell a wild tale about MJ to his dad...

I did not say that, you did.
I have been an Organic Biodynamic gardener for over 40 years, but I see in the USA anti-GMO is a failure, you can't even get a GMO labeling law passed in the USA, and you think you will prevent GMO-Cannabis in the future?

I would try to start at the first step which is GMO labeling laws for all products and crops. That is maybe what you should spend time trying to make happen instead of wasting time worrying about GMO-Cannabis that does not even yet exist it is not grown or sold.

Pass a labeling law, and if GMO-Cannabis is ever made it will have to be labeled, then you can avoid it. I live in the EU and we do have GMO labeling laws and no commercial GMO crops grown in Netherlands as far as I know. I grown my own corn, tomatoes, beans, and a few others, like Cannabis, I am sure they are not GMO. But am sure that if people can think of it someone will do it, lets be sure when they do it is labeled as GMO Cannabis then consumers have a choice, if they really care, few Americans seem to with GMO foods. I personally would avoid it.
But if you eat beef, chicken, pork from a USA supermarket, or big restaurant, I bet you are eating GMO fed animals?

Why the hell should GMOs scare Americans? We're the ones doing the modifying. It's all pretty simple to us. Who's going to feed 7 billion people, the scientists or da hippies with their compost piles.

Yikes GMO is not the answer, currently the western world is wasting or 'throwing away' 30% of food production,

There's a lot more to discover than modifying plants in such a way........ I think..........

Well I suppose Agent Orange's publicity is when the public started to take notice of Monsanto.

There's a lot of nasty companies that are already guilty of lots of nasty chemicals that are presently interested in GMO.

Not any of them have great track records with concern to public safety or casualties in their pursuits.

So maybe it's just easier to say Monsanto than Dow Dupont Disney blah blah blah...
