Modifying the 'Moonshine mix'?

That is Moonrise (Moonshine Haze x DPD) at around 60-65F a few days before it was done. These were grown in a 5 gallon, but to be honest, there isn't much of a difference between the 3 gallons. I have noticed that the leaves do tend to turn a bit yellow towards the end, but i wouldn't say prematurely. I was a bit apprehensive about the yellowing with my first batch, but I've always gotten great tasting, clean toking buds.

My suggestion is to fertilize with their mix into the 6th maybe even 7th week (sometimes at half dilution, depending on strain, you can dial it in) to delay it, but yellowing isn't inherently bad, especially towards the end.

For this feeding per 5 gal of pre ph'd 7.0 water.

Week 3: 2 tblspn of Age Old Organics Bloom ½ oz Maxicrop seaweed 1oz of Mother Earth Ingski, when you first started this thread it was back on May 4th, 2015 and you were using Tea bloom ½ oz B1 thrive alive bloom. Week 4 & 5 4 tblspn Age Old Organics Bloom 1 oz Maxicrop seaweed 2oz Mother Earth Tea Bloom 1/2 oz B1 thrive alive bloom When feeding make sure 20% of what you put in is peeing out the bottom. Start flushing 12-17 days before harvesting. Are you still this formula to feed? Have you changed it at all? How many grows have you done using this mix with the nutrient feed? Have you ever tried growing with straight water and no nutrients? What is DPD? And where did you get that strain from? Are you going to use 3 gallon pots instead of 5 gallon pots since you haven't noticed any real difference between the two? And how do I add pictures to this post?
I am currently at day 34 of flowering and everything is looking great. Out of 3 plants, I lost one because she was a tranny. That hurt my heart because I get so attached to my ladies. I lost a branch off of my other plant because of my inexperience at light stress training. I am about to transplant some of my clones into either a 2 or 3 gallon pot as soon as the lights come on tonight. That is where I am at with my first attempt at my water only grow.

I went with those values and have plants going in on Monday. 24 plots in ground 50gallons per. I'll take pictures and might do a journal but more likely will just post on this thread. Babies going in: Tangerine Dream, Holy Grail, Dutch Treat.

I'll be feeding with Botanical mixes, spraying azamax, pyrethrins, and ogbiowar and met52, and do some aact and sst as well. Working on an Insectiary in the middle of my garden to attract beneficial insects like green lace wings and the like.

I'm doing a separate grow with my parents with a super soil that's made at a local worm farm, so fresh shit! I'll let you guys know how they both compare!

Well either i didn't guess the right values or the end volume is wrong. A full batch ended up yielding about 75 gallons. I have 65 gallon pots and intended to fill with 55 each but i have modified my method and cut X's in the bottom of my felt pots and filed with soil about half way, then lifted up on all sides to make the bottom blow out and do two things: give me more root volume and make it so my roots can burst out the bottom and continue growing in my native soil (which i tested and it's pretty darn good, wine country soil). Then i end up with 75-80 gallons of root space and even after filling that to about 3 inches from the top of the rim, i still end up with some extra. The mix measurements are kind of vague, which kinda blows. Some exact measurements would be nice. Either way,i figure anything that could be lost could be replaced with extensive tea action. What do you think? Did the recipe seem to yield around 38 gallons for you guys? Also i split the perlite amount with rice hulls 1:1 since i couldn't find green sand. Also i powdered subculture M @ 3 tbsp per plant on bottom and top as i transplanted from 3gal pots. I'll post pictures tomorrow or later this week.

Thanks guys, especially Ingski and Keith Optimo420. Keep it real!

I am now looking through my notes and wondering where i got this 38 gallons figure. I can't seem to find it on Moonshine's site or other forums (gasp!) talking this mix. It's likely my own dumbass calculating wrong at one point. See folks, this is why you don't sample your own supply! I now calculate roughly 77 gallons per batch, depending on coco. I used a full 1.75 cu ft bag per batch. Luckily i have made room for extra.

If your planting in the ground why put them in a container?

Are you planning to move them later?

Well that was certainly a point between my partner and i. I was just thinking fabric pots above ground on pallets would be dandy but my partner wanted in holes so the roots don't over heat and initially wanted to cut the entire bottom out of each pot. He was thinking the roots would then be able to burst out in all directions. In the end it made sense to do it with the crosses for stability (my call. Bottomless pots seemed a bad idea). We also slit the sides a bunch and back filled around as we went. It's now kind of a mesh bottomless pot all blown out. Oh and i switched us to great white. Always wanted to but my partner is financing mostly and he's always used sub m. Easy to switch someone over when you have them read the contents and compare

Here's an update pic just before we finished up with our 30 plot

I think the labor on this potting setup was a bit more intensive than any reward it could provide, but who knows. I am not opposed to doing extra work to avoid an argument and compromise. I figure it will still work just fine. Same thing with the perlite layer on top, not something i usually do but whatever. Happy growing!

I'm about to post some update pics. We're a little over 2 weeks now and initially i had a bit of transplant shock, followed light nute burn, especially on the young ones. Weather also was not quite favorable, sometimes going down to the lower 40's at night. Unbelievable they all made it! It was about a week or so of shock in new developments, interveinal purpling, chlorosis, limey new growth. Nothing looking detrimental, but i knew this soil was hot. But not too hot. Nothing that looked like it was going to over take the plant. At this point, thru are vigorously growing. Deep uniform greens, fat stalks, romaine looking meristems... great stuff! So yeah, I'll be throwing thanks out like kittens but i really mean it. These are some of the best looking plants I've ever seen. So far, major +1 on the moonshine mix. I'll be using this one for a while. And to those who are new to it, don't worry about the first week of stress/burn, it's just a very rich soil and your girls will get used to it and love it. If it lasts longer than 10 days you might have an issue but i have 3 very different strains at different ages including one that had only been out of the cloner for a few weeks. Strains are holy grail, tangerine dream, and dutch treat.

Here's some pictures from about a 5 days in where they were stressed. Again, weather was not the best so i certainly include that as a factor.

And these are about 2 weeks later, june 7th
