Well Here we go again
Im doing a run of SSH .


I will be using PureBlend Pro Gro And Bloom along with some Liquid Karma and CalMag+.

Im currently Using RO water with
5Mil Calmag+ per gal.
7mil PBP Grow per gal.
I also use Floralicious grow as a foiler spray @2mil per gal.

This feeding will continue for most of my mother plants Lives.

My plants are in a nice cab I built about a year ago

I use a DWC set up for the mothers.

I planted all of these in rapid rooters on 1.29.08 and will be pulling clones in about 10 more days.

When I started my grow I failed to Calabrate my PH pen which was a big mistake so I had some problems. DWC reacts very fast to your mistakes I have found but also corrections take hold at a faster pace in my limited exp.
All plants were put in rapid rooters on the same day but ofcourse 1 took off as the others lagged because of PH issues.

This plant #1 is very Sativa

This one here has the triploid thing going on so she is #3
The smallest one is some GD purp I was gifted by a friend.

They will be Flowered in this room under 800 wt of HPS In a ebb and flow set up

One of our other members Pedro48 is Doing a SSH grow in soil and planted on the same day as me so we will be doing a growalong to compare notes etc etc.

was it hard learning about and creating your hydro setup? im growing in soil and am interested in your grow method. i know theres a ton of literature on it, but i was just wondering what your experience has been

Everything I know about hydro I learned on these forums from its members.
Most of my room came from HD Im guessing I have about $1000 in it which is not two bad I guess.
I have only grown in hydro so I think its easy LOL.It can get exp getting started

PH is KING in hydo in my experiance but once my room gets going I can leave it for as long as a week in early flower and 3 days in late flower without doing anything. My intire room automated so to speek so I just ck my rez and keep it topped off.

The DWC set up I have for my mothers is a bit diffrent. I dont keep mothers more than 3 runs before I flower them out so I think its ok. I dont think you could keep a mother much longer than that but I may be mistaken.

Hey Bad Karma!!

I see your grow is coming right along. I put my other four SSH into flower today after transplanting to 3 liter pots. SSH1&2 should be showing sex later on this week...or I hope so. I'm always anxious to see how many of what sex I get

I have very limited experience with hydro but you're right about pH. About a year ago I tried a ebb/flood grow but had so much trouble I converted it to soil. I just don't have the time right now to fiddle with a hydro. I live in an apartment too. I can break down this soil grow in my hydrohut in an hour. It'd be a lot harder to do that with a hydro.

regarding pH...I had a HELL of a time keeping pH stable. The water here is hard but I didn't think it was thatbad. My problem was pH stability. I'd get it to 6.5 and 12 hours later it was back over 7.0. I suppose I could have installed a small RO and solved that problem, but I didn't feel like it so I just do soil right now.

Obviously I don't know, but I would think you could keep mothers indefinitely in a DWC environment. Why do you think you can't? Or do you just like to flower out mothers after a while anyway?

I'm hoping for 3-4 girls on my grow. 3 would be ideal for what I want to do IMO. I'm not obsessed with yield. I just try to grow the healthiest plants I can...then trim/train them for my limited space. Yield will be what it will be. I do believe that I'll get between 7 and 8 ounces this grow if I get 3 nice girls. It'll also dpend a lot on which phenotypes I get. The NL/Skunky phenos will yield a bit more than the haze pheno I had last grow...at least I believe so.
It'll be fun seeing how all that plays out.

Now that my plants are in 3L pots, I have gone to 30ml/gallon of PBPro Grow. So far SSH1&2 seem to be tolerating it well. I'm going to push these plants a bit more than the last grow. I'm also going to use 12/12 at least initially. I think I'll get better yield than using 10/14 like last time.

Sooooooo keep up the good work!! We'll show these folks what a great strain Shanti's SSH is!!!

I Flower my mothers because of root rot mainly after a few months in the DWC I seem to lose control of it. That and I love to throw a big one in my room from time to time lol.

Well here we are after a bit of cloning.


All the girls look happy and are doing great in the cab.





I took 15 clones on Friday . I only need 8 but a friend of mine has MS and I have been supplying him his meds. He decided he wanted his own grow so im hooking him up.


The clones are in a EZ cloner with a 8in dome they are getting misted 3 times a day with RO water with some superthrive in it. I am using Shultz take root as a root stimulator. I have pulled about 100 clones to date and have used both Shultz and Clonex I have had the exact same resuls with both 100%. The clonex is about $29 the shultz is$4.99. Guess which one im going with from now on LOL

Sorry I forgot to tell you when I put my plants into flower.

SSH1&2 went into flower on Feb 26th. 3,4,5and 6 went into flower on March 2nd.

So far they are doing good

I put the Clones in Flower on the 17th. I have also decided to flower my GD Purp at the same Time.
The plants will be getting Flower nutes today.
PBP Bloom 12 mil
Cal-Mag 5mil
Liquid Karma 5mil
1/4 Teaspoon Epsom Salt per gal
Super Oxy H2O2 3mil
