mmj growers: clones or seeds?

Seeds. I found the plants to have a lot more vigor when grown from seed, also clones from dispensaries often are not healthy. I picked up a couple to fill out a space and they wound up bringing PM in:(

Clones are fine if you make them yourself or get from a very clean trusted source. The uniform plants and all being females are a nice factor, but eh, i like getting various phenos.

thats part of the problem... too many youngsters ...never even learning the art of cultivation ... it all comes from a seed ... sum have never even seen them... let alone grown them...
seeds are where the future lay... clones are for lazy folks ... why grow out what sumone else considered good enuff .... when U can make up your own mind with proper genetic's, care, and patience
U too can learn the art of viable plant selection ... then U can truly say .... screw those other guys work... I got my own....

I think that a lot of growers have learned to just say no to foreign clones, and they've learned the hard way from highly resistant strains of spider mites, root aphids & other sorts of nasties. People who keep high end tropical fish get the same attitude having brought home some plague that annihilated their pets.

Some of the best is grown from clone only strains but there are risks not found in seeds.

I enjoy growing from seed & have arrived at having credible technique in that regard. It's kinda like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates- you never know what you'll get- which keeps it interesting at the personal grower level. If I were in it for the money then, yeh, I'd have clones all over the place, hopefully the latest, greatest & trendiest I could come up with.

It'd be nice to be able to breed cannabis, to have the facilities to keep mothers, fathers & to select from a multitude of individuals for those efforts, but I likely never will. Pollen chucking is in my future, I think, but I'd have to be pretty arrogant to think that I'd be anything but lucky to do it as well as people who've been at it for 30 years.

For me, it'd just be another aspect of the box of chocolates experience.

Both. Whenever I get a male that seems like a keeper- I use him to hit everything in the stable for seed. I run about 50/59 clones and seed from my grows mostly intentional seed sometimes random seed from my buds.
