although i just looked it up cuz i didn't know wtf you were talkin about... care to explain what the mitchell report is.. i didn't dig too deep into it but it seems it drops names of MLB players who juice up! maybe you guys can shed more light on the issue because honestly, i never liked baseball and still dont so i don't keep up with it lol

I like baseball but cant really watch a whole game lol.

The report has released more of the biggest names in baseball that also used steroids. Roger Clemens being one of the biggest. Dont quote me but I think at one point you could actually get hgh(human growth hormone) at gnc. Also known as 'the clear"

Whats sad is all the records being broken by these new athletes. They did not have steroids back in the day and who knows if the older athletes would have done it if it would have improved their game and if it was available.

all i know is that its a shame that bonds got treated like he did when any other player of his caliber and greatness juiced up also

hopefully i'll be at the stands when the Yankees come to Pittsburgh with a nice big sign about that one

i'm not hypocritical but barry bonds broke the record and wasn't on steroids throughout most of his career mostly the last few, and i highly doubt Roger Clemons gets treated half as bad, same with Pettite over the same issue

baseball has a steroid problem in more than just one player, just because Bonds broke a record doesnt mean he deserves to be ridiculed over something everyone in the United States knew that was a wide spread problem and i'm glad its now known as that

actually, even if bonds DID juice, it kinds legitimizes it because it seems EVERYONE was juicing anyway... the reason people are against steroids is because it creates and uneven playing field. if everyone is doin it, the playing field is even lol. NOW, if Bonds is proven to be one of the few superstars to actually NOT juice, then a lot of people owe him an apology and that asterisk everyone wants to place on him should stand for the assholes that doubted him.

BUT.... BUT... we'll have to wait and see!

my issue with others regarding juicing is if the old school stars could MAKE the records, why can't the new guys MAKE new records too. i think we hold the old stars on too high a pedestal not allowing today's athletes to break records without speculation. and that's what's victimizing Bonds right now. the steroids just make it easier to do so along with other obvious factors.

but as i've said, we got to WAIT AND SEE!

SS.. The clear is a steroid not HGH..

HGH was only made thru extraction of dead bodies thus was very $$$$$$....

Now they make it in a lab so the price has dropped..

As for Bonds... he has used roids since 1996 come again on how MOST of his records were pre roids...lol he's a CHEATER...

WHERES big MAC ...not on the list.....so does he get in the HALL then :asskick:

Like I said when every1 was calling Bill B a Cheater.....IF your not STRETCHING the rules your not trying to win!!!

AG thanks for "clear-ing that up lol I agree 100% with you

Devman the problem is that bonds broke records that were set by men that did not cheat. That is a huge problem and sad for baseball.

Poppin fresh Bonds already admitted to using steroids, he said he did not knowingly take and only found out later the clear was roids. He also said he used it in front of everyone in the clubhouse to treat his arthritis and lack of sleep.

I did not need to have some dude telling me that a lot of players were using P E D s, it was pretty obvious the first time I saw Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco pump those Tree trunks they called forearms.

Lenny Dykstra was the most obvious though, now that I think back

Well said BL. Hopefully everyone has had a chance to learn about the Mitchell report so let those opinions fly.

They all use steroids. It's just a matter of who gets caught. The lucky ones don't, and the unlucky ones are temporarily blacklisted.

You know I got to wonder how many of us would juice up to get or keep multi-million dollar contracts. I got to be honest...for a contract that would keep me and my family financially set, I'd inject hemlock. Now throw in fame.
Money and fame...come on, admit it...you'd reach for the spike. Especially if you see or preceive everyone else doing it. You want the bucks. You want the fame. You want the bucks. I'm not saying it's right. In the ideal world, no cheating. But hell in the ideal world, our hobby would be a event at the state fair. Our world isn't ideal and humans cheat.

No, they don't.

It's obvious, to me at least, which players are doping:

the pitchers that break down far to early in their career (Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, Eric Gagne, etc.),
mediocre players who's stats suddenly explode (Bret Boone, Brian Roberts, Adrian Beltre, Gary Matthews, etc.),
the rookie phenoms (Albert Pujols, Troy Glaus, (I suspect Ryan Howard) etc.),
players who are trying to stay in the league either because there abilities have diminished or who's body can't handle a full season (Neifi Perez, Paul Byrd, etc.),
and finally,
players who want to be their absolute best and also play for as long as possible (McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, Clemens, Giambi, Sheffield, etc.)

Superstars that I know are clean; A-Rod, Vlady, Soriano, Manny, Ortiz.

Hey Now, too little to late, just bullshit, Mr. Mitchell ought to go back to politics. He never accomplished much at that either. Roger Clements will laugh about it everytime he makes a withdrawl. When they get to football,/basketball players there won't be enough space or growth hormones left to print.
