hey Neil, Yeah I hope the runt gets going soon! she is only a day younger than the other 2!
Unicorn, those plants of yours are very tall? Do you keep them tall like that for a reason?
JLP I can't thank you enough for the beans! by looking at the first 2 photos in my previous post can you guess which parents are showing the most in the seedlings? Or is it a bit early to tell yet?
The runt hasn't changed much. These plants smell great already! so different than the Thai I am growing outside. Both smell great just in different ways. The Thai smells more candy/fruity the MM has a smell that is hard to describe, but it is good! earthy spice smell...I guess thats as good as I can come up with.
Here are a few shots of the MM. The dark one is really skunky smelling. I love it. The other one has the same sort of smell only it is not as strong...The runt is still going!
hey thai glad i stumbled into ur thread, i will be following along! u mentioned security concerns for a previous grow, is pot totally illegal in thailand? i was under the impression the govt didn't care but apparently not...are the penalties severe? all the best, look forward to seeing the wee ones get a move on!
Here they are in the great outdoors. I transplanted them this morning and today will be their first day in the great outdoors. They are about one month old from sprout. I think they seem a bit stunted compared to unicorns anyways...It must be due to the lighting problem I had in the cabinet...The lights were going on and off due to a bad connection.
Be careful of what you wish for! I did want "A" male MM but now I have 2. I have planted another seed for now also!
Males possibly due to the stressful environment I had them in indoors? Anyways I started another seed and I will not be putting in indoors at all. My indoor cab now is relegated to strictly cloning, as it seems to do that ok, but I think because the power often browns out it stresses seedlings
here is a little mud..she is the last to show and growing slow compared to the other three..thanks jlp...thaiphoon..they sure do like it outside i only aspire to grow outdoor...i get ripped everytime i try..peace
I have lost one of the Mud's. I am not sure of the exact cause. Anyways, I was afraid that the males would spew pollen everywhere, so I moved them inside. I think the room I put them in got too hot. The leaves of the lighter colored plant wilted and had what looked like a p deficiency and died over night. I tried to revive by flushing and I even took the top off and put it in a cup of water.
The other one I transplanted into fresh soil mix of coco/rice hulls/compost cow poo/. It seems to be doing well in the shade again. I also topped that guy and the top is surviving in a cup of soaked coco in the clone cab.
Since the loss of the one. I have started another seedling. This time I am not starting it in the cab. I have it outside alongside the Johnny Blaze seedlings.
Check out the similarities between Johnny Blaze and Mississippi Mud:
Also check out the percentage of "Thai" in the parents, as well as the amount of "unknown" genetics...
Any ideas on what might happen if a cross of MM and JB was made??
Light stress during veg totally fucks up plants. It ended up stunting two of mine (Hindu Kush and Durga Mata). I ended up yielding a gram off the Hindu Kush. IMO if you can't veg under constant light, germ outdoors. You'll have much, much better results. Especially under that incredibly intense Thai sunshine. I got a hell of a tan out there a couple of weeks ago...
I still have the male alive that has a sortof skunky smell to it. The smell is great and better when you give the stem a little rub.
The seedling is doing GREAT outside. I totally agree that the lights fucked the other ones up a bit.
The veg cab is for keeping clones only now!! I have a bunch of Thai clones I will be putting out in June. After the days start getting shorter. I learned a valuable lesson this year about growin outdoors where I am. That is the flowering season STOPS around the end of february. That is when the Thai's started to re-veg...
I think I might have made the same mistake as you. My Hindu Kush reverted to veg, so I took the bud and left some smaller buds at the bottom. The Durga Mata was a ball of botrytis. It was horrible. The Afghani got root rot, but barely any budrot. Got about 2-3 grams off it. My last crop was well over a lb. dry of good, pure Indian sativa, so this harvest was hilarious.
My Jamaican Pearl and Sour Mist are doing well though. They're still budding. I hope they don't revert. I'm further North, but within 5 hours of BKK. That's all I'm going to say I'm NOT in Thailand...
