Oh I see. Thanks for the response. So if I'm going through my SG beans to pick one strain that has the strongest tendency to purple for me, would Dionysus be my best choice? I just want something purple is all.....lol.

Dark Dionysus and Dionysus Queen both have purps in them.
Chances are 50/50 for purple.

I gotta apologize. I was off the mark with saying dionysus...When I actually meant to say Ravnus (wich if my homework is correct, is dionysus and DQ?) After reading my post again, I think it might look like I'm fishing for something...which is true to an extent. I hope it don't seem like I'm lurking for any favors. I'm more trying to figure out the best way to hunt for a purple pheno (even if it's no where near neon standard) based on the gear that I have...Rav, DQ, GG, Overlord, halo 2 and of course noc. I guess I'm looking for the best approach.

It's funny that you pointed out the BC Purps because I've been wanting to get my hands on their Sage and Sour also. Starting to build a wish list from them...

Alright.... the endeavors of the day... A Nematode farm.

My starting materials

Using the chopper, I ground old fashioned oats into a powder

Cook to a mushier consistency than you'd eat....

we are using clean water.... no chlorine. And no... my fingernails will never be clean.

Almost ready...

I chose to add some milk to the equation to thin out the consistency to where I liked it....

It must be allowed to cool to room temperature.....

I chose to spread yeast instead of mixing it in initially...

The 2 clumps are the nematodes...

And this is the spread yeast....

Around 2 weeks I will need to prepare more oatmeal as this will ferment... the existing nematode culture can be used to inoculate the new medium indefinitely...

We should know how viable the leftover nematodes are soon enough... they were donated by a friend, refrigerated from 2-3 days ago... as long as some are viable we should have action soon. Nematodes should never be "mixed in" as they can only survive on the surface.

SG, honestly GQ is a beautiful plant. All the attributes a grower loves to see. The lavender coloring just gets me. Covered in sugar goody. Very thick heavy buds. It is getting better no doubt but a far cry from where i am trying to get to. I love to grow but there is much to learn. Hope u feelin ok SG.

GQ, the double edged sword.
Too mutated to circulate, making it a breeders nightmare.
But so far, every single non-mutated female is spectacular.

#1 GQ smells of mango and peach, thick and frosty stoney.
#2 GQ pheno is stacking up bud and getting a sweet HoneyDew melon smell.
Can't wait for #2 to finish and #3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Feeling all Forest Gump box of chocolates all up in here

Hey I got a lil update on the Pimp Daddy Purps here for ya.. today they are on day 25 from the flip.. lookin damn nice. #1 has a real nice smell.. its not berry or sweet, its almost like a mint to it.. its not a smell that I have encountered yet. The branching is real nice and the frost is just starting to form, also the roots have grown down into the 5 gallon bucket now too.

Pimp Daddy Purps #2. Hey man you weren't kidding when you said the slender ones tend to do better.. This one has more frost already and its already going purple in week 3! I've never had any have color this early on before, thats gotta be a good sign for things to come. This one smells a lot like the Dion.. that sweet Grapey that everyone loves so much, I'm wondering if thats The Purps coming out in them.

Won't yield as much as her sister, but I can already tell its gonna be good stuff. #2:

I got some Nocturnals that I just put into 10 gallon homes.. They will be getting put into flower here in the next few weeks.. They look damn good too!

Gmorning SG, Got my second harvest of Noc done last night. It seems like waiting so long to chop might have given a bit better haul than my first one. I let this one go to 76 days and I notice that while the swell stopped around day 60'ish they got really dense towards the end much more so than than the first run. Im running my third round right now and thinking that I'll take it to the same length of time to see if it works again for density. Another jar of goodies!
